"Victor help please". Genevieve hurried out of her room, banging on the couple's door.
Victor and Zyra, who had lain relaxed on their bed, Zyra under his right arm while his left arm held a book which he had been reading to her, they looked at each other, perplexed, before hurrying to the door to hear what she had to say.
Victor flung the door open, while Zyra stuck her head out. It was already late at night.
"What's wrong? Why are you screaming so late at night?". He asked.
"It's Sofie, she's been complaining of belly pains. I think it's the baby. I'm worried".
Victor and Zyra turned to each other in terror. Was she really pregnant? This shit was beginning to get real.
Zyra turned back to her. "Where is she?".
"In the room".
"Come on, let's check on her". She patted Victor on the shoulder and they all ran out to see Sofie.
As they flung the door open, Sofie lay on the rug, turning and twisting with her arms around her stomach.
