The whole room was filled with the chatter of people who had come to celebrate, some happy that the Hales were getting an heir even if it was from another woman, while some were there only for the gossip, and others to rub the fact that Zyra couldn't bear a child for her husband in her face. Gentle music filled the room while guests were served drinks. Everyone came bearing gifts for the unborn baby.
Zyra and Victor watched from the second floor. Zyra was disgusted by people shamelessly gossiping about her marriage but she wasn't expecting less.
