Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 You call this the Sun Wheel Sword?

A Vampire?

Du Mu wasn't surprised; the opponent's characteristics indeed matched the Vampires in his impression.

However, the settings of this game seem a bit too mashed up, even fantasy creatures like Vampires are appearing.

Du Mu retracted his elbow, shaking his head with a helpless expression: "Look at you, if you had just said so earlier, you wouldn't have had to take this beating."

You didn't give me a chance to speak!

The red-haired big wave was furious but dared not speak, convinced that this human in front of her was a lunatic.

Du Mu scrutinized the limp female Vampire, asking curiously, "You said you're a Vampire, so what kind are you?"

"Vampires have types?"

The red-haired big wave was stunned; how did she not know about this?

"Of course, some Vampires are slightly stronger than ordinary people but can only drink blood, and they have a bunch of obvious weaknesses. Some Vampires are not afraid of sunlight and have superpowers, but they're love-struck idiots who constantly get into love triangles with humans and werewolves. So, which one are you?"

"...I should be the former."

Although the red-haired big wave didn't really want to admit she had weaknesses, she certainly didn't want to be categorized as a love-struck idiot.

Du Mu pressed on, "In America, are there many Vampires like you?"

The red-haired big wave hesitated for a moment: "Not very many, otherwise we would have been discovered by humans long ago."

That much was true.

If Vampires were everywhere, S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't possibly be unaware, otherwise, with Fury's personality, he would have already started considering a mass extinction.

Du Mu continued to ask, "Are the recent numerous missing person cases in the Bronx related to you Vampires?"

Hearing this, the red-haired big wave suddenly froze.

But seeing Du Mu slowly raise his elbow, she quickly said, "Yes... yes! Some time ago, Fees suddenly announced that he would allow us to hunt humans on our own, which is why we started hunting nearby."

"Who is Fees?"

"He is the leader of the half-breeds, and he has a very large influence among Vampires."

A hint of fear flashed in the red-haired big wave's eyes.

[Mission 'Investigate Missing Persons' settlement complete!]

[Rewards obtained: 500 experience points, S.H.I.E.L.D. reputation +10, equipment 'Sun Halo Blade']

[Equipment: Sun Halo Blade (Made from a special material that absorbs sunlight, it has a fatal effect on all creatures afraid of sunlight)]

[Player, do you want to skip the plot and start the subsequent mission?]

According to the normal process, Du Mu would need to report the situation to Fury, who would then issue the next mission.

But this game system could directly skip this step, allowing players to seamlessly transition to subsequent missions.

The game did a good job on this point.

Unlike some games that force players to watch the plot, not even providing a skip option.

"Skip!"

Du Mu decisively chose.

[NPC Fury has issued you a new mission]

[Mission: Ghost Sweeping Operation]

[Objective: Clear out the rampant Vampires in New York, time limit one week]

[Reward: Depends on the number of Vampires killed]

Afterward, Du Mu asked a few more questions, and the red-haired big wave answered them all honestly.

There was no other way; the psychological trauma from that elbow strike was simply too great.

"Last question." Du Mu held up one finger, "As long as you answer correctly, I promise to let you go."

"You say it!"

The red-haired big wave seemed to see a glimmer of hope.

Humans will do anything to survive, and Vampires are no exception!

Du Mu smiled, "The question is simple: please prove Goldbach's Conjecture."

The red-haired big wave: "..."

...

A moment later, Du Mu pushed open the bathroom door and walked out, but there was one less figure beside him.

It proved that people really would do anything to survive.

Except for math problems!

"By the way, isn't the appearance of my Sun Halo Blade a bit too unique? System, you wouldn't give me a fake, would you?"

[The appearance of the Sun Halo Blade varies according to the user. Whatever kind of person the user is, that is what the Sun Halo Blade will look like.]

"You call this a Sun Halo Blade?"

Du Mu held up the Machete in his hand, looking speechless.

What kind of person did this Machete represent him as?

Someone who likes to eat watermelon?

"Ah!!!"

A piercing scream suddenly cut through the clamor of the bar!

Du Mu followed the sound and saw someone in the dance floor being violently tackled to the ground by another figure, sharp fangs savagely piercing their neck, blood instantly gushing out!

Clearly, that was also a Vampire.

Like falling dominoes, throughout the bar, one figure after another suddenly erupted, pouncing on unsuspecting humans around them!

In an instant, countless screams and shrieks echoed throughout the bar!

Facing this group of attacking Vampires, ordinary humans had no power to resist, like lambs to the slaughter, one after another becoming dinner for the Vampires.

In a short time, the entire bar was transformed into a bloody slaughterhouse!

Shriveled corpses lay scattered in viscous pools of blood, the floor reflecting a nauseating crimson glow, and the strong smell of blood was so pungent it made one want to vomit!

In the chaos, some punk manipulated the lights, and a spotlight suddenly shone on Du Mu, instantly making him the brightest guy in the whole place.

In that instant, dozens of crimson eyes, gleaming with hungry ferocity, simultaneously locked onto Du Mu, as if he had stumbled into a gathering of the Uchiha clan.

"Hello, everyone, are you eating? Are you full?"

Du Mu greeted them awkwardly.

The Vampires grinned menacingly, surrounding Du Mu from all directions, intending to prove with their actions that they weren't full yet.

Looking at the encircling Vampires, Du Mu showed no panic, merely tightening his grip on the Machete... Sun Halo Blade.

"Don't say I didn't warn you, exercise after a meal is bad for your health."

The Vampires completely ignored his words.

The Vampire at the forefront bared its fangs, impatiently rushing towards Du Mu, wanting to claim first blood.

Swish!

A cold flash quickly passed!

The charging Vampire's body suddenly froze, and a subtle scratch quietly appeared on its neck.

The next second, its head silently slid off its body, and its entire form, like a lit piece of paper, instantly turned to ash and dispersed into the air, leaving not even a speck!

Du Mu rested the Machete on his shoulder, sighing, "Tsk, I have to say, your way of dying is quite environmentally friendly."

The other Vampires' steps abruptly halted!

Their faces were now filled with shock and disbelief.

It was important to know that Vampires were extremely tenacious creatures, and ordinary weapons had no effect on them whatsoever.

Even powerful firearm bullets would cause wounds that healed quickly.

Only when substances like pure silver, which are naturally anathema to Vampires, were involved could irreparable damage be inflicted, but to completely kill them was even more difficult.

Yet, this human in front of them had instantly killed their companion with a single slash, not even giving it a chance to recover.

Was this really a Machete?!
