"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 233: Noble Buff Activated
With everyone's development plans locked in, the castle settled into a rhythm of busy, purposeful days.
Draconis Yi spent his time immersed in lessons and training, and like Rias, the rest of the peerage seemed to vanish into their own routines.
Half a month slipped by in a blur.
Out in a secluded mountain valley, Asia knelt quietly amid a sea of flowers, lost in deep meditation. Sacred energy shimmered around her, so intense it was almost visible—a pure, radiant aura that marked her as something extraordinary.
Hovering in the sky above, Azazel—twelve black wings unfurled—watched with a satisfied smile as Asia's meditation came to an end.
As the bearer of Twilight Healing, Asia's powers were already unmatched, but she had one glaring weakness: she needed physical contact to heal. To fix that, Azazel had put her through a brutal regimen.
No one in the Underworld knew more about Sacred Gears than Azazel. He'd studied every artifact that had ever appeared, not just Twilight Healing. Sirzechs had chosen the perfect instructor.
"Excellent," Azazel called down. "You should be able to heal at range now. Surround yourself with Sacred Gear flames, and you'll be able to treat multiple allies at once."
"Yes! Thank you, sensei!" Asia called back, her voice bright with joy.
Azazel turned next to Akeno.
She hovered in midair, lightning crackling along her shrine maiden robes, her devil wings now fully transformed into fallen angel wings—a sign she'd finally awakened her true bloodline.
"I've got nothing left to teach you," came a quiet, steady voice.
Akeno glanced over, her expression cool and distant.
"Thank you," she replied, her tone icy, almost formal.
The middle-aged man—her father—smiled bitterly. "As your dad, I'm proud to have such an exceptional daughter."
Akeno didn't respond. She simply turned and drifted away, not looking back.
Elsewhere, in another valley, Xenovia and Koneko were deep in their own training. Both had grown immensely stronger over the past two weeks.
Xenovia wielded Durandal with effortless control, while Koneko watched, a little discouraged.
As a Rook, Koneko could only focus on boosting her strength and defense, but sometimes it felt like those abilities weren't enough.
"Just like Akeno, you need to unlock the power sealed inside you," Azazel had told her. "Otherwise, you'll never make real progress."
Koneko sighed, recalling his words. Unlocking hidden power sounded simple—doing it was another story.
Back at the castle, the peerage gathered after their special training, each of them changed.
"These two weeks have been intense," Rias announced, her voice ringing through the hall.
She was finally free from endless tactical manuals and battle footage. As King, she'd spent half a month buried in strategy, learning formations, judgment calls, and the art of decisive leadership.
But tactics weren't the only thing on her mind. The separation from Draconis Yi had gnawed at her—two weeks without seeing him, nights spent longing, dreams that left her sheets damp with desire.
Now, at last, the grind was over.
"You all look stronger," Rias said, her gaze sweeping over her friends. Their magical power had surged, but more than that, their confidence and spirit had transformed.
"Impressive," she praised, smiling.
"Um… where's Draconis Yi? He's not here yet?" Asia craned her neck, eager and impatient.
Of course, seeing everyone again was wonderful—but what everyone really wanted was to see him.
"He should be here soon," Azazel replied, feigning boredom. "Honestly, you girls only have eyes for that boy. I bet you're sick of seeing my face."
"Uh… no, that's not true…" The group mumbled, embarrassed.
Just then, a familiar voice echoed through the hall.
"Sensei, everyone—you're all here."
Heads turned, eyes widened.
"Draconis Yi… what's with the outfit…?"
He stood in the doorway dressed in an immaculate noble suit, radiating an aura that was impossible to ignore. He seemed calmer, more refined—like he'd gained a dazzling new buff that made him stand out from any crowd.
His presence was magnetic.
Draconis Yi caught their stunned looks and grinned. "What's wrong? Don't recognize me?"
"No—it's just… you look amazing…" Rias stepped closer, eyes roaming over him. "This suits you perfectly. You should dress like this all the time!"
"Ara ara, my heart's racing," Akeno giggled.
Draconis Yi shook his head, amused. "Don't get used to it. I'm just trying this on for show. The maids picked out thirty-eight different formal outfits for me, and this is the one they settled on. Day to day, I'm sticking with my casual clothes."
Rias fell silent, sighing softly. "…Learning noble etiquette must've been tough for you."
"Not really. I found it pretty easy," Draconis Yi replied, his smile gentle. Two weeks of etiquette lessons had only made his natural warmth more apparent.
Just then, the devils who'd trained him approached, bowing respectfully to Rias.
"Miss Rias, the Young Master passed all our exams with perfect scores. There's nothing left for us to teach him."
Rias blinked, leaning in to whisper, "You memorized all those stiff protocols?"
"Of course. How else would I get a perfect score?" Draconis Yi answered easily.
Rias hesitated, worried he might turn out stuffy like other nobles. But watching him, she saw no arrogance—just genuine charm and gentlemanly grace.
Her smile returned, relief flooding her chest. No matter what Draconis Yi did, he was always exceptional.
Absolutely irresistible.
