"Maybe if it wasn't for Kairo, I would be dead," Tessa said across from Hinari, her left arm in a cast as she swirled her tea about as Hinari sat there with a blank expression, like she was disinterested. Rook and Selene walked in, and that was Tessa's cue to leave. She got up and mumbled, "You don't have to do this…" Before turning on her heels and walking out. Tessa looked back at Hinari Akabane once more and shut the door behind her.
"This is your official interview. I will lay out the framework for this interview. You have a choice at any time to terminate this interview, and it will be recorded. Do you understand?" Hinari looked lifeless, devoid of emotions. "I understand." Rook continued, "If there are any questions, you feel may be too personal or disrespectful to you, you can skip the question. Do you understand?" Hinari looked lifeless, devoid of emotions. "I understand."
Rook nodded as she took a small glance at Selene, "We will begin." A small camera recorded Selene, Tanya, and Hinari, "The date is October 23rd 1:58 PM. As you know, two days ago, a company in Gravemire transported a demon into the bay and released demons into the bay area. This incident was dubbed as 'The Freightworks Incident,' and on the day of this cargo's arrival, Senior Operative Aria, Minor Operative Kairo, Minor Operative Nova, and Apex Operative Lucan Ronan were present. During the mission, the CEO Zevi Zyran was captured alongside his organisation's subordinates."
"Upon further inspection, the files for the Tidegate Freightworks company had its operation housing under two addresses, Gravemire, where the Warehouse was located and Cinderpoint Valley, Ashlane House C146. This is the home address of Apex Operative Lucan Ronan. Minor Operative Nova was presumed to have gone after him and is still out of commission after being found by Minor Operative Kairo. Apex Operative Lucan is missing in Action."
"Now we will begin the interview. Senior Operative Hinari, what was your relationship with Apex Operative Lucan Ronan?" Hinari looked at Rook with an unnerving stare, "Apex Operative Ronan was my Rookie, nothing more." Rook nodded as she moved onto the next question, "Was there anything more than you being his mentor? We are aware you recruited him. Did you happen to know him before you recruited him?" Hinari just stared and for a second thought about terminating it, but she pushed that thought aside, "No, there was nothing more than me recruiting Apex Operative Ronan. I did not know Apex Operative Ronan before Apex Operative Ronan's initial recruitment."
Rook continued, "We also understand that Lucan has had some intimate interactions with you, including kissing, hugging, and Intimate Language. What does this mean?" Hinari stayed stiff and composed, "I wanted no part in any of it." Rook nodded, "Is there anything that we may want to know?" Hinari spoke coldly as she stared into Rook's eyes, "The night before the Incident, I rejected a relationship with Apex Operative Ronan after Apex Operative Ronan invited me to Apex Operative Ronan's Apartment. Apex Operative Ronan seemed angered the morning of the Freightworks Incident."
"That will conclude our interview for now. If there is anything else, do not hesitate to come by my office." The Camera stopped recording. "You don't have to do this." Selene said with a certain distraught tone of voice, "I must." Hinari said, and then Rook added on, "You do understand, alongside the Crimes Against Humanity, Attempted Genocide, Assault, Battery, Destruction of government property, Interference with official operations, Treason, Conspiracy, Terrorism, Reckless use of supernatural powers, Collusion with hostile entities and Endangering Civilians you will be adding Sexual Harassment, Coercion and Abuse of Government Power. You also will be painting him as an Abusive, Manipulator, knowing damn well, you wanted every bit of it."
"I wanted no part of it."
