Chapter 88 - The Mission (2)
This was the first time Jonathan faced ordinary humans, but the sentence was simple.
Before the sight of God, under human judgment, these people protected a monster that experimented on children. He killed countless people to silence what they had done and so far they showed no remorse for their actions.
Jonathan had to end the evil—that had been his intent from the moment he stopped caring about his own safety. No matter what, as long as it served a greater good, he would kill whoever it was.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Jonathan covered his head with his right hand as bullets struck his body; no one knew his capabilities, so they thought that would be enough. However, as soon as the intensity of the gunfire decreased he moved.
"Don't be idiots, aim for the head."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Amid screams and explosions Jonathan appeared beside two armed men, swung his machete and cut their legs.
"Argh!!!"
Crack!
The look of horror on those people's faces grew as Jonathan began to slaughter everyone with a smile full of excitement on his face.
The combat frenzy ability turned him into a true predator when someone seriously injured him.
His movements grew faster, more precise, and his lethality increased with each strike.
Taking the pistol from one man, he began shooting the others, finishing off the rest. His expression showed nothing but calm—killing had never been a problem for him because, as a doctor, he decided who lived and who died.

"We have to get out of here, fast." Mike grabbed Eleven to leave the place, but at that moment the walls behind them closed, cutting off their escape.
Crack!
"Aaahhhh!!!"
In less than two minutes everyone was dead except Doctor Martin Brenner, who only retreated. "It's an enhanced version of Eleven…"
"Mr. Martin, you will die." Jonathan was not following anyone's orders, but following the course of events under his gaze, the villain here was this man.
Martin forced a smile and said, "Everyone behind me will come after you if you do this."

"Yeah, who the hell are you?"
"I heard you—you were talking to the boy named Will…" Jonathan leaned in slightly, but at that moment his senses shifted and when he turned another humanoid creature bit him in the neck.
Seeing this, Mike shouted, "Run."
Mike's friends ran away; the one most interested in Jonathan was Eleven, who wanted to talk to him. But knowing they had to leave, they fled in haste.
Jonathan, on the other hand, had eliminated another creature that had come from who-knows-where just to kill him.
Crack!
This time he used his telekinesis to crush the monster against the ceiling, then rose while holding the wound on his neck and thought, There's no doubt some monster mother controls these horrid things; what I must do now is call those people.
Now was the time to call The Order to take care of the more trivial matters.
"Save the children—well done." Jonathan murmured as he watched that all the kids, despite how events had unfolded, came out unscathed.
