Chapter 134 - Chapter 134 The story of the spare tires!

Hal and Tom's fathers were both pilots for Ferris Air, and thanks to their fathers' friendship, they had known Carol Ferris since they were children.

Every boy has his goddess when he's young, and they were no exception. In their hearts, Carol was the most perfect goddess.

Later, due to changes in their fathers' work, the three had to separate, their contact diminished, and their feelings gradually faded. It wasn't until these past two years that Tom followed in his father's footsteps and once again became a Ferris Air pilot, and Hal, after retiring from the military due to his mother's situation, was recruited by Carol as a mechanic. That's when the three reunited.

However, with the passage of time, many things had changed. Carol Ferris was still as gentle and beautiful as they remembered, but she had become someone else's girlfriend.

Upon learning this, what could they say? They could only endure the heartache and internal struggle, forcing smiles and offering their blessings.

But what was infuriating was that the lucky bastard was a complete scumbag. Having such a beautiful and perfect girlfriend like Carol still wasn't enough for him; he was actually flirting around with other women.

How could they tolerate such a thing?

The two put their heads together and decided to teach that scumbag a lesson, to vent their anger and Carol's. After some investigation, they learned that the scumbag was likely the legendary Young Master Xiao. Immediately, they wilted like frost-bitten eggplants—they were just ordinary people, they couldn't even afford to offend the police, let alone the gang boss of Coast City.

Depressed, the two brothers in distress could only run to a bar, drinking and cursing Luke to hell with all sorts of dirty, vulgar, and unbearable words.

Unfortunately, the Lord of Hell did not hear their prayers. That philandering scumbag continued to live a carefree life, even transforming himself from a notorious gang boss into the founder of an internet company.

Damn Luke Xiao, damn ShowMe! Don't expect to have our accounts. We'd rather die than become ShowMe users!

After several months of this frustration, things took a turn. Carol seemed to have given up on her "scumbag boyfriend" and actually called them, hoping they would step in and teach that bastard a painful lesson.

The two were overjoyed and, without hesitation, agreed.

Under Carol's arrangement, the two snaked through the ventilation ducts into the warehouse. Just as they were about to act, a sobered-up Tom got cold feet.

"Hal, maybe we should reconsider."

"Reconsider what?"

Tom swallowed, and whispered, "That scumbag is known for holding grudges. If he finds out we did this to him, he'll kill us."

"Are you scared?"

Tom snapped, "Aren't you scared?"

"No!"

Hal looked determined. "Coast City is a place of law. Some police colluding with him doesn't mean all police are like that. Even if the police can't do anything, there are superheroes. Sooner or later, someone will stand up and become Coast City's superhero, bringing justice back to this city."

"But..."

Tom hesitated, "I heard he's done a lot of good deeds."

"What you see are all illusions. Which gang boss isn't like that? They use public opinion to portray themselves as philanthropists and good people, but behind the scenes, they're doing disgusting, despicable things.

There are too many people like that."

Hal spoke sternly, and Tom found it hard to argue. Although he had some doubts, seeing his friend so resolute, he could only give up.

The two smashed the foreign liquor in the warehouse and splashed it everywhere, ensuring every corner had alcohol. After doing all this, they turned and climbed back into the ventilation duct. Before leaving, Hal lit a match and dropped it on the ground.

Boom!

The alcohol ignited, and the flames spread rapidly. In just a moment, the entire warehouse was engulfed in fire.

Alarms blared, and sprinklers on the roof sprayed water, but it had little effect. The liquor in the warehouse was high-proof foreign spirits and vodka, which couldn't be extinguished by a few small streams of water.

The flames began to spread outside the warehouse. The alerted waiter quickly informed the manager, who, seeing the dire situation, immediately told Luke.

"Young Master Xiao, what should we do? Or..."

The manager was in a difficult position. Tonight was Young Master Xiao's party, and he couldn't let him not have fun, but a fire was truly terrifying. Once it got out of control, everyone present would be in mortal danger, and if people died, the trouble would be even greater.

This was not something he could handle.

Luke pushed away the woman who was clinging to him and said in a deep voice, "Where is the incident?"

"The underground warehouse."

Luke strode out, with Dio Clay following closely behind him.

When the group arrived at the underground warehouse, several waiters were trying to put out the fire with extinguishers, but the flames were too large. Even with their best efforts, they couldn't stop the spread.

Luke observed for a few moments, then frowned. After a thought, he spoke,

"Tell them to leave."

The manager was stunned, not understanding what that meant. Dio Clay grabbed his collar,

"Didn't you hear what Young Master said? Take your people and get out immediately."

The manager instantly reacted, bewildered, confused, and perplexed, but ultimately said nothing. He quickly led the equally bewildered waiters away.

Dio said coldly,

"Young Master, who could it be?"

"We'll know in a moment."

Luke took off his jacket and tossed it to Dio, then calmly walked into the raging warehouse. As the flames engulfed him, his clothes subtly transformed. His shirt and pants disappeared, replaced by a uniquely styled black battle suit.

Ghost No. 2, a shapeshifting battle suit, was a portable suit Luke had modified from a Kryptonian combat suit. Compared to Ghost No. 1, its abilities were weakened across the board, but it had the advantages of disguise and portability, making it an essential choice for travel, dating, and entertainment.

The moment he saw the black battle suit, Dio's mouth hung slightly open, his eyes flashing with intense shock.

Young Master truly lived up to his name; he always brought surprises—no, terrors!

Luke, clad in the black battle suit, disappeared into the flames. Soon, an invisible shockwave rippled through the warehouse. The air was stripped away, losing its oxygen supply, and the flames immediately died down.

Luke pushed open the door, took the jacket Dio handed him, draped it over his shoulders, and turned to walk out.

As he passed the manager, he patted his shoulder,

"This kind of thing is only allowed once."

The manager nodded repeatedly, "Don't worry, Young Master Xiao. If there's a next time, I'll throw myself into the Pacific to feed the fish."

After saying that, he quickly led his subordinates into the warehouse. When they saw the room emitting black smoke, they paused for a few seconds, then kicked a similarly stunned waiter.

"What are you standing around for? Quickly throw water! If even a single spark comes out, you're all fired!"

A fire did not dampen Luke's spirits. He continued to play, drink, and enjoy the wonderful nightlife.

As for the cause of the fire, he didn't say, and Dio didn't ask. The two seemed to have forgotten about it.

Outside the City of Pleasure, Carol, who had waited for a long time and hadn't seen a fire, frowned.

"What's going on? Didn't I tell you to set a fire? Where's the fire?"

A bewildered Hal and Tom exchanged glances, both seeing question marks in each other's eyes. It didn't make sense. So much foreign liquor had been ignited; even if it didn't explode, it should have caused a big fire.

But several minutes had passed, and there was no sign of a fire breaking out.

What the hell was going on?
