Chapter 67- private matter
Blair hurriedly followed the other ladies. Initially, seeing Blaze with Cecilia had left her feeling a little dejected, but hearing Yvonne tease Cecilia sparked a secret delight in her heart.
Cecilia, however, caught a faint trace of malice in Yvonne's tone. This woman clearly held a grudge against Vincent—or so Cecilia thought. She was only half right. In reality, Yvonne came from a "mistress" background, and she loved Vincent with a desperation that bordered on obsession.
Years ago, she had tried every trick to climb her way into Vincent Charlie's life, only to be beaten to it by a young, seemingly insignificant girl. Since then, she had held a grudge.
"And who's this, then? Your boyfriend? Looks far more handsome than Charlie…"
Cecilia lowered her head further, her face pale as paper, feeling as if she had been caught doing something shameful, being scolded with a jab straight at her spine.
