Chapter 43 - The Demon Mountain

A few weeks later, Renly secretly escorted the first payment of reparations and the Mountain back to King's Landing.

Meanwhile, shocking news spread throughout the land: the Queen had returned to Casterly Rock after arguing with the King, and had another big fight with her father, Tywin. Overwhelmed with grief, Cersei pushed the three princes and princesses off the cliffs hundreds of meters off Casterly Rock into the sea, and then jumped in after them.

Fishermen in Lannister Harbor found four people. Because the bodies were swollen and mutilated, Tywin cremated them by the harbor and then stayed in Casterly Rock with his two sons.

Witt accompanied Nymeria and Treyne to the Red Keep dungeon to confirm the Mountain's presence. Renly stood at the dungeon entrance, with his squire Loras Tyrell behind him. The cell inside was already illuminated by Renly's magical light spell.

Nymeria carefully examined the body: "According to intelligence, this size and appearance belong to Gregor Clegane, the Mountain."

Witt: "I've seen him before in Casterly Rock, that's right."

The Mountain sat on the ground, his legs and hands chained to iron rings on the wall, looking utterly dejected and on the verge of death.

Trinity noticed something was wrong with the Mountain. Seeing him slumped on the ground, motionless, she went closer to check on him, fearing he might die on the way to Dorne, and wanted to try a healing spell on him.

The Mountain looked up and saw a soft-haired woman approaching him. Judging from her clothes and her relationship with Victor, she should be a noblewoman. Suddenly, he grabbed at Treyne with both hands.

"Ah!" Teresa cried out in fright, spitting a cloud of blue smoke at the Demon Mountain from her mouth before backing away.

The Mountain saw the smoke and held his breath. His outstretched arm touched the smoke first, and he instantly felt his hands lose strength. The iron chains connecting his hands to the wall did not break.

Seeing this, Nymeria shouted, "How dare you touch my woman!" She stepped forward and kicked the Mountain behind the knee. The Mountain knelt on one knee, drew the short sword from his waist and slashed at his palm. The Mountain's hands were locked together and he had no strength to dodge. Instantly, both of his palms were cut off and fell to the ground.

Witt and Renly stood still, completely unaware of the danger, because even if the Mountain captured Trinity, the two of them had a way to kill the Mountain without harming Trinity.

The Mountain endured the excruciating pain without uttering a sound, and tried to attack Nymeria again, but as soon as he moved, he collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath, his face turning blue.

"You hid the poison in your mouth?" Vittor stood in front of Treni and looked down at her mouth.

"No!"

"Open your mouth and take a look."

"Ah~~~" Treni opened her mouth, and Victor could only see her neat teeth and red lips, but not the poison.

Lan Li, watching from the side, tensed up. [This woman, whose entire body is riddled with deadly poison, can only be controlled by my brother.]

Loras Tyrell was also feeling unwell. While others might not care about severed limbs and blood, the fact that his entire body was covered in poison gave him goosebumps.

Nymeria walked over: "Let's go, he won't die from this poison. Tomorrow I'll write to Prince Doran and ask him to send someone to escort the Mountain back to Dorne for trial."

"Have Prince Doran send a ship to Storm's End. Take the Mountain there first; it'll save time." The group left the dungeon. Renly had arranged the Mountain's itinerary, and no one paid any attention to the Mountain, who was still convulsing in the dungeon.

To prevent the Mountain from revealing the shameful fact that he was sold by Tywin, his tongue had already been cut off by Tywin. Renly was still thinking about how to prevent the Mountain from writing, but Nymeria cut off his hands and poisoned him until he was paralyzed. Now things are much easier.

Nymeria and Treyne returned to the magic school to write a letter to Prince Dorne.

Witt and Renly were still in the Red Keep dungeon, talking as they stood where the giant dragon skull was kept.

One person casts a magic light spell, while the other casts a silencing spell; the two work together seamlessly.

"Did Tywin really execute all four of them?" Witt asked.

"I was standing right next to them when they cremated the bodies in Lannister Harbor."

"Are you sure it's Cersei and the three children?"

Renly thought for a moment: "His hair was all blonde, and he was the same height as Cersei and her three children. He also looked like one of the four. But when he was pulled out of the sea, he was swollen from being soaked in seawater and had been gnawed by fish, so he could only be roughly identified. Afterwards, Tywin burned the body at the port, and the ashes are now placed in the Casterly Rock family cemetery."

"Did you see the four of them jump into the sea?" Witt asked again.

Renly then realized what was happening: "No, not at all. I and the Lannisters only found out after the fishermen discovered the body. Is there something wrong?"

"There is definitely a problem! Do you think Cersei, with her personality, would commit suicide?" Witte has lived two lives, while Renly is only 16 years old and has grown up in a sheltered environment with too little experience of intrigue and scheming.

"Moreover, most people in the Westerlands are blond, so it would be easy for Tywin to find four people with the same build. If it's true, he would have already wiped out all four of their families, and we would have no way of investigating."

"Then those four didn't die?" Lan Li asked, somewhat alarmed.

Witt comforted him, "At least four of them are nominally dead, and they will have to live under different names from now on. We can't find any evidence now, the bodies have been burned, and we can't find their families, and the Lannisters will never acknowledge them."

Westeros is as large as South America in modern times. If Cersei and her companions possessed magic, it would be manageable; Witt could sense them within a few hundred meters, and there might be a slight chance of finding them. But these four are just ordinary people, undetectable by magic. Finding them would be like searching for a needle in a haystack; even magicians aren't omnipotent.

"Let it be. Don't blame yourself. With Cersei's head, she couldn't possibly raise those children to be successful." Witt and Renly walked out of the dungeon to prepare for their journey and school arrangements.

Wirt's journey began with a voyage from King's Landing north to White Harbor in the North, then along the river to Winterfell, before continuing north to the Wall. After finishing his business, he returned to Dragonstone, then headed south to Dorne, and from the Stepstone Islands eastward to the continent of Essos.

At the port of King's Landing, Davos Seaworth, the Onion Knight, and his sons were busy on a merchant ship. Stannis had assigned him the task of navigating the ship to take Witt all the way to Dorne. Afterward, Witt would hire another ship to go east, and there were also many fur coats, gloves, hats, and other items that Robert had sent that needed to be loaded onto the ship.

The trip involved Witt, his wife Nymeria, and Trinity. Although they were already married, Witt discussed with the couple that they would have children after the trip, and the couple agreed, thinking that it would be troublesome to bring a child on an adventure.

With two swords slung over her back, Ashara Dayne nimbly climbed the ship's mast. At her age, she was full of energy and would be going to the North to see Ed, though she didn't know that Ed was her father.

The group traveled north on a single merchant ship. Stannis, the second brother, was in charge of the royal fleet as the Minister of the Navy. Several warships escorted them throughout the journey, and the sea was uneventful.

When they stopped at the port of Dragonstone for supplies, Stannis's daughter, Shireen Baratheon, gave Witt a plush teddy bear.
