Nevaeh didn't think too much of it.
Cassius had just recovered, and it was normal for his legs to feel weak after standing for too long.
When he mentioned that he wasn't feeling well, she immediately stepped forward to support him and guided him back to his room.
"Just lie down and rest. You'll feel better soon," Nevaeh said softly, letting go of him as she turned to leave.
She still had a lot of research to finish.
But just as she was about to walk away, her arm was suddenly pulled.
Before she could react, she felt herself being yanked backward, her body tipping forward until she landed right against Cassius's chest.
Shocked, she quickly stretched out her hands to steady herself, pressing against him.
Their eyes met, and the rapid heartbeat she felt beneath her palms made her own heart skip wildly.
Her face burned red in an instant.
"What… what are you doing?" Nevaeh stammered, flustered as she tried to avert her gaze.
