Tina stood frozen in place, her mind spinning with a single, terrifying thought, she was doomed.
Just as she was about to open her mouth to explain, someone rushed in from outside, panting heavily and looking alarmed.
The man stopped right in front of her and blurted out, "Ma'am, there's trouble! A group of people just arrived. They're saying the elderly lady you treated last time suddenly fell into a coma today. The hospital has already issued a critical condition notice!"
Tina's lips parted in disbelief, her face draining of color. "That… that's impossible!"
"Ma'am," the man continued urgently, "those people have already broken in. There are too many of them, and the security at the medical base can't hold them back. They'll be here any moment now!"
Tina's body trembled with fear. If she had truly harmed someone, especially a person of high status, those people wouldn't just come for answers.
They'd tear her apart.
