"Shisui, is that really you?"
Fugaku's voice carried both disbelief and tension as he stared at the figure approaching him — Uchiha Shisui.
There was no mistake. The feeling of kinship from their shared Uchiha bloodline, the resonance between their Mangekyō Sharingan — all confirmed that it was truly him.
Two years ago, Shisui's death had been a mystery. He had left behind a suicide note, and with Itachi's silent cover-up, the Uchiha clan had no choice but to accept it.
That incident, however, had only fanned the flames of resentment within the clan.
The radicals believed Shisui — their strongest member — had been murdered by Konoha's top brass, and that his "suicide" was nothing but a lie.
"What's going on here?" Fugaku muttered, his brows furrowed.
"Patriarch," Shisui said calmly, "it's a long story. Let's start with something I want you to see."
He took out a sealing scroll, unrolled it, and activated it.
In an instant, a massive screen appeared before the entire Uchiha clan. Using Earth Style, Shisui raised a mound of stone beneath it so that everyone could see clearly.
He connected a chakra line, and the screen lit up.
Under the pale moonlight, the image on the screen showed a familiar place — the Uchiha clan's front gate.
The crowd gasped, then fell into uneasy silence.
A figure appeared on the screen, wearing Anbu armor and carrying a blade. Fugaku's heart clenched.
He didn't need to see the face — he knew that silhouette anywhere.
It was Uchiha Itachi.
The figure vanished, and moments later, a scream echoed from inside a house. A man fell through the doorway, collapsing lifelessly onto the ground.
An Anbu ninja stepped out behind him, removing a fox mask. Under the moonlight, Itachi's face came into view — cold, calm, yet eerily sorrowful.
Inside the house, corpses lay scattered. A woman slowly slid down the wall, blood pooling beneath her.
"Oh my god! Isn't that… me?!"
A man in the crowd shouted in horror, pulling his wife into his arms and feeling her warmth to make sure she was still alive.
On the screen, Itachi continued his massacre.
Blood sprayed across his face as he cut down one clansman after another.
With each scream, another life was extinguished.
The deeper he went, the more monstrous he looked — a demon bathed in scarlet, the red glow of his Sharingan burning in the darkness.
"Itachi…"
Uchiha Mikoto covered her mouth, tears streaming down her face.
A mother could always see her child's heart — the pain, the hesitation, the despair behind his eyes.
Fugaku shut his eyes, his face heavy with anguish.
When he opened them again, his own Sharingan burned just as red.
"Itachi, what lies at the end of this killing?"
"I showed you the family's future… and this is what you've chosen to show me instead?"
In the video, Itachi's Mangekyō spun. The scene shifted.
A swirling vortex opened near the police building, and a man wearing a mask — patterned like Madara's — stepped out.
Without warning, he slaughtered the guards. The Uchiha police force fell one by one, unable to even react.
The masked man moved through the building like a shadow of death.
Screams echoed, lights flickered, and the silence that followed was suffocating.
"Who is that guy?"
"Even if we fought him ourselves, we'd die instantly!"
The guards in the crowd shuddered, cold sweat running down their backs.
When the masked man finally walked out, the building behind him was silent — every soul within gone.
The screen jumped again — this time to the moment between Fugaku and Itachi.
"This is the future of the village… and the future of our clan," Itachi said quietly.
"Really? Sasuke…"
Fugaku's figure dissipated into smoke — a Shadow Clone.
While the Uchiha clan was still shaken by the horror they had just witnessed, the rest of Konoha remained calm, sleeping peacefully under the same moon.
"Do you see this?" a cold voice said from a rooftop overlooking the Uchiha district.
"This is what the so-called leaders of Konoha are — forcing ninjas to slaughter their own family for the 'sake' of the village, while they stay clean, hiding behind barriers to block out the blood and screams."
Naruto, wearing a white cloak and a dragon-headed mask, watched the massacre below with hard, cold eyes.
Beside him stood Uchiha Shisui, now cloaked in white as well, his mask shaped like a tiger.
Behind them were Yakushi Kabuto, wearing a serpent mask, and Karin, wearing a rabbit one.
All of their masks bore designs of the zodiac — symbols of the Red Sun Society.
Naruto had brought them here not only to witness the tragedy but to make them understand — to see the darkness of the shinobi world firsthand.
Kabuto, a seasoned spy, stood unaffected — his mind unshaken by such sights.
Karin, however, silently watched, pain flickering in her eyes.
As she looked at Itachi on the screen, her heart ached with empathy.
To murder one's own parents… it was an unbearable sin.
"Damn it… damn it all! How could Konoha do this to the Uchiha?!"
Shisui's voice trembled with fury, his body shaking as the fire of anger consumed him.
