From MailBirdramon's back, I watch the clusterfrick below with Gatomon and BlackGatomon. The Hulk's a green wrecking ball of rage, but the Abomination… that dude's just enjoying this. Greymon and Garurumon try to coordinate, but they're tripping over each other. The Hulk doesn't seem to get the whole teamwork thing. Abomination's using their confusion as a weapon, landing cheap shots.

"They need help," I mutter, watching Garurumon get swatted aside like a fly.

"Obviously, genius," BlackGatomon drawls. "Are you going to sit up here all day, or are you gonna do something?"

I clench my fist. "Alright, let's do this." I tap the Digivice, pulling up the Evolution app. "Spirit Evolution!"

A surge of power courses through me, and armor plates erupt over my skin, blue and yellow metal forming around me. I'm suddenly a whole lot bigger, a whole lot louder. The world shrinks as I transform into Beetlemon, the Human Spirit of Thunder crackling around my armored form.

"Hold tight!" I yell to Gatomon and BlackGatomon.

I leap from MailBirdramon's back, electricity arcing from my horn as I plummet towards the brawl. "Yo, ugly! You got a problem with dinosaurs, try dealing with some thunder!"

I slam into the Abomination, sending him staggering back. The Hulk roars, confused, but I ignore him, focusing on the real threat. "Greymon! Garurumon! Fall back! I got this!"

Gatomon and BlackGatomon drop down beside me, claws extended. "Let's show this brute how it's done!" Gatomon declares.

"Time to play rough!" BlackGatomon adds, crimson eyes glowing with anticipation.

Abomination snarls, yellow eyes narrowing. "More pests? I'll crush you all!" He lunges, bony protrusions glinting in the dim light.

I clap my hands together, electricity crackling between them. "Thunder Fist!" I slam my fist down, aiming for his gut. The Abomination barely manages to block, the force of the blow sending tremors up his arm. He stumbles back, momentarily stunned.

Gatomon and BlackGatomon don't waste the chance. Gatomon strikes with Lightning Paw, while BlackGatomon goes for a low sweep, trying to take out his legs. The Abomination roars, batting them away with contemptuous ease.

The Hulk, seeing an opening, charges forward, fists flying. Abomination intercepts the Hulk's blow and kicks Hulk into a car.

"Mjölnir Thunder!" I shout, summoning a barrage of lightning to strike from the sky. The Abomination roars, the lightning strikes dancing across his hide.

He staggers, giving Gatomon and BlackGatomon another opening. They dart in, a whirlwind of claws and fur, distracting him while I charge up another attack.

"Thor Hammer!" I yell. I leap into the air, electricity building in my fist, and slam down on the Abomination's head. The impact sends him crashing to his knees. He glares up at me, hate burning in his yellow eyes.

"You… you'll pay for that!" he growls, struggling to rise.

"Keep dreaming, pal," I retort, electricity crackling around me. "This is just getting started!"

The fight is intense, and there is no telling who will win.

Then the unexpected happens: The Hulk, in some kind of silent agreement—or maybe just a shared desire to smash—launches himself at the Abomination. No roar, no taunts, just pure, unadulterated Hulk.

He tackles the Abomination before he can fully recover, sending them both sprawling. "Now!" I yell, and everyone piles on.

Greymon unleashes a Nova Blast point-blank, the intense heat searing the air. Garurumon follows up with a Fox Fire, engulfing the Abomination in spectral blue flames. Gatomon and BlackGatomon, moving with lightning-fast agility, dart around him, striking with Lightning Paws and Shadow Claws, targeting his joints and pressure points. I join the fray with Thunder Fists and Thor Hammers.

The Abomination doesn't get a second to breathe. It's a symphony of destruction, a whirlwind of attacks designed to overwhelm him. Every time he tries to retaliate, someone's already hitting him from another angle. The air is thick with smoke, dust, and the smell of ozone and burning flesh.

"This is it," I think, a surge of triumph washing over me. "We're actually going to win."

The Abomination's roars become more desperate, more animalistic. He thrashes, trying to shake us off, but we hold firm, relentlessly pounding him. His yellow eyes blaze with pure, unadulterated rage.

And then, everything changes.

Just as I'm winding up for another Thor Hammer, the Abomination explodes. Not in a literal sense, but something bursts out of him. A dark aura, thick and oily, gushes from his body, flooding the immediate area. The temperature plummets, and the air crackles with negative energy.

I stagger back, my armored body suddenly feeling heavy. Gatomon and BlackGatomon hiss, their fur standing on end. Even the Hulk pauses, momentarily stunned by the sudden shift in power. Greymon and Garurumon, tough as they are, stiffen, their movements becoming sluggish.

The aura presses down on us, an invisible weight that steals our strength. It's like being submerged in freezing water, every muscle seizing up. What the hell is this?

The Abomination rises, his form now wreathed in shadow. His eyes burn with an even more malevolent light, and his voice, when he speaks, is deeper, distorted, as if two voices are speaking at once.

The Abomination's face is slack, dazed. It is like he is in some kind of trance. These black shadows begin to crawl all over, engulfing him, obscuring his features until he's just a silhouette of muscle and spikes cloaked in pure darkness. It is like a visual representation of a system corruption error, or something.

Then, my Digivice pings.

That sound cuts through the battle, through the oppressive energy blanketing the area. My eyes snap down to the screen. A new Digimon detected. Great, just what we need. But then I see the location… and my blood runs cold.

The arrow on the map points directly at the Abomination. What in the actual hell?
