Chapter 84 - Ch.84

Just as he had predicted, once the drowsy sensation disappeared, he opened his eyes to find himself in an unbounded white world. The distant sky and ground merged into one, making it difficult to distinguish between up and down.

At the same time, Luo Guang felt a soft surface cushioning the back of his head. He slightly turned to see a flawless face enter his view. Long golden hair framed a countenance that was both childish and seductive enough to drive any man mad. She was dressed in a pure white ancient Greek dress.

"You're awake? It seems your consciousness is even more energetic and wicked than the previous few."

"Mm." Luo Guang nodded, then immediately got up without lingering.

Pandora sighed. "You could have slept a little longer." She added, "Besides, you're truly a beautiful child. Even compared to the Gods with their divine looks, you're not inferior at all."

Luo Guang was noncommittal. He was trying to sense the Boundary (Yomotsu Hirasaka). But he quickly gave up. Appearing here as a pure spiritual entity meant he wouldn't be affected, but the physical body was another matter. He would have to come back to the Boundary to slay the God Susanoo from Japan in the future.

Seeing that Luo Guang ignored her, Pandora sighed. "As you can see, I am the foster mother of all God Slayers, the Goddess Pandora who spreads calamity in the myths."

"I have a few questions for you."

"Go ahead," Luo Guang nodded. Being here meant he had been recognized by Pandora, so he didn't mind answering a few non-private questions.

"You are not from this world, are you?"

Well, she cut straight to the chase. However, this was something Pandora couldn't really be kept in the dark about. As a goddess who observes humanity, she knew exactly what humans should be like. Even someone like Lu Hao, who prided herself as the peerless martial arts master, would never have been able to slay a God using only her martial arts and sorcery. In fact, her proud sorcery and martial arts were merely amateur tricks in the eyes of a true God. The successful act of God-slaying was the result of multiple coincidental factors combining. This was the case for all God Slayers except Luo Guang.

But Luo Guang had achieved the miracle of God-slaying without the influence of multiple coincidences. Pandora was surprised and immediately concluded that Luo Guang was not a human from this world.

Luo Guang nodded in acknowledgment.

"It's just as I suspected. You must be from a parallel world, then? No wonder you're different from the humans of this world," Pandora mused. "But a human like you is probably rare even in a parallel world."

"You don't need to worry, though. Even if you're from a parallel world, as long as you're a human, that's enough to start the ritual for the Usurpation Disc."

At that moment, a sound like a turning millstone came from the void. "Listen, that's the sound of the Usurpation Disc at work. Once you return to reality, you'll become the strongest God-slaying evil beast like the other God Slayers. Hmm... that's not quite accurate," Pandora pondered for a few seconds, resting a finger against her lips, looking utterly adorable. "I know! You are a fated hero!"

"Can I choose my own Authority?" Luo Guang asked.

"No, you can't. The great power of the God cannot be specified. The Usurpation Disc will choose the Authority that best suits you before granting it. Even your foster mother here cannot interfere," Pandora shook her head.

"Then I have no other questions," Luo Guang nodded. He had only asked casually.

"Then, my child, continue to strive in the days to come. Even after becoming a God Slayer, don't think everything will be worry-free."

"Powerful Unrighteous Gods and the hero controlled by the Goddesses of Destiny will be strong enemies on your path."

"Well, even if I tell you all this, you'll forget everything about this place once you leave. But your foster mother still has to say it: you must not die."

Having finished, Pandora leaned close to Luo Guang, and her lips irresistibly pressed against his. A faint blush crept across her childish face.

"Since you won't remember anyway, let your foster mother take a little something for herself. This is an honor only you can receive."

As her words faded, Luo Guang's vision began to blur. Then, he woke up in reality.

Luo Guang felt the residual warmth on his lips, a faint smile on his face.

"Luo Guang, you're back?" asked Aiz, who had been faithfully guarding him.

"Partner, your state was a bit odd just now. Your consciousness was clearly still within your body, but we couldn't easily wake you," Ddraig's voice transmitted.

"I went to see someone," Luo Guang said.

"And besides, Partner, why did you put so much effort into fighting those two Gods? Even if you wanted to sharpen yourself, you didn't have to go all out like that," Ddraig asked, voicing his confusion.

"First, for me, that wasn't 'going all out.' And second, I would never do something that's a difficult and thankless task."

As Luo Guang spoke, he felt a change in his body. An external energy began to flow into him, rapidly transforming his body. Immense power filled his entire being, bringing with it intense pain. His bones felt like they were bursting one by one, his muscles pulsed, and his entire body radiated a faint glow.

After an unknown period, the entire city was once again enveloped in a terrifying, deadly aura. It was cold and piercing, sending shivers down the spine. The sorcerers who had been preparing to head to the scene, believing the storm had subsided, all stopped. Feeling the aura and Juryoku emanating from the central battlefield, they felt chilled to the bone.

They knew what that change meant.

A new God Slayer had been born.

They watched, their bodies trembling, their breathing nearly stopping, their hearts filled with dread!

Liliana had also intended to go to the scene. But when that surging Juryoku appeared, her face went pale: "Is a Demon King appearing again...?"

The swelling aura made everyone hesitate to move forward. None of the surrounding sorcerers dared to approach, but none dared to leave either.

Luo Guang noticed the many glances cast his way, but he kept his eyes closed and paid them no mind, continuing to feel the changes brought about by the God Slayer Transmigration Great Law. Besides the surge in Juryoku, there was a terrifying change in his defensive power. His muscles were tightly contracted, like steel plates, and the bones encased in his flesh were even more durable than the strongest alloy on Earth. His previous training in immortal arts only refined his internal organs, but the transformation into a God Slayer altered his very bone structure. Combining the two, his physical body was nearly on par with the millennia-honed bodies of the Unrighteous Gods.

Furthermore, the greatest change was not in his physical defense, but in his resistance to magical power. Attacks below the God-level could now not harm him in the slightest.
