As Mantblast closed his eyes, many memories came back. It was the first time he started to train, he was still a child, just around 500 years old, and he knew how strong Leobruns was at that time. He wanted to be trained.
"You want to be trained, little child? Hahaha, I like you!" shouted Leobruns after seeing this little krukin asking him to get trained. At that time, Leobruns was the strongest fighter on the Black Planet, he was really loved by everyone, because he always defended the planet with all his strength. Mantblast had a lot of admiration for Leobruns, and after he accepted to train him, he was really happy.
Mantblast could still remember every single training with Leobruns, all the blood dripping from his body, his hands tired and hurting from holding the sword for so much time, but he loved that sensation, because it meant that he could become stronger, so he did not stop.
Mantblast kept training with Leobruns for over 1000 years. During this time he became really strong, almost as strong as Leobruns, who became older and grew weaker. While Mantblast kept thinking that Leobruns was still stronger than him, Leobruns said the opposite, especially because now he was becoming older, he around 6000 years old.
During one of their last training sessions together, Mantblast was wondering if there was something he had yet to learn.
"Well, this is one of the hardest things to do, but fighting with your eyes closed, Mantblast, once you master it, I'm sure you will become the strongest warrior in the universe" said Leobruns with a calm voice. He could feel that he was old and could barely fight anymore, even if all his strength had not yet left him.
Mantblast was surprised to hear Leobruns saying to fight with eyes closed. How was that possible? Mantblast could barely remember what his teacher told him; he only remembered the failure, how everything went extremely badly in that training and he failed completely.
Sadly for him, after that, the Black Planet collided against Earth, so they could not train anymore, and this made Mantblast really mad. But now? After having this fight against Allen, he felt more relaxed, he finally found the fight he was searching for, and now he could try with his eyes closed too!
'I'm ready… everyone, I'll save you.' Mantblast always viewed Leobruns as a hero, he wanted to be like him, save his planet and his brothers and sisters like him. He wasn't going to fail.
As Allen immediately launched a bomb, his body became smaller, but the bomb was extremely fast and really huge. Mantblast, with his eyes closed, was ready to dodge it.
'In the caves it literally reached me in less than a second… here it comesss,' thought him as he immediately turned right. The bomb did not hit him, and it simply hit the bladekruk that created the arena. Tons of them died because of the acid.
Mantblast, understanding that he was alive, smiled amused. Allen was shocked to see that, but in his eyes, it looked really cool. Mantblast then started to rush towards Allen, still with his eyes closed. Allen then created once again another bomb. As the bomb came out from Allen's arm, a small sound came from his body and he became smaller again. Now he was like when he used 2 bombs in the cave, another one would mean the end for him.
The bomb immediately arrived in front of Mantblast, who heard the sound coming from Allen's body, understanding that Allen was now close. 'The bomb should be here!' thought him, as he made a small jump. He was able to jump over the bomb just in time to save himself. The bomb then hit again some bladekruk, who got decimated.
Tauren saw the krukins getting destroyed by the acid, and he understood that Allen was now fighting using his last tactic. He had already heard 2 bombs exploding; Allen could use his last one. 'I'm sure you can do this, Allen…' thought Tauren as he rested. With the help of Jaune, he was able to kill all the krukins next to them. Now his whole body was bleeding, his eyes were black, and he could feel his soul getting destroyed.
As Mantblast heard the second bomb exploding, he understood that it was now over. 'When he used two bombs he could barely move… I guess I won this time!' thought him. But once he opened his eyes, he found Allen basically right in front of him, smiling.
'He doesn't know about the third bomb… let's hope he did not understand that yet,' thought him while he threw the second bomb. But once he saw Mantblast getting closer, he understood that he was able to deal the final hit.
"Bingo," said Allen smirking. You could see that Mantblast was totally scared by his face, and Allen created another bomb. Mantblast immediately used his sword to block that, but the pressure of the bomb was too strong for him.
"Remember, Mantblast, once the pressure of the sword is too strong," said Leobruns, jumping towards him with the sword. Mantblast parried with his blade right in time. "Just yield and flow with it, turning their force against them to create an opening."
As Mantblast remembered these words from his master, he was able to resist the pressure of the bomb, even if just barely, because the bomb fell on the ground… and it hit Mantblast's leg, destroying it.
"ARGHGHH!!" shouted Mantblast because of the pain. His leg was destroyed and tons of blood were dripping from it… but he was alive!
While he looked down, he saw Allen, or at least what remained. His whole body was so small, he could barely speak, and the core was there, right under Mantblast, who planted the sword on the ground to help him balance.
"In the end, I wasn't able to kill you," said Allen with a sad voice, almost breaking in tears, if his body could have allowed him to.
"Don't get sad, warrior, you were able to fight like a true warrior," said Mantblast smiling. As Allen looked up, he could see Mantblast's white cloak moving, and his smile too. That reassured him a bit, at least he was about to die like a true warrior.
"Yeah- in the end, you were just stronger," said Allen after he was able to calm down. The battlefield was a total mess, like 99% of all the bladekruk were dead, just 3 remaining, standing behind their leader.
"Yeah, but you fought well…" said Mantblast, grabbing his sword from the ground. One of the bladekruk helped him stay on his feet. "It makes me sad that I have to kill you, but you killed all my army, I have to get my revenge," said him. Allen nodded.
"At least tell me your name before I kill you, so I can hold this in my mind forever and ever," said Mantblast as the sword was in front of Allen.
"Allen, my name is Allen," said him smiling.
"What a beautiful name for a true warrior," said Mantblast.
Allen now could see around. He saw his friends: Eros, Liro, and Kael, who had just arrived. Their faces were so sad, you could tell that Liro was almost breaking in tears. Kael and Eros were a bit stronger mentally; they just stood there with a horrified look on their faces. Especially Eros, who tried to hold back his tears. Allen, for him, was such a precious friend.
Eros was around 40 when he found Allen on the street alone and decided to help him. Allen at that time was just a child, completely abandoned by his family. Eros could not leave him there. They spent more than 20 years together. Allen really thanked Eros, everything he did helped him a lot. He could say that Eros was the true savior of his life.
Once Allen turned around, he saw Tauren, who was looking directly at him, with his face destroyed. "No… Allen." He fell on his knee, almost breaking in tears. Allen, with his last bit of strength remaining in his body, modified a small part to create a hand, which waved towards Tauren. That was the last thing Allen did before Mantblast destroyed his core. Once he destroyed it, Allen's body became liquid, and with that, Allen's life came to an end.
As Tauren saw Mantblast going away, he screamed so hard and immediately rushed towards him.
"I swear I WILL KILL YOUU!" shouted him. Mantblast turned around. One of the krukblade went there and pushed Tauren on the ground, without any more strength, with their blade.
"Don't kill him," said Mantblast in his native language.
"You can't just go away like this…" said Tauren, breaking in tears. "Allen did not deserve that."
Mantblast simply remained silent and, with the help of the bladekruk, walked away, leaving the humans alone, without one of their friends.
'I'm sorry humans… but you were the first ones who started this war,' thought him as he left the battlefield, without a leg.
Everyone gathered around the place where Allen died. Eros reached Tauren, who was remaining still. "They killed him, Eros," said Tauren, lifting his face to meet Eros, who tried to hold back his tears.
"We can't do anything about this… I'm sure that Allen fought like a true warrior, and he will always be remembered, even by that krukin," said Eros, looking up in the sky. Tauren did the same, and they saw a cloud that looked really similar to Allen. Both of them smiled at the sight of that, with their hearts still shattered.
Now, in another part of the battlefield, Vane, Darian, and Allocen were fighting against Garwhole, who, even if he was extremely little, was not getting tired. In fact, he was simply having fun.
"C'mon humans, is this all you have got? We have fought for so long and you were just able to make me a scratch," said Garwhole, almost laughing.
Vane was on his knee, Darian could barely hold up, and Allocen was just feeling a bit tired, but nothing that mattered.
"No… we will defeat you, Garwhole!" shouted Darian. Vane got up too and got ready to fight once again. Allocen simply smiled, all of them ready to kill that creature!
