As Mantblast swung his sword towards Allen, he was able to dodge at the last moment, still shocked from the fact that he could not send a small part of him away because the ground was full of krukdill.
"Tch," said Allen after reappearing right behind Mantblast, as he modified his arm to make it like a blade and tried to hit Mantblast, but Allen was too slow now, so Mantblast easily saw that coming.
"You're becoming slowerrrr!!" shouted Mantblast as he simply blocked the blade with his shield. He then jumped back, both he and Allocen remaining still.
"I'm having fun… don't stop this!!" yelled him once again as he rushed towards Allen, who chose not to answer. As Mantblast swung the sword once again, Allen made himself liquid and reappeared a few inches away. Mantblast kept trying to hit him, but Allen always did the same thing. There was just the sound of the sword hitting the ground, with small marks left next to it.
'Calm down Allen, think…' thought him as he kept dodging every swing from Mantblast, but Mantblast's movements were becoming faster, and he was becoming slower because he kept thinking of how to reach the outside of the bladekruk's arena.
Then something came to his mind. It was a bit risky, but he had to try this. 'I wonder how far down below these krukdill will be able to reach me,' thought him. At first it might seem like a great idea, the fact of going really under and then reappearing right after surpassing the krukin, but it doesn't work for Allen.
While he divides his body, he has to guide the part by himself, and guiding it requires a lot of concentration, and in that situation it was extremely hard. '… but if this works—' the last time once he was able to reach Tauren, he basically got the free win.
As he saw Mantblast breathing heavily, he immediately made a small part of his body go underground. Now that Mantblast was slowly getting tired, it was the right moment.
"It's just so annoying that you're just running away, I'm getting bored," said Mantblast with an annoyed tone.
Allen did not answer, he simply guided his part through the ground. It was going smoothly until he heard another vibration coming from below, right in front of him. A krukdill appeared. Now he was concentrating on that, so he was able to pass the drill without getting hurt. He then reappeared behind the krukin.
Finding a krukin right in front of him made Allen's main body shake in surprise. Mantblast, understanding that he was going underground to call for help, immediately threw his shield towards Allen, who was surprised to see that and was only able to dodge at the last moment by making his body liquid.
He remained liquid as much as he could to guide his part, but more krukins kept coming. He could barely take care of all that. The slime was getting further and further from his body, he had to rise up!
As the second part tried to rise up from the ground, the main body returned to normal too, and Mantblast was right behind him. 'When did he get here?!' thought Allen, scared, who was able to create a shield just in time to parry the hit, but now he was losing the concentration of the slime underground.
He then heard tons of drills, one coming from below, one on top, one in front of him, and another one behind. Basically, they were coming from every position. Allen could not dodge it in any way!
'It will hurt!' thought him as he got away from Mantblast. Then the krukin collided with each other, killing themselves, but destroying Allen's body part too. Allen could feel the pain, it was really strong, his body started to hurt a lot.
"I told you it would not work… c'mon, don't tell me the fun is already over!" said Mantblast with a moderate tone now. Allen was trying to calm himself. 'Calm down Allen… yeah we lost that tactic but who cares?' Mantblast could see that Allen was struggling. He decided to stop for two reasons: the first one was so that he could breathe a moment, he had been moving non-stop around the battlefield, his feet starting to hurt a bit.
The second reason was because he doesn't like defeating weak opponents, he wants to find them at their max strength. Allen then looked up towards Mantblast, seeing him waiting. 'Why isn't he attacking me…' thought Allen, scared, as he kept watching Mantblast, who noticed his gaze.
"Don't worry, I won't attack you. I told you, I just want to have fun, so I want you to fight at your max power," said Mantblast calmly. Allen could feel that it was actually the truth.
'Yeah… but you know what? Who cares,' thought him as he got in a fight position. Mantblast returned to smile.
"Let's go all out!!" shouted him, as he divided his body into 5 different parts. Mantblast, seeing that, waited for Allen to make his move.
"FINALLY!! It took you long enough!" shouted him.
"I suggest you not be that happy, this will be your last fight!" shouted Allen too. By looking at him, you could tell that he was really having fun now.
Tauren heard the screams coming from the battlefield next to him. Now he was receiving some help from Jaune in killing all the monsters. He then smiled looking at the battlefield.
"He's having fun," was the only thing he was able to say. Then Jaune protected him with some wires.
"Tauren what are you doing!!" shouted him, seeing him distracted. Tauren then returned to reality. He could not only think of Allen, now he had to think for himself and Jaune.
"Sorry!" said him as he slammed his hand towards the wires opened by Jaune. He then hit in the face the bladekruk behind them.
All of Allen's clones now rushed towards Mantblast. He waited for them to walk close enough and then rotated his sword around. A part immediately got destroyed, but the sword was stopped by the one next to the destroyed part, the one with the core. Mantblast glanced around and noticed the other part a few inches away.
He immediately threw the shield up, it would fall right behind him, and he used both his hands to press with the sword. Allen could feel that Mantblast was using all of his strength, and it was exactly what he needed.
Two parts reached Mantblast from behind, but right as they were about to strike his back, the shield fell down and blocked the attack. Mantblast then kicked the shield and it pushed the 2 parts back without destroying them.
The last part remained, the smaller one, attached to Mantblast's leg, and it started to corrode it. He saw that, he could feel the pain of his leg being touched by acid, his whole skin was being destroyed, but he did not care. He just smiled and screamed amused.
"YEAHHH!!" yelled Mantblast as he kept making pressure with the sword. He did not care about the pain in his leg, he just wanted to have fun now. Allen, on the other hand, was having fun too, not as much as Mantblast, it was basically impossible, but it was fun for him too.
'I never had this much fun in a single fight… I LOVE THISSS' thought both of them as they started to swing their blades. As they hit, the sound was extremely strong. Allen was feeling the pain in his body because his blade crashed against another one. Mantblast could see that his blade was slowly getting destroyed, his leg still crying of pain, but he did not care. When would something like this happen again?
Allen called back the parts that were away, except for the one on Mantblast's leg. Mantblast, seeing that Allen's body was becoming bigger, slowly jumped back. The impact on the ground was so hard that the slime fell off his leg. You could see that it was totally destroyed and corroded by Allen's liquid body, it was half open, you could almost see the bone, tons of blood dripping from it.
Mantblast then fell on one knee. "No one was ever able to bring me to my knee." He got his eyes towards Allen, smirking. "That is why it won't stop now!" shouted him once again as he rushed towards Allen, grabbing the shield next to him.
"Oh, it won't stop now!!" shouted Allen as he swung his sword towards Mantblast, who was able to parry it with his shield. He immediately swung his blade towards Allen, who divided his body into 2 parts, one with the shield and the other with the sword. The one with the shield had the core.
Allen was able to block the hit with his shield, while the other part swung his blade towards Mantblast, who, caught by surprise, was hit on his body. He then slammed his shield on the ground on top of the part with the blade, literally slamming it. Allen felt the pain of one of his parts getting crushed alive, but he did not stop and immediately turned liquid and went on top of the shield to corrode it.
Mantblast, understanding what Allen wanted to do, slammed his sword on the shield. "It won't workkk!!" yelled him. Allen had to run away, he then reappeared a few inches away from him.
They were both breathing heavily.
'It's now or never,' thought Allen, slowly raising his hand.
Mantblast tilted his head, and a wide grin split his face. He remembered the cave, he remembered the bubbling death Allen could unleash. His eyes gleamed with amusement.
"Ohhh… you're going to use it, aren't you?" Mantblast's voice rose, almost singing. "Yes, yes, give me that little trick! I've been waiting!"
The scream that followed was so loud that the entire battlefield froze for a moment, everyone turning toward the voice.
"C'MON, I'M READY!" Mantblast roared, slamming his foot into the ground with excitement. "But don't think I'll make it easy for you… I'll dodge every last bubble… with my eyes closed."
Allen glared at him, his body trembling.
"You'll die, but you know all the risks."
Mantblast laughed, loud, mad, thrilled. "Die? Hah! If I die having fun, that's the best death there is! Now, show me!"
Allen hesitated only for a moment. 'It's going to work this time,' he told himself, imagining the moment, imagining victory. 'It has to…'
Mantblast then slowly, dramatically, closed his eyes. He spread his arms wide like he was welcoming the storm itself.
"Go on, slime-boy," he sneered. "Make me dance."
Allen's core pulsed. The battlefield grew tense. His mind flashed back to his failed attempt with Leobruns, back then, he wasn't ready. Now? Now he would prove it.
He steadied himself, every ounce of his body screaming in pain and focus.
'This is it… my only chance.'
And then Allen unleashed it.
