Chapter 91: Ultra Space
The stench, the dust, the haze—the sky here was all gray. Ryan and his companions took only a few breaths before their lungs began to feel uncomfortable and they struggled to breathe.
Ryan quickly pulled out four respirator masks from his bag, and everyone felt better after putting them on.
"The environment here is awful! I didn't expect Guzzlord to come from here," Lillie's muffled voice came from beneath the mask.
Ryan looked at several Guzzlord in the distance and said, "Let's leave quickly. This place is no longer habitable. Staying any longer will put us in danger."
Solgaleo nodded and prepared to lead everyone away.
"Wait. Why does this look so much like Hau'oli City?!" Lillie suddenly shouted.
"Hau'oli City? Hau'oli City on Melemele Island? Lillie, you're not seeing things, are you?" Ryan asked.
"How could I be mistaken! That's a boutique, that's a shopping mall, and that's the Malasada Shop chain." Lillie identified the abandoned buildings one by one. Solgaleo also stepped forward, and they all examined them one by one. Although they couldn't see clearly, the faint glimpses from the broken signs showed that Lillie was absolutely correct.
"A parallel dimension?" Ryan pondered.
The current scene clearly proved that this was Hau'oli City on Melemele Island, but it wasn't Hau'oli City either. Perhaps the only explanation was a parallel dimension.
"Anyway, let's get out of here. There are a few Guzzlord coming over there!" Ruby said grimly.
"Solgaleo, let's go." Ryan no longer hesitated and immediately prepared to use Searing Sunraze Smash to break through the sky again.
Solgaleo immediately rushed out of this Ultra Space. Then, entering the Ultra Wormhole, Solgaleo used its power to shrink the white portal, ensuring that no more Guzzlord could escape.
"Do you want to go back and take a look?" Ryan asked, releasing Pheromosa.
Pheromosa nodded. It still wanted to see its home. While it wasn't a beautiful place, it was where it was born and raised.
Ryan looked at everyone and said, "Let's go to another place. It's a good opportunity for Pheromosa to go back and have a look."
Everyone had taken off their masks. Ruby shrugged and said, "That's fine with me."
"I agree. It's good to see the world," Rosa said.
"Yeah. Let's go and have a look. After just going through Ultra Ruin, I'm interested in other dimensions too," Lillie said.
Ryan then gestured to Solgaleo, who nodded and rushed into a white space not far away. They soon arrived in a vast desert.
This Ultra Space was an open expanse of desert, dotted with stone pillars and numerous caves. Some of the rock formations were covered in sky-blue crystals. Everyone saw numerous Pheromosa poking their heads out of the caves.
Ryan's Pheromosa leaped down from Solgaleo's back. Arriving among the stone pillars, a group of Pheromosa surrounded it, greeting it warmly.
Ryan rubbed his nose and said, "I didn't expect my Pheromosa to be so popular."
Ryan's Pheromosa was communicating with the wild ones, and Ryan frowned as he listened to their conversation.
"Ryan, what are they talking about?" Lillie asked curiously.
"Those Pheromosa want my Pheromosa to stay and take over the position of leader, but my Pheromosa wants them to live in Alola. After all, the environment and conditions here are too harsh," Ryan said.
A short while later, Pheromosa returned, somewhat disappointed. Ryan knew its persuasion had been ineffective. Although some Pheromosa were willing to leave, the fact that they were going to an unfamiliar place made them hesitant. Furthermore, each Pheromosa had connections with the others, so no single one would abandon its entire colony and head for a strange place.
"Don't be disappointed," Ryan patted Pheromosa's bowed head and said, "After all, you're doing this for their own good. They have their own concerns, so there's no need to worry about them."
Pheromosa nodded, and Ryan returned it to its Ultra Ball. He then signaled to Solgaleo that it was time to return.
Solgaleo immediately rushed out of this Ultra Space, heading back the way they had come.
Ryan glanced back at the other colored dimensions in the distance. Ultra Ruin and Ultra Desert had both been confirmed to harbor Ultra Beasts, so were there any other legendary Pokémon in those other dimensions?
It remained unknown, but Ryan would return. With Solgaleo, he could come here whenever he wanted. However, without the strength to challenge legendary Pokémon, he would not return.
Returning to the real world, they were surrounded by the people who greeted them. They looked at Solgaleo with curiosity and petted it.
Professor Kukui, unfazed by the long journey, ran over. He gazed enthusiastically at Solgaleo and said, "I didn't expect you, Ryan, to have caught Solgaleo. How's it going? Any special moves?"
"Alright, alright, let's let them rest for a while." Professor Burnet pulled Professor Kukui away.
Ryan and the others dismounted Solgaleo, and Ryan used a Master Ball to recall the somewhat restless Solgaleo.
"Hey! Ryan, why did you recall Solgaleo?" Lusamine complained slightly.
"You'll have time to observe it later if you want," Ryan said. "This incident with Guzzlord was indeed quite dangerous. If there's another Ultra Beast like that next time, just call me and I'll come and deal with it as soon as possible."
"Ryan, how about you leave Solgaleo here?" Lusamine suggested.
"Don't even think about it. It's my Pokémon!" Ryan said, protecting the Master Ball.
The matter of Guzzlord had come to a temporary end. Ryan and his companions planned to rest in Alola for a day before departing the next day, flying directly to Vermilion City to challenge for Ryan's fourth Gym Badge.
Afterward, Ryan and his companions returned to Melemele Island. They paid a visit to Principal Samson Oak and planned to spend the day at the Pokémon School.
Ryan also asked Lillie if the Egg had hatched. After all, it was Charizard's offspring, so he had to pay attention.
"It's hatched. Charmander, come out," Lillie said, pulling out a Poké Ball and releasing Charmander.
Ryan took a look and saw that Charmander had perfect IVs. This was thanks to the Ability Capsule Charizard had used; otherwise, it would have been a real waste to have a low-potential Charmander.
Furthermore, this Charmander was female, capable of evolving into Charizard. Lillie had trained her well, and she was already level 20.
"And this Togepi is also very well behaved. And just like you said, Ryan, it's a lucky little fellow." Lillie released another little one, the Togepi that Ryan had given her.
Ryan also released his Togepi, and the two Togepi immediately came together, playing and frolicking. Ryan and Lillie sat under the tree and watched the two Togepi play.
Ruby and Rosa saw this scene, turned around and rolled their eyes, gritting their teeth and saying, "Get a room!"
They looked at each other and turned away to find something else that interested them.
