Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: Hard work

"Hmm, agreed."

Dumbledore tactically sipped his cappuccino.

"You are truly… forthright."

"That's one of my strengths. The next problem is that this ender pearl is only useful to me; others cannot use it."

"..."

Dumbledore glanced at Kaisen.

"You're not going to use me for an experiment, are you?"

"Are you suggesting I use Little Wizards for an experiment?"

"...Alright."

Dumbledore finally sighed helplessly.

For the rest of the night, the two of them kept trying to change the teleportation judgment of an ender pearl in various ways, including but not limited to enchantment, an anvil, and curses. Finally, Kaisen, with a try-it-and-see attitude, decided to directly apply a concept from ancient fantasy novels.

The blood-binding ritual… succeeded.

"So, for something this simple, the two of us wasted a whole night in the office," Dumbledore said helplessly.

"What the hell… I don't think that should be coming from you…" Kaisen, chugging recovery potions, said unhappily.

A hint of a smile in Dumbledore's eyes: "Looking at you, perhaps we need to add a lot of sponge mats to some rooms to prevent them from getting hurt."

"I can also miniaturize this device so they teleport directly to their beds, as long as their petrified postures aren't too abstract," Kaisen reminded.

"Then I'll trouble you. Please make a sample first; we need to demonstrate it to the Little Wizards."

"You also need to create elegant and good-looking glasses… As Principal, you don't usually interact with them much. A Little Wizards who cares about their appearance wouldn't wear an ugly pair of glasses that diminish their charm, even if facing the threat of death."

"Then this matter…"

Before Dumbledore could finish, Kaisen quickly interjected, "I'll leave this matter to you. I hope you can use Alchemy to create glasses they like, after all, glasses made with Transfiguration magic can easily conflict with later enchantment magic."

"No, no, I don't know a thing about Alchemy."

"Dumbledore, can you bear to exploit a poor Professor who has dedicated all his efforts to the cause of education?"

"Oh… alright."

Upon receiving Dumbledore's reply, Kaisen quickly used Ender Teleportation to return to his office, stopping by Professor McGonagall's to pick up a student roster.

All students plus Professors… To be honest, making so many teleportation devices was a bit inhumane.

As he was pondering, he saw two mysterious puppets playing around by the desk.

"....!"

In the evening, Kaisen, holding an opaque thermos, ambled into the Great Hall of the Castle. Almost all the Little Wizards were gathered there, and Dumbledore, the only person in the Castle besides Kaisen who could be considered specialized in Alchemy, was currently making sparks fly from the tools on his Alchemy table.

After quickly finishing a pair of glasses, he swiftly said, "Next!"

Kaisen leisurely stood behind Dumbledore, enjoying the sight of Dumbledore, who looked as if he wished he had a third hand, along with Snape.

"This scene is quite something, isn't it? As a part of Hogwarts, I'm delighted to see our great Headmaster Dumbledore regain the vigor of youth," Snape commented with a sneer.

"Severus, if you truly have nothing to do, could you please refrain from making sarcastic remarks? This place is packed with Little Wizards, even House-elves can't squeeze in. If you could, please get me something to drink," Dumbledore said while operating the Alchemy table.

"Oh… I will." Snape looked at the thermos in Kaisen's hand.

"Do you despise him?"

"Uh… not at all." Kaisen subconsciously wanted to refuse, but quickly thought of something fun and naturally handed the thermos to Snape.

Snape then handed it to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore unscrewed the lid, took a sip, and then fell silent. After a long moment, he snapped his fingers, and the liquid in the thermos instantly ignited with a pale blue flame.

"....."

He looked back and, sure enough.

"You're here?"

"No, you might not believe it, but I just happen to look like Professor Kaisen. I'm his younger brother, and I know nothing about Alchemy."

"....."

"Alright, I'll demonstrate to the Little Wizards how to use that teleportation machine." With that, a pair of glasses was almost instantly conjured by Kaisen, who then enchanted them with magic and stood on the elevated platform.

"Students, did Headmaster Dumbledore tell you why you are here? A Basilisk lurks in the shadows of Hogwarts Castle, and these glasses are an important item that will allow you to survive if you encounter the Basilisk. There's also this little thing that goes with them."

Saying that, he surveyed the Little Wizards below the platform: "Mr. Morgan, please come up and assist me."

Morgan quickly climbed onto the platform: "My pleasure, Professor."

"Come, I need a drop of your blood."

Morgan nodded, and without pulling out his wand, simply rubbed his fingers. A subtle cutting charm created a tiny wound, and after smearing the blood on the ender pearl, he recited the counter-curse, and in the blink of an eye, the wound healed as if new.

"Be afraid, children, each of you will need this step, unless you happen to have a nosebleed today." Kaisen placed the ender pearl, now bound to Morgan, into bubbling water, then took out the glasses he had conjured earlier and handed them to Snape.

"Please make a duplicate."

Soon, a primary pair of glasses and a duplicate pair appeared in Kaisen's hand. He placed the duplicate glasses into the teleportation machine's box.

"These glasses are enchanted with complex magic. This magic will absorb the Basilisk's deadly gaze, reducing the instant death magic to a reversible petrification effect. Here, please give a round of applause for the Weasley Twins; one of the spells was invented by them, though it was for their nocturnal escapades."

"And the other spell causes it to shatter after absorbing Dark Arts, and at the same time, the duplicate glasses in the box shatter, so the machine will know you've encountered danger and will shatter the ender pearl bound to you."

"You, having been petrified, will then be teleported back by the shattered ender pearl. Do you all understand?"

The Little Wizards below the platform nodded in unison.

"Very good, let's try it."

Kaisen casually placed Morgan's machine in a corner, then directly hit the glasses with Dark Arts.

"Ugh!"

"Very good… It might hurt a little, but you should all be petrified by then, so you won't feel it. Now, Little Wizards who have finished making their own glasses, come to me. I will adjust the machines for you and enchant your glasses."

After Kaisen finished speaking, he set up a small table in the Great Hall and began his arduous desk duty.
