Chapter 79 - Chapter 79

[Chapter Size: 1800 Words.]

---------------------------------------

The originally vague memory suddenly became clear, and the incomplete details returned all at once. Harry remembered everything in an instant. This was the strange man he had met on the street earlier. His memory froze at the moment just before he used his magical senses to observe the man.

"Did I really fall because I wanted to use my magical senses to spy on this person?"

"How did this man get here? This is my own spiritual world!"

"Although I'm not like that guy who can go anywhere at will," the dark man seemed to read Harry's thoughts instantly and said with a slight smile, "But if I can't enter the soul world of a lamb I've touched, others will laugh at me. But it's strange, lamb, it seems there's something special in your head. Although I can read your thoughts, I can't see through your memory. That's odd, you shouldn't have such a strong defense."

Harry opened his mouth, panic filling his mind. He had no time to think about the lamb or the soul defense. After a while, Harry, who had recovered a little, spoke reluctantly, but his voice trembled: "What do you want?"

The person in front of Harry, or whatever it was, gave him a very strange feeling. In fact, it hadn't done anything up until now, but Harry still couldn't suppress his fear.

"What do I want?" The man laughed and swung his legs. He shook his head and said, "Nothing. What do you think I'd do with a little lamb like you? What could a little lamb like you possibly mean to me? You're just a small being in a small world."

"But, lamb, I'm a little curious." The dark man's eyes fell on the dark red monster under the table in the corner of the room. "Why did you place another person's soul fragment in your spiritual world? I didn't know humans were so good at playing."

"Another soul fragment?" Harry tried to suppress his fear as much as he could and looked at the dark man.

He had already suspected that the little monster might be related to Voldemort. Now, based on what this strange, terrifying creature had just said, it could be a fragment of Voldemort's soul?

"I... I don't know... The first time I entered the spiritual world, he was here." Although he was afraid, Harry forced himself to speak with some courage.

He hoped that by talking to the terrifying figure in front of him, he might learn more about the dark red monster.

"Ah, then I'll take a look myself." The dark man laughed, stood up, walked over, and crouched beside the table.

The dark red monster under the table wasn't as fierce as when it had faced Harry before. It seemed to sense the terror of the dark man, so it didn't dare face him directly.

The dark man crouched under the table, and his hand passed underneath without any obstruction. The golden light that was supposed to separate the inside from the outside had no effect. In fact, when the dark man placed his hand, the golden light didn't appear.

The dark man poked the dark red monster with his finger, but it turned its head inward, curled up in the corner, and trembled violently. It didn't respond at all to the dark man's actions.

But the dark man seemed to understand. He withdrew his hand, turned his head to look at Harry, and said, amazed: "Interesting, interesting, really interesting. He's actually a fool who covets the power. Unfortunately, he's going in the wrong direction. Haha, this is too interesting."

Saying this, he pulled out a chair and sat on it. He also placed his feet under the table and kicked the little monster now and then. At the same time, he smiled at Harry and said, "You humans really know how to have fun!"

It wasn't the first time the dark man had used such words, but Harry hadn't noticed until now.

"You humans?"

Even wizards considered themselves part of the human race, though some wizards believed that Muggles (non-magical people) were inferior beings, hence the term "Muggle." Although most wizards today didn't use the term "Muggle" in a derogatory sense, it was originally a derogatory term.

But even wizards who considered themselves superior still saw themselves as part of the human race. But this...

"Don't fantasize about understanding my existence. That's something you might never understand, not now, not in the future, and maybe never," the dark man clearly read Harry's thoughts again and laughed. "Lamb, you can't understand the existence of a god."

Harry opened his mouth, unsure of what to do.

He wanted to ask what the monster was, but he didn't know if he should. This person in front of him who claimed to be a god was a little too strange.

"I don't want to tell you, it would make things boring."

"What do you want to do?" Harry couldn't help asking again.

"I already told you, I don't intend to do anything. I just find it interesting." The dark man stood up and looked at Harry with a mocking smile. "When I find it interesting, I'll take a look. When I'm no longer interested, I'll leave. But since you asked, I might as well do something..."

Then the dark man raised his hand.

Even though they were in the spiritual world, Harry's body, which should have been a projection of his soul, floated slowly with the dark man's hand. At the same time, he felt completely unable to move.

"Well, what do you want?" The dark man looked at Harry, who was floating slowly in front of him, with a playful expression, then raised his eyebrows. "Is this it?"

As he spoke, he touched Harry's forehead with one dark finger. Harry tried to dodge, but he couldn't move.

Although they were clearly in the spiritual world, Harry could still clearly feel a finger touching his forehead.

It felt as if a cold finger was truly touching his skin. It felt so real. Then, a sharp pain spread through his entire body.

Harry didn't even have time to scream. He just felt the world spinning around him, and then he was forced out of the soul world. His whole body seemed to fall from a great height, crashing back onto the bed.

However, even though he had left the spiritual world, the pain didn't diminish at all. Harry's whole body trembled on the bed due to the pain, but he couldn't make a sound.

Harry had felt a very similar sensation before.

It was Christmas Eve, and he tried to touch the silver star-shaped objects on the wall in the spiritual world. But this time, it was even stronger than the last time.

He didn't know how much time passed, but the pain suddenly disappeared. Harry's whole body was drenched in sweat, and his body still trembled uncontrollably.

A voice that seemed distant and near came from his ear, and he couldn't tell where it was coming from:

"Strange, very strange. Is it the lineage passed down from ancient times? I never thought my Favorite would be able to pass the blood through so many generations. What an interesting little lamb. Well, think of this as a reward for the compassion of your ancestors, or perhaps luck? Hehe, it doesn't matter. Either way, I'll give you this little thing, the left hand of chaos and disaster, little lamb. Even among the lambs in higher planes, I rarely give this away, hehe... well... you're not really my Favorite... I feel a little disappointed thinking of it this way..."

In the end, the voice grew fainter and finally disappeared completely.

Harry was injured, unable to move, and had no desire to move.

It might have taken a few minutes, or perhaps a few hours, but Harry finally gathered enough strength to get up. But when he looked around, there was no trace of the dark man anymore.

"What a mess."

Harry rubbed his head. In reality, there was no pain in any part of his body, but he still had a headache. And extreme fatigue.

Everything that had just happened was quickly becoming confusing in Harry's memory. To be precise, the image of the dark man had become blurry.

What remained was once again just a vague impression, like a dark shadow.

But other things were relatively clear.

Harry raised his left hand, "The left hand of Chaos and Disaster, what was that?"

There was nothing special about his left hand, so Harry raised his right hand and placed both hands in front of his eyes to compare them. There didn't seem to be anything unusual in the color of the skin, the length of the fingers, or even the fingerprints.

After thinking for a moment, Harry considered using his magical perception, but he hesitated.

After the previous experience, Harry at least remembered the dark man's warning not to look around. Harry wasn't sure if using his magical sense to see if there was something wrong with his hands would count as looking around randomly.

I guess it makes sense that the Sorting Hat placed Harry in Gryffindor.

After struggling for a while, curiosity finally overcame fear.

Harry activated his magical senses, and the world he saw became different. The hands raised in front of him also showed differences.

The surface of his right hand was covered by only a thin layer of white magic with a hint of golden light. Of course, compared to the last time Harry saw it, the magical light was much thicker now, exceeding four and a half centimeters.

But on the left hand, it was completely different. From the middle of his forearm upward, there was still a platinum-colored magical flame, but below that, it was black. It seemed like he was wearing a pair of black silk gloves.

Looking a little closer, it seemed to be woven from countless black threads, but when Harry got even closer and observed carefully, he could barely make out that the black threads were composed of a series of strange, yet mysterious patterns.

Countless symbols formed black silk threads, and these threads formed something like a glove, attached to Harry's left hand and half of his forearm.

Harry didn't recognize those symbols, but he had a vague feeling that they were some kind of writing or magical pattern.

"What is this?" Harry asked expressionlessly, but no one responded.

That strange dark man who claimed to be a god seemed to no longer be here.
