you just wanted to take Schrödinger and end things with me."


Ren glanced down at the cat, who was now glaring at both of us like we'd personally offended his entire bloodline.


"I'm taking this guy for his monthly checkup," Ren said dryly. "The vet's been calling me nonstop since last week."
