Becky POV
The light switched on, and my mom was tied up with FaeFae beside her.
The masked man stood, his shoulder wrapped. I remembered I had clawed at him.
The other guards stood beside him. This was a trap, and I'd walked into it.
If I knew it was a trap, I would have still walked in.
My eyes widened in fury seeing my mom's pale skin, and my blood boiled.
"You knew she was shot," I spat angrily.
He stepped closer, gun pointed at her.
"I knew," he said, half mocking, "I kept her alive so you can have a reason to come back."
"You are worse than all the werewolves who have been hunting me," I growled.
"I never said I was good," he snapped back. "You broke the contract."
"Because I refused to be your experiment?" I asked, clenching my fist tight until blood slicked my palm.
"I gave you protection just for this one thing," he said.
FaeFae lips bled at that moment; my vision turned red.
My third eye opens.
"My Alpha, what do you want to do?" I heard the voice of my wolf.
