Near the Osborn Building.
The Green Goblin's offer for Batman and Spider-Man to join his side was flatly rejected by both, immediately unleashing a surge of killing intent.
However, this was also within the Green Goblin's expectations.
"What a pity..."
The Green Goblin let out a strange laugh, and secretly behind his back, he prepared a knife for a long time. With a sneak attack, he suddenly threw it out.
The Demon Dagger moved with incredible speed, spinning as it flew towards Anton and Spider-Man.
Clang!
The Demon Dagger was intercepted by Anton, who was prepared, using a Batarang.
The Demon Dagger and Batarang collided mid-air, exploding in a terrifying flash of light. The resulting shockwave rolled outwards, dispersing the smoke from the burnt-out cars nearby.
Spider-Man seized the opportunity, shooting out a web to ensnare Green Goblin.
But Green Goblin was quicker, dodging the web and moving to his Flying Skateboard, which had been damaged by the Grappling Gun.
He stomped on it, seemingly triggering a pre-set program. The Flying Skateboard sprang back to life.
This was an emergency measure Green Goblin had prepared beforehand.
As long as the main structure and internal components weren't critically damaged, the Flying Skateboard could still activate its backup power system and retain most of its original functions.
Green Goblin, now riding his Flying Skateboard, prepared to take the battle to the skies.
He hadn't anticipated that Anton would guess his intentions from the very first move.
The Grappling Gun fired again, forcing Green Goblin to dodge.
Then, using the retraction of the Grappling Gun's rope, Anton rapidly closed in on Green Goblin.
A flying kick!
Bang!
The armor on Green Goblin's chest slightly caved in, sending him flying backward off the Flying Skateboard.
Anton, however, pressed his hands onto the Flying Skateboard, denying Green Goblin any chance to react. The power system inside the Arkham Knight Armor operated at full capacity, unleashing a tremendous force, and ripped off the energy shield beneath the Flying Skateboard. Then, with another punch, he smashed the Flying Skateboard's interior to smithereens.
Now, the Flying Skateboard was completely destroyed, and Green Goblin's plan to gain an advantage through aerial combat was instantly crushed.
"Batman, I'll miss you!"
However, Green Goblin, whose important equipment had been destroyed, didn't show any sign of despair. Instead, he sneered, raised his hand slightly, and his eyes were filled with cold ruthlessness.
Anton sensed something and quickly retreated.
Boom!
The Flying Skateboard was detonated by the Green Goblin, turning into a ball of fire and triggering all the weapon systems it was equipped with.
Steel fragments flew everywhere, along with the shockwave, instantly engulfing Anton, who had just retreated not far away.
Crack, crack, crack! The ground caved in half an inch under the immense impact.
The few vehicles on both sides of the street were all destroyed in the explosion, their glass shattering completely and instantly catching fire.
The smell of gasoline permeated the entire street.
This street, directly in front of the Osborn Building, had become a real battlefield.
"Batman!!"
Seeing this, Spider-Man's eyes widened with fury. Ignoring the danger and the possibility of another explosion, he rushed into the flames, desperate to save Batman.
"This is the price, Batman!"
Green Goblin stood to the side of the street, completely enveloped by the massive shadow cast by the Osborn Building under the pale moonlight.
The explosion of the Flying Skateboard created a raging inferno, casting a red glow on one side of his body, giving him a villainous aura.
He didn't stop Spider-Man as the hero charged into the flames.
Because Green Goblin believed that Batman couldn't have survived the explosion unscathed.
His eyes were cold as he watched the raging fire gradually consumed by thick smoke. His face under the helmet was ecstatic, filled with triumph and excitement.
He had defeated the superhero who was known throughout America!
He firmly believed that even if Batman hadn't died, he must have lost most of his fighting ability!
In any case, Green Goblin thought the next thing Batman would face was a torture session directed by him personally.
However, two figures emerged from the flames and smoke.
One tall, one short.
The tall one was naturally Batman, and the short one was Spider-Man.
At this point, Anton's armor had suffered significant damage. Due to the close proximity, steel fragments from the Flying Skateboard's explosion had directly shot towards him, embedding themselves in his armor. Coupled with the flames and the massive shockwave, his current condition wasn't good. In fact, he was far weaker than at his peak.
If it weren't for the protective strength of the Arkham Knight Armor, which was indeed much stronger than the simple sheet metal structure of the rabbit armor, Anton would have already collapsed on the spot.
Even so, he had still suffered some damage in this impact.
Of course, it certainly wasn't as serious as Green Goblin imagined.
But the Green Goblin wasn't wrong.
The armor's damage rate was as high as 67%, and Anton had lost most of his combat effectiveness.
The Green Goblin laughed heartily.
Although he was the owner of Osborn Corporation, he was also a highly educated scientist with a deep understanding of professional knowledge.
"Batman, even if you're okay now, what can you possibly use to fight me?"
The Green Goblin could see Batman's predicament at a glance.
The armor on his body was extensively damaged, and his combat effectiveness had been cut in half, far from his peak condition.
Even with Spider-Man by his side, the two of them working together would find it difficult to subdue him!
Moreover, the battle had fueled the Green Goblin's arrogance. He was now brimming with confidence, and even without his highly mobile Flying Skateboard, he had enough equipment and abilities to take down Batman and Spider-Man.
"Green Goblin, you…"
Spider-Man was about to speak when Anton raised his hand slightly.
Anton's exposed chin revealed a mysterious smile, appearing utterly unconcerned, as if victory was already his.
He said, "Green Goblin, do you really think I'm at your mercy right now?"
"Let me see what else you can do to resist me!"
Green Goblin put himself in Batman's shoes, and couldn't imagine how Batman could turn the situation around.
But the next second, his eyes widened, he was stunned, and his face was full of disbelief.
He saw Batman smile slightly, and then ruffle Spider-Man's head.
"Kid, I'll teach you a trick."
"What?"
"In the future, when you encounter difficulties you can't solve, just snap your right hand and say a wish, maybe anything can come true!"
"?"
Spider-Man looked bewildered. He was originally dejected, thinking that the Green Goblin was telling the truth, but he didn't expect to hear such a thing from Batman.
Then, under the gazes of Spider-Man and the Green Goblin, Anton snapped his fingers.
"Snap!"
It was as if a faint, ethereal snapping sound appeared in the air.
[Repair Arkham Knight Armor, 4 million Fan Points will be deducted (40% of the original value of the armor, Arkham Knight Armor value 10 million), confirm?]
[Yes]
With a snap of the fingers, and under the shocked gazes of Spider-Man and Green Goblin, the armor on Anton seemed to experience reverse time. The damaged areas rapidly repaired themselves, until it was as good as new.
This transformation only took a few seconds.
"Impossible!"
Green Goblin screamed, unable to fathom how such a bizarre thing could happen to Batman.
Spider-Man's expression, hidden behind his mask, was rather strange.
He remembered that Batman had pulled a similar stunt when he was fighting Kingpin one-on-one.
Honestly, if this scene was real, it couldn't be explained by magic; it could only be described as sorcery.
"Deliberately feigning battle damage, then reverting to your original form when the enemy thinks they've won, and coming out unscathed..."
Is this Batman's idea of a joke?
Spider-Man looked at Batman, then at the nearly-broken Green Goblin, and wanted to burst into laughter, just like the Green Goblin had a minute ago.
Beside him, Anton looked at the Green Goblin with a mocking smile.
"Ready to get beat up?"
