Oh, so those women's comments at the mall must've made him think about this. Or maybe it was because I once joked that the bracelet he gave me was a replacement for a wedding ring?
Did that mean I accidentally made him worry about something so silly?!
Don't get me wrong, I loved the ring. It was the most beautiful thing anyone had ever given me, but I never wanted him to feel pressured to do anything because of me.
"You don't have to care about what people think," I said softly, lowering my gaze. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like you had to give me a wedding ring."
Lando quickly shook his head. "No! It's not like that!" he said firmly. "Sure, I didn't want people to judge us for not having wedding rings, but honestly… I've been planning to give you this for a while. It just happened to be finished yesterday."
