The moment the golden light entered Nick Fury's body, faint cracking sounds could be heard from his bones.

Listening to Meng Ran's teasing, Fury didn't argue. He just shook his head with a smile and corrected her: "After today, S.H.I.E.L.D. will be history. Going from a high-ranking government official to an unemployed wanderer is already bad enough—no need to mock me."
Meng Ran chuckled and let it go. She was busy scanning Pierce's memories and would deal with other matters later.
Seeing her focus, Fury didn't bother him further. Instead, he walked over to check on the unconscious Natasha.
"Romanoff! Wake up!"
"Natasha! Are you alright?"
Thanks to the nourishment of Odin's power, Natasha wasn't seriously hurt.
At Fury's call, she slowly opened her large, beautiful eyes and gradually regained consciousness.

Natasha followed his gaze. Through the large floor-to-ceiling window, she saw Pierce kneeling weakly on the ground.
His body was tightly wrapped by black tendrils, his face bound by countless fine black threads.
Meng Ran's right hand had transformed into a tentacle, entering Pierce's mouth. As it writhed, Pierce's body trembled slightly.
Seeing this, Natasha furrowed her brows. Even as a battle-hardened agent, she felt a wave of unease at the sight.
After several minutes, the black tendrils withdrew from Pierce's mouth, returning to Meng Ran's right hand.
Pierce's mind had been thrown into chaos due to Meng Ran's ruthless memory search.
Once the tentacles fully retracted, Pierce immediately closed his eyes and collapsed unconscious.
"Not bad. He doesn't know the monster headquarters' location, but the yield is still considerable." Meng Ran silently thought after finishing Pierce's memory search.
Although Pierce didn't know the exact location, Meng Ran had learned the full process Hydra used to remove and implant chips.
With this knowledge, Meng Ran and Liu Xiu could quickly decode the removal method, allowing them to search the memories of prisoners in the Hexagram Base.
