With a sharp scream, chaos erupted.
The women, still in freshly washed but damp clothes, rushed out of the bathroom one after another.
Saeko Busujima's expression instantly turned sharp.
"What happened?"
Takagi Saya didn't hesitate. She sprinted to the sofa, grabbed a pair of binoculars, and ran straight to the balcony.
Looking toward the direction of the sound, her eyes widened.
"It looks like a little girl! She's surrounded by zombies!"
At her words, Saeko's expression changed dramatically.
Even Su Yi's face darkened slightly.
"Leave this to me," he said quietly. "You girls finish your baths and stay warm. Don't catch a cold. I'll be back soon."
And with that, under their stunned gazes, Su Yi leapt straight off the balcony.
The women gasped and hurried to the railing, terrified he might have hurt himself —but when they looked down, Su Yi's figure had already vanished.
In a traditional Japanese courtyard,a young girl with a pale face crouched in a corner, trembling.
In her arms was a small puppy, whimpering softly as tears streamed endlessly down her cheeks.
But she wasn't afraid of the zombies slowly closing in.What terrified her — what shattered her completely — was the body lying before her.
It was her father.
A knife was deeply embedded in his abdomen, blood still flowing, staining the ground a dark red.
A miserable sight.
"Why did they kill my dad…? Why did they kill my dad…?"
The girl's voice trembled as she whispered over and over, not even noticing the zombies drawing nearer.
Maybe she knew they were coming. But after losing her last family, her heart had turned to ash —her body refused to move.
Only the little dog in her arms barked furiously, but its barking only drew more zombies in.
Until one of the zombies loomed right over her,its rotting stench reaching her face.
The girl finally stirred, lifting her head.
"Raaah—!"
The zombie's guttural roar echoed through the courtyard. The little girl stared blankly at it, her eyes dull and lifeless, watching it draw closer… closer…
"That won't do, you know~"
A gentle voice rang out suddenly.
The next instant, the girl felt herself being scooped into someone's arms.
"Giving up on life like that,"Su Yi's voice whispered by her ear,"is an insult to life itself."
He raised his right hand.
"No-Blade Style — Slash."
At his words, a gleaming arc of sword energy burst forth from his hand.
It shot through the air like lightning—
Shiiiing!
In a blink, the zombie in front of them was split cleanly in two, collapsing to the ground without even a sound.
The girl stared up at Su Yi, eyes wide with disbelief —and then, all at once, began to cry even harder.
She clung to him tightly, her tiny body trembling uncontrollably.
"Daddy… my daddy… wuuuu…"
Her sobs were so raw that even Su Yi felt his chest ache.
He looked at the man lying nearby — the father who had died protecting his child. The man's eyes were wide open, staring blankly at the sky, filled with unwillingness and pain.
There was no time for grief, though.More zombies were shuffling toward them, drawn by the noise.
Without hesitation, Su Yi swung his right hand again and again. Each motion unleashed a cutting wave of sword energy, slicing through the air.
The skill — one he had obtained alongside Asuna and C.C. —was terrifyingly effective against these lifeless monsters.
In just moments, the courtyard fell silent again.Every zombie had been annihilated.
Su Yi gently set the little girl — Shiri Alice — on the ground. She immediately ran to her father's side.
"Papa… are you really gone…?"she whispered, voice trembling.
Su Yi stepped forward, eyes soft with pity.He picked up a clean white shirt that had been hung nearby to dry, then plucked a few wildflowers growing by the fence.
He took a step forward —and the ground cracked open with a deep boom, leaving a small pit in front of them.
"Onii-chan?" Alice asked in a small, confused voice.
Su Yi didn't answer. He carefully placed her father's body in the pit, draped the white shirt over him,and set the wildflowers gently on top.
Then, in a calm, low voice, he said:
"Let your father rest in peace. He died protecting you — he was a good man.So you must live on… and live strong, for his sake."
He pulled the girl into his arms, gently stroking her hair as she cried.
Eventually, her sobs quieted.Exhausted from crying, she fell asleep against his chest, the little puppy still clutched in her arms.
Su Yi carried both of them back to the villa.
After explaining the situation to Saeko and the others,he stepped back out onto the balcony alone.
This time, his gaze turned toward a distant house. His eyes narrowed, and a dangerous glint flashed within them.
Those who knew him would recognize it instantly —Su Yi was angry.
"Since you're the ones who killed Alice's father," he said coldly,"you'll pay with your lives."
He raised his hand toward the ink-black sky.Sword energy gathered around his fingers, swirling with killing intent.Every ounce of his swordsmanship condensed into that one motion.
When he finally drew his hand down—
A blazing torrent of sword energy ripped through the night sky.
Anything in its path — walls, stone, flesh — was torn apart like paper.
When it reached the house in the distance,it didn't slow down in the slightest —instead, it erupted in a violent cyclone of energy and blood.
The entire building disintegrated.
"No-Blade Style — Tornado."
Su Yi murmured the name softly.
Behind him, there was the faint sound of movement from the sliding glass door.
He glanced back briefly and said nothing —Saeko and the others had returned.
Whitebeard, finding the villa too cramped, had chosen to stay next door.
That meant this house was now filled with women —and Su Yi was the only man left inside.
It was… overwhelming, to say the least.
Not to mention, just washing all the bloodstained clothes alonewas enough to make him feel utterly exhausted.
He sighed, gazing out into the dark night.
"What a long night…"
