"Please, Alpha," Lyra begged again, her voice breaking on a sob. "Make it stop."
For a moment, Kade did not move as the bond pulled him. His mind was clouded, and he hesitated, trying to regain control of himself.
As if sensing the momentary hesitation in his stance, Lyra pushed herself up from the bed and launched herself toward him. Her body moved on pure instinct, her mind too clouded by heat to consider the consequences of such an action. She did not remember the hate, only the need, as she collided with his chest, her bare skin sliding against his as her arms wrapped around his neck with desperation.
"I need you, now," she whispered against his throat, her breath hot against his skin. "I need you inside."
