Motoki Yaze watched the exchange, eyes narrowed in disbelief.
Wait. Shuo's supposed to be a regular guy. How the hell did he just command D-class vampires? Has he been hiding his true power all along?
Better keep a closer eye on him.
After school, Shuo made his way straight to the middle school building. Today was the day—he'd help Nagisa tame her familiars for good.
But the moment he stepped inside, he was met by a sea of middle school girls. Even someone as shameless as Shuo felt the heat of their stares.
"Nangong-senpai, sneaking into the middle school? Planning to prey on the innocent, are we?"
A familiar voice cut through the buzz.
Shuo turned, surprised. "Himeragi Yukina? What are you doing here?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you that? This is the middle school, you know," Yukina replied, her tone as cool as ever.
Shuo raised an eyebrow. So the Lion King Organization really couldn't let go—just like in the original story, they'd stuck Yukina right in Nagisa's class.
He smirked. "I'm here for Nagisa. Mind showing me to her classroom? Don't play dumb—you know exactly where she is."
"After all, you're supposed to be monitoring Nagisa for the Lion King Organization, aren't you? Guess my warning didn't stick."
Yukina huffed, but led him on, clearly annoyed.
Soon enough, they found Nagisa. But Shuo wasn't expecting the woman standing beside her—a PE teacher with twin dark-red buns and sharp green eyes: Misaki Sasaki, the infamous "Sage Princess," master of martial arts and senjutsu.
Nagisa waved, hurrying over with Sasaki in tow.
"Shuo, what brings you here?"
"And what's a high schooler doing in my territory?" Sasaki added, clapping Shuo on the shoulder with a grin.
Shuo tried not to wince. Sasaki's reputation as a city legend was well-earned—her personality was as bold as her fists.
"Sasaki-sensei, I need to speak to Nagisa privately. It's kind of important."
Sasaki raised a brow, muttering, "All secretive, huh? Fine, I'll give you some space—but don't you dare bully Nagisa!"
She shot Shuo a warning look, then strode off.
Once she was gone, Shuo turned to Nagisa, voice dropping to business.
"Nagisa, I'm here to help you master your familiars—the Fourth Primogenitor's beasts. Time to unlock your full power."
Nagisa blinked, caught off guard. Shuo's expression was dead serious—not a trace of his usual teasing.
"They're… proud. Stubborn. How can you help me tame them?" she asked, worry flickering in her eyes.
"Trust me. I've got this—one hundred percent."
He took Nagisa's hand, ready to leave when Yukina interrupted.
"Wait. I can't ignore what you just said, Senpai." Her tone was formal, almost cold.
"This concerns the Fourth Primogenitor. I have to come with you."
Nagisa looked to Shuo for guidance.
He shrugged. "Doesn't matter to me. Tag along if you want."
With a flick of his wrist, Shuo activated a spatial spell. The world blurred—and the three of them vanished.
They reappeared in a rundown, lawless district—a place where violence was routine and no one cared what happened.
Yukina stared, stunned. Spatial magic? She'd have to reevaluate Shuo from the ground up.
Shuo turned to Nagisa. "Let's teach those unruly pets inside you some manners."
He reached out, palm hovering over Nagisa's chest.
The air shifted.
A monstrous pressure exploded outward—so intense, it rocked the entire island. Buildings trembled, the ground threatened to split. For a moment, it felt like the world itself might collapse.
Far away, a gothic-loli in black—Natsuki Minamiya, the "Gap Witch"—felt the shockwave. Her face went pale, pupils shrinking to pinpricks. She whispered, "What… is this power?"
It wasn't just Natsuki. The other three vampire Primogenitors, the Lion King Organization's Three Saints, the Taishi Bureau—every major player felt the same cold dread.
Even the infamous familiars, monsters feared by all, cowered before the red dragon aura pouring from Shuo. Not one dared move.
Under that dragon's might, the familiars sleeping inside Nagisa bent the knee—submitting to her will, docile as kittens.
Shuo withdrew his aura, and the world slowly returned to normal.
But the shockwaves had already spread. Within minutes, every major power was scrambling for answers about the terrifying pressure that had rocked Itogami Island.
Yukina collapsed to the ground, drenched in cold sweat, eyes wide with terror.
That aura—she'd felt like her throat was being crushed, like death itself was staring her down.
So this is Shuo's true strength. No wonder he could help the Fourth Primogenitor with her familiars.
Space rippled. Suddenly, Natsuki Minamiya herself appeared, her gothic dress swirling as she materialized.
She looked around, bewildered.
"What the hell happened? The epicenter of that pressure is right here—yet it's just you three?"
Shuo's eyes lit up. "Well, if it isn't Natsuki-chan! Been a while."
"If you're here to investigate, I'll save you the trouble—it was me."
He said it plainly.
Natsuki didn't buy it for a second. She eyed Nagisa and Yukina, frowning.
"Why's Nagisa with a Lion King Organization agent? And you—quit fooling around."
Shuo sighed. Telling the truth, and still nobody believes him.
Nagisa, now in full control of her familiars, stepped forward.
"Um… Natsuki-sensei, it really was Shuo. He helped me tame my familiars."
Natsuki froze, then nearly shouted, "—What?!"
She turned to Shuo, eyes boring into him. Inside, it felt like a magnitude twelve earthquake.
Could it really be this kid?
But she'd taught him for three years. Shuo had always seemed so… ordinary.
That pressure just now—it was even more terrifying than a Primogenitor's.
"Shuo Nangong! Is what Nagisa said true?!"
