The chief eyes cling to the girl
She doesn't wither. "You You" the girl clenches her fist "ARE HEARTLESS" she shouts, running toward the chief.
"Idiot" he mutters and in a blink of an eye.

Her partner gasps, her hand on her mouth, watching as the girl's head flies into the sky, blood dripping from the chief's hand. "Oh no" she whispers, tears running down her face as she exits the dojo.

Three days later Karu wakes and sees the chief above him. The chief grins.
"I knew he'd wake up early. After all his mana increased exponentially the last time we trained" the chief thinks, looking down at Karu.
Karu lies on the floor, eyes barely open, squinting to see who is in front of him.
"Chi Chi Chief?" Karu stutters weakly, pushing his hands back to rise. The chief sighs.
"Stop grovelling it's pathetic" the chief growls, grabbing Karu by the collar and lifting him up. "You're a Kurogane after all" he growls, clenching his fist.
Karu grunts. The chief chuckles.
"Brace yourself" he mutters swinging his fist at Karu.
Karu closes his eyes. "Just end it" he says.
He waits for the blow but his eyes flare red instantly.
"What the" Karu gasps, opening his hand as red mana streams from it. The chief smirks and lets go of him.
Karu catches his footing and walks toward the dojo, mana radiating from him.
"What did you do?" Karu asks, running after his father as they leave the dojo.
"I healed you with my mana" the chief answers, walking toward the village shops.
Karu follows, looking around as people back away. Their eyes widen, even children cower.
"That's the kid who killed Miss Kurog—" one child starts, but their mother silences him.
"Quiet" she says, dragging the boy into the back of a shop. Karu glances at the shop, hearing slaps and cries.
"He was talking to me?" Karu asks, looking toward his father, who quickens his pace at the sound.
"Of course that stupid boy ran his mouth and now my stupid son is asking questions" the chief thinks.
Karu narrows his eyes. "Answer. Who's Miss Kurogane? My mother? And why did that kid say I killed him"
The chief stops. They are now in a dark alley, the stench making Karu twitch, but he has bigger things to worry about.
A bead of sweat drops from the chief. Karu's eyes widen slightly as red mana flickers from him. The chief breathes heavily.
