"That's what you're worried about?" Ace asked, raising a brow at her.
Phoenix crossed her arms, walking past Willow frowning. Willow, however, remained composed. She had dealt with her fair share of mean girls before.
The moment Eden hopped into the truck, Ace pressed a button on the wall, and the doors sealed shut. Bright lights flickered on, illuminating the interior, their mobile base now fully alive with screens, weapons, and tech humming softly.
"So," Navian began, drawing everyone's attention, "Willow will be in charge of security. She'll handle our systems and make sure we get in and out without problems."
Phoenix let out an incredulous scoff. "But we already have a tech person," she muttered, dropping into the chair beside Navian. "That's Ace."
Willow pressed her lips together, unsure if she should speak. It wasn't like she'd signed up to step on anyone's role and she hadn't realized the team already had a tech expert.
