As the door slid open, Willow stepped into Navian's room, glancing around curiously. The sitting room was empty, silent except for the faint hum of the ventilation system.
"Navian?" she called softly, her eyes flicking toward the closed door that likely led to his bedroom.
Before she could take another step, a hidden door in the corner of the room slid open with a soft hiss. Navian emerged from the concealed doorway, striding straight toward her with that calm confidence that always made her pulse quicken.
She blinked, a little caught off guard. "What... where did you just come from?"
"This mission is serious, Willow," he said sternly. "All of our missions are but we can't afford to screw this up."
"Uh…" Willow swallowed, a nervous smile tugging at her lips. "Okay. So… who are we killing?"
Navian's lips curved into a faint smile. "Come with me."
