My shoulder rose and fell, as I breathed in and out. My face flushed with anger.
"What do you mean by you didn't?" Atlas inquired, eyes narrowed.
"The last time I saw Kaiden was after he sold me to Alpha Jonathan until I was here again. Why would I want to have anything to do with him? Of course, I didn't reject him not because I wanted him back. I didn't have the chances to do so and…" I said through my teeth, too angry to ignore the contempt in his voice.
His gaze locked on me. I saw the disbelief etched across his feature. It was telling. I hated that he didn't trust me even at this point to say the truth to him. I mean, why should I lie about things like that? It made no fucking sense.
And how quick he was to switch every damned things turning it on me. I hated it.
"Kaiden sold you off to Jonathan?" Atlas snarled, his eyes suddenly flashed.
I swallowed. "Well, selling is a better way to put it. He gifted me to him so I could bore him heirs." I answered.
