This is a story of a world where humans and demi-humans coexist in a lovely atmosphere where there is no sense of rage against each other. In this world lives our protagonist, Kim Soo-hyun, a handsome, black-haired human freshman in high school. He has a beauty mark near his left eye and a bright, sunny disposition. He's the youngest child in his small family. His father is a handsome human, one of the top 10 most handsome men in the world and the CEO of a leading men's beauty brand. He is married to a striking, ice-beauty of a wolf mother, who is filled with maternal kindness and warmth. She is the CEO of one of the nation's most prominent press companies. And finally, his oldest sister, a majestic wolf like her mother, is the most popular university student with an outstanding academic performance. Despite being an extraordinary family, they always make time for quality time together.
Cloaked in the morning's mist, our protagonist, Kim Soo-hyun, gets ready for his first day as a high school freshman. After greeting his family, he rides his bicycle to his new school. Seeing new faces gets him excited to make new friends.
He enters his classroom and takes his assigned seat. Two students, one a fox and the other a bunny, come up to him and excitedly say, "Aren't you the one who came in first on the enrollment test?"
Happily, he answers, "Yes, I am."
Then the fox asks mischievously, "You're the hot topic among us first-years. It must be nice to be popular."
Without giving an answer, Soo-hyun laughs good-naturedly. The bell rings, followed by an announcement requesting the first-years to gather in the auditorium for the inaugural ceremony. The three of them, followed by the rest of the first-years, get seated in the auditorium.
The principal addresses the first-years on behalf of all the teachers, "Welcome, all my human and demi-human freshmen, to our Kim Do-hwan Human and Demi-human High School!"
After a bunch of introductions and more, the principal asks the first-year representative to come to the stage. As the principal is about to announce the name, "Kim Soo-hyun," one of the teachers comes onto the stage and whispers something. This not only shocks the principal but everyone else, as the principal re-announces the name of the new first-year representative, shocking everyone
