Chapter 334 - Chapter 334 Your Home Is Gone

Chapter 334 Your Home Is Gone

Uchiha Mikoto did not tell Uchiha Izumi about the resurrection.

Although she believed Izumi wouldn't spread it around, it was better for as few people as possible to know about such a matter.

"Oh, oh, so that's how it is. That's really great!"

Uchiha Izumi smiled and said, "Naruto, congratulations."

Naruto hesitated to speak but held back.

Although he didn't know why Auntie wasn't telling Izumi-neechan the truth, Auntie must have her reasons.

He just felt a little uncomfortable, and Naruto continued washing vegetables, looking somewhat downcast.

Uzumaki Kushina also didn't say much and continued helping Mikoto.

Today's lunch was early. Normally, Uchiha Fugaku's family ate around 5:30 p.m., but because Kushina was there, they started preparing food around 2 p.m. and finished cooking and eating around 4 p.m.

Uchiha Ryoichi leaned over and whispered something into Fugaku's ear.

Uchiha Mikoto, who had just come out of the kitchen holding a ladle, saw this and asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

Uchiha Ryoichi respectfully bowed to the mistress and then retreated.

Fugaku said casually, "It's about Kushina's family. I had Ryoichi investigate it. Their house seems to have been confiscated not long after she and Namikaze Minato died. Do you still remember the seafood market?"

Hearing Fugaku mention the seafood market, Mikoto's heart skipped a beat and she suddenly realized something.

She said speechlessly, "I remember. Don't tell me the seafood market was built on top of Kushina's house?"

Thinking carefully, Kushina's house really had been in that direction.

It had been so many years. If Fugaku hadn't mentioned it, she would truly have forgotten.

After all, she hadn't been to Kushina's house for nearly eight years.

"As the saying goes, time makes people forget everything," and this situation perfectly proved it.

"Yes."

Fugaku nodded, equally speechless.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, that old man, had been too greedy. He hadn't even left Kushina's house for Naruto to live in. He had probably seen that area as prime land and decided it was better to seize it for other uses rather than leave it for Naruto to inherit later.

"So what should we do?" Mikoto asked. "Find a new place for Kushina's family to build a house?"

"I don't know. Ask Kushina what she thinks."

"Alright."

Mikoto quickly returned to the dining table, with Fugaku following behind her.

"Kushina, there's something I need to tell you."

"What is it? Just say it."

Kushina replied.

"Your house is gone."

"Huh?"

For a moment, Kushina didn't understand what Mikoto meant and froze.

Mikoto said helplessly, "Just like it sounds. Your house is gone."

Kushina made an expression like an old man staring blankly on a subway.

After Mikoto explained everything, Kushina was completely dumbfounded.

Was it because she had pulled Sarutobi's beard in the past and he held a grudge?

Not only had he neglected Naruto, allowing the villagers to bully and insult him, but he had even taken her and Minato's house, demolished it, and built something else?

This was outrageous.

No matter what, she and Minato were heroes of Konohagakure, weren't they?

Was it just because Naruto had no parents?

Kushina was truly furious now. She even wanted to chase Hiruzen Sarutobi into the Pure Land and ask him how she had offended him to be treated like this.

"Kushina, that place is already a seafood market," Mikoto said. "It smells strongly of fish. You wouldn't want to live there, right?"

Kushina sighed deeply. "No… this is really ridiculous."

She gritted her teeth. "I really owe him nothing. That old man is truly hateful."

Mikoto coughed lightly. "Kushina, you can stay at our house for now. We have plenty of rooms. There's an empty one right next to ours, directly across from Naruto's room."

"That's the only option."

Kushina nodded.

She wasn't embarrassed at all. The kindness she owed Mikoto's family was immeasurable—raising Naruto, caring for him, and even resurrecting her.

Compared to that, staying at their house was nothing.

Life was still long. She would repay them properly in the future.

"Do you want to go back and take a look?"

Mikoto asked.

Kushina nodded quickly.

Mikoto smiled. "Then let's go out for a walk after dinner and see it. Though there probably won't be much to see—the entire seafood market covers it now."

"It's fine," Kushina said calmly. "I just want to take a look."

She had already accepted it. Since the house was gone, she would just see if any familiar places remained.

"Alright. While we're at it, we can also look for a suitable place to rebuild a house. When Minato is resurrected later, your family can live together again."

Mikoto's words filled Kushina with anticipation.

Mikoto continued, "There's a ninja in the village who can build houses very quickly. You know Wood Release, right?"

"You mean Mokuton, the First Hokage's Kekkei Genkai?"

Kushina asked curiously. "What does that have to do with building houses? Has someone from the Senju Clan awakened Wood Release again?"

"No," Mikoto shook her head. "It was researched by Shimura Danzō and Orochimaru. That ninja isn't from the Senju Clan. His Wood Release is far weaker than the First Hokage's—he can only use low-level Mokuton techniques. He's not great in combat, but he's excellent at building houses. Right, husband?"

"Mhm."

Fugaku nodded lightly and continued eating, clearly not very interested in the topic.

"Once you choose a location, you can have that Wood Release ninja build your house directly. I estimate it'll only take a few days."

Mikoto said with a smile.

Kushina laughed. "That's wonderful!"

Fugaku then remembered something. "Mikoto, Yamato went to that world with Elder Uchiha Setsuna. If we want to build houses, we'll either need to find someone else or wait for Yamato to return."

Kushina immediately caught a key phrase. "'That world'?"

Mikoto looked at Fugaku. "Husband, can I tell her?"

"Yes," Fugaku replied casually. "Kushina isn't an outsider."

Mikoto then explained to Kushina the discovery of another world with human civilization.

Naruto, sitting nearby, eagerly added details.

He told Kushina everything he had seen and heard in that world, including what happened at the restaurant.

"Darn it, Naruto, you should've taught him a lesson!"

Naruto laughed. "He reflected properly afterward."

They chatted while eating, then rested for about ten minutes after dinner.

The entire process took roughly an hour.

"Let's go, Kushina," Mikoto said cheerfully. "Time to head out!"
