Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Golden Door in the Soul Sea

Ye Tian never forgot the last breath he took on Earth.

It wasn't anything grand—he wasn't struck by lightning, he didn't die protecting anyone, nor did he die in some strange accident that novels loved to glorify. His heart simply stopped. Too much instant noodles, too little exercise, way too much late-night gaming. Pathetic, ordinary, and a little stupid. Yet when he blinked open his eyes again, the world had completely changed.

Instead of the crowded apartment and glowing computer screen, he found himself in the cradle of warm arms. And above him… was not the ceiling fan he remembered, but the shining banner of a clan. Gold embroidery of six-winged angels fluttered in the air.

It took him only a few weeks to realize something terrifying. This world wasn't Earth. This was… Soul Land.

At first he thought he was hallucinating. But when his mother called him Ye Tian, when he heard his elder sister's name—Ye Guyi—in the hall, when he saw the angel motif carved everywhere in their clan estate, he froze. His mind screamed.

The Holy Angel Clan! Ye Guyi, one of the rare Spirit Masters who possessed Angel martial soul in Soul Land II. This meant… he was born directly into Tang Jia San Shao's world.

And not just anywhere. Into the very bloodline of the Qian Clan, descendants of Spirit Hall.

His ordinary life had ended quietly on Earth, but his new life was screaming in his veins.

Childhood passed both quickly and slowly. From an outsider's perspective, he was just Ye Tian, the slightly mischievous boy of the Holy Angel Clan. He ran across courtyards, pulled pranks on the servants, annoyed his older sister until she chased him with wooden sticks. But in his mind, he was always measuring, thinking, planning.

He knew the plot. He remembered the rise of Huo Yuhao, the struggles of Shrek Academy, the downfall and corruption of Spirit Hall in the past… and the tragic weight carried by Qian Renxue.

He remembered crying when he first read Soul Land. And now he was here.

"If this is my second chance…" he often whispered to himself at night, staring at the moon from his window, "then I'll change it. I won't let Spirit Hall rot and collapse. I won't let the Angel God's legacy vanish into dust."

The day he turned six arrived.

For most children, it was the festival of fate. Martial Soul awakening. Some would get strong souls, some would awaken trash. Some would enter history, most would vanish into obscurity.

Ye Tian was no ordinary child, and he knew this day better than anyone else could. In the courtyard of the Holy Angel Clan, elders gathered. A crystal orb shone faintly with spirit energy. His sister Ye Guyi stood proudly nearby, smugly folding her arms.

"I bet he doesn't even get a decent martial soul," she teased, pinching his cheek. "Don't expect to be like me, little brother!"

Ye Tian laughed. Inside his heart, however, his pulse quickened. He knew. He was a descendant of the Qian Clan. The Angel martial soul… it was his destiny.

The awakening ceremony began. An elder pressed a hand against Ye Tian's back, spirit power flowing. The crystal in the elder's other hand lit up with dazzling gold.

A roar flooded into Ye Tian's mind. Not the roar of a beast, but the hymn of light. Behind him, giant golden wings unfolded—six brilliant feathers shining like the noon sun. His entire body glowed. His martial soul had awakened.

Angel Martial Soul.

Whispers erupted among the onlookers. "Six-winged angel! The bloodline really hasn't thinned!"

Another elder placed his hands on the testing orb. "Innate soul power…" he fell silent. The orb didn't just glow, it shone as if swallowing the entire room in gold.

"Innate Full Soul Power!"

Gasps swept through every corner of the clan.

Ye Guyi's jaw hit the ground. She had only awakened with innate soul power of level nine. But her little brother… full innate soul power?!

Ye Tian blinked innocently at everyone, putting on a confused expression. But inside him, his heart was trembling. This was too real! Too overwhelming! His martial soul truly was divine.

And then it happened.

As light flooded through his veins, something stirred deep inside his spiritual sea. A golden ripple expanded in the void of his soul world. Slowly, quietly, a door appeared.

It was tall, impossibly heavy, carved with markings of time. Its surface gleamed with eternal light, strange and sacred.

Words etched themselves in his mind.

Eternal Door – Locked. Will open upon breakthrough.

Ye Tian's breath hitched. His entire being froze. Not only did he have full soul power, not only did he awaken the angel, but his cheat code, the real plug-in of his reincarnation… had awakened.

The Eternal Door of Time.

But he couldn't reveal it. Not to his family, not to anyone. If anyone found out he had such a god-defying ability to travel into the past, even the Angel God might descend personally to rid the world of him.

So, he laughed and scratched his head, pretending to be just another dumb boy who got lucky. Only in the silence of night did he truly sink into meditation, staring at that golden door hidden in his soul.

It was locked, sealed until his strength rose. But he could feel it—once he broke past level ten, once his cultivation advanced, the door would open. And then… he would step through.

Step into a different era.

Step into the age of ancestors.

Step into the history of Spirit Hall… to see Qian Renxue, to see the roots of his clan, to rewrite destiny.

"I will protect it…" he whispered under his breath, clenching his fists tightly under the moonlight. "I will not let Spirit Hall vanish into dust. Since heaven gave me this chance, I'll use it. Slowly or quickly, in laughter or in blood—I'll change history."

That night, his Eternal Door throbbed faintly in his soul, as if laughing with him.

The journey of Ye Tian, the boy of two eras, had begun.
