"A WHAT!?" The guild receptionist shouts loudly. Again.
"The dungeon's first floor is dark now and a creature is living in it."
"Did it look like this?" She shows me a page from a bestiary. The illustration is a black rectangle.
"The room looked like that." I'll just tell her what I could see. "It had great wide jaws--"
"Then it was a grue. Grues are deadly without a strong light source. We'll have to brief all members." She writes some notes on a piece of paper. "How did the dungeon flood go?"
"Great, we defeated all of the monsters." And... "and then everyone got teleported away."
"They got WHAT!?" She shouts loudly.
"A gate appeared and something on the other side cast Mass Expulsion."
"Why weren't you teleported out?"
"It missed." A long moment passes while she continues scribbling notes.
"This isn't so bad. Expulsion-like spells always teleport you out of a dungeon, not deeper in. We'll be able to warn everyone about the grue when they return to the guild. But, before that..." She continues writing.
"Here is your search route." She presents me with a marked map. "This is an emergency quest, so the rank reward will be higher than normal. When you find adventurers, let them know their current location, and to report to the guild immediately. We will need to send out more search parties."
