Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 60]

October 19

Markus obtained enough conscious thought that he saw and felt when he was transferred to a metal table, one usually reserved to study the anatomy of supernatural creatures for when they obtained said creatures.

But when he had been transferred to the same table he didn't care why he had been, because he didn't feel the pain.

The all so harrowing pain of feeling his bones betray him, snapping at random moments to only break down into nothing but fine dust before reassembling themselves together was sure to keep him awake for a few days.

So as he laid down on that metal table, watching as the mosaic like colours that infested his eyes slowly turn into clear images, he couldn't help but grumble to himself.

He doesn't know how long he lay there, simply collecting himself together as memories of the cruel experiment he just brought himself into came back to the forefront of his mind.

Immediately after his System had chimed him in, telling him to stay awake was when everything went to shit.

Immediately after that he felt everything as his body melted in a way, only to coalesce back into flesh, bones break and turn to dust only to rearrange and fuse back again, he stayed awake when his body was slowly remade, broken and done in again and again—everytime he was remade, he felt stronger.

But that just meant that it only hurt even more when his skin, flesh, nerves and everything in him broke apart again.

It got to a point where a single minute felt like an hour, each twitch from him feeling as if thousands of ants and needles were slowly stabbing at him.

He wondered as he sat there whether he should have just taken the original design if the Chimera serum.

To just become a chimera of two races than what he just turned himself into, but that would have been stupid.

Why would he want to settle for less when he had discovered something way more?—so that thought was quickly thrown out of his mind.

Now he simply laid there, finally coherent enough to realise that all his clones were around him—some doing checkups, some studying my frame with wonder.

Markus seeing that though grunted, trying to sit up to no avail—his limbs simply twitched before giving up on him.

' Well, that's still progress.' He thought, atleast the pain had left.

He then laid there for an hour more, each minute fuelling him with realisation as the more time passed, the more his senses returned back to him — but unlike what he was normally used to, this time his senses felt like a slowly building up tidal wave.

When everything finally settled, Markus could feel everything around him.

It almost felt like when he fully utilised all his senses.

But that shouldn't have happened, afterall he had pulled back the senses provided by the boost in perception from his [Genius Comprehension] to a point that it became second nature to him, not wavering even if he were to fall unconscious.

Delving into his psyche he paused, the pull to his perception was there.

The problem was that it seemed that his senses had been boosted beyond what they had been, and now he was only holding back the senses to the point where he had been used to—not to the point where they now were.

Grumbling to himself he looked at the corner of his eye, finding the oh so familiar '!' blinking away at him.

Sighing to himself, he sat up— garnering his clones attention as they wordlessly started helping him up the metal table, bringing out some garments for him to wear with no words exchanged.

He was a bit confused at that for a moment but then paused as another clone came in holding a container of food.

That had him even more confused, aside from them seemingly instinctually knowing what he wanted to do and helping him—he was pretty sure that he hadn't said a peep about starving which he was.

And looking at the clones all synchronised and working together as if they knew before hand what the other wanted, or could seemingly be seen as if they could read each other's minds was a bit confusing to him.

But luckily that confusion only lasted a few seconds, after that he simply got suspicious of the reason before deducing quickly that it had something with his bloodline abilities or his bloodline too.

Deciding that now wasn't the time to look through the changes that had happened to his body, he focused instead on the food brought up to him— gouging himself in the above five-star quality food his clones had no doubt cooked up earlier that day.

Minutes later as he laid down the suspiciously clean plate, he then focused on his clones who immediately turned back a bit creepily.

' Yeah, something definitely changed with my cloning ability.' He thought, fighting the urge to immediately open all his status tabs.

" So, what does the data say?" Markus asked, standing up from the cold metal table to stretch—finding that his body seemed more flexible that normal, not that surprising with the serum running through his veins, but something of note nonetheless.

" Well, a lot has happened in the past five hours since the operation started–"

" Five hours?" Markus interrupted, surprised that it had been five hours—he had thought that he spent an hour in the tank and no more before spending a little more time outside getting acclimated with his new senses.

" Yes, five. 3 hours for your body to fully absorb the serum, reconstruct it and assimilate it fully, 1 hour as your life signatures shot through the roof and the more magical side effects started showing up and then 1 hour of you resting." The clone informed him.

Hearing that Markus blinked, the procedure took more time than he estimated.

" When you say 'Magical Side effects' you mean what exactly?" Markus inquired, hoping that ther was nothing truly bad happening inside of his body.

" Well, we didn't really get that much data yet but from what we've observed" The scientist clone muttered, grabbing a tablet on the table and passing it over to him." These are the changes that we've discovered."

" For more data were waiting for you to review your status, to see what we missed and to recalibrate our analysis equipment depending on the information you give." The clone told him, though Markus wasn't paying much attention at that point.

Instead, his eyes were glued on the datapab.

• Increase in muscle density with no seeming increase in weight.

• Bone obtained an increase in density, while also becoming more hollow as the marrow filled up more. Estimations - Will cause increase in blood production.

• Cranium, arms, legs have restructured alongside their increase in strength.

~Cranium – A set of teeth have grown underneath the gums.

~Arms – nails have gained a bone like density, increase in strength and cutting functions to be expected. Arms have also turned double-jointed

~Legs -

• Aura has transformed, turning from the lime green in normally shifted in to a radiant white aura that seems to blind anyone who can 'see' aura.

• Magic Signature have spiked, mana density around the original tripling.

<|>

Reading through the list Markus nodded to himself, these were the expected changes except the last one—that one came as a surprise to him.

" These are the only changes we have the means to observe, anything more and you'll need to go through your status tabs." Was all his clone needed to say, quickly walking back to studying the data they obtained through his transformation.

And being a little impatient, Markus decided to immediately open his status—only to be stopped as he first had to read through the pop up logs presented to him.

Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 61]

October 19

[— Metamorphosical Ascension Complete! Congratulations! You've ascended into a True Chimera!]

[—Ding! You've completed the Mission – Supernatural in a bottle?

—Claim Rewards?]

He focused on those two screens first.

It was finally time, after so long it was finally time to claim the rewards for his hard labour.

Though he didn't claim it immediately though, finding that there was another mission log that he didn't know about glowing just under the first ones tab.

Looking through it's description he had to raise a brow laced with a grin as he stared at the missions title.

[—Ding! You've completed the Hidden Mission – Fully Realised Bloodline Origins.

—Claim Rewards?]

Not wanting to wonder what were to requirements to finish the mission, even if he already had his suspicions—he quickly opened up his mission tab.

Finding three completed missions, back to back.

[—Mission Complete ~ Supernatural in a bottle?

— Mission Note – You've suddenly had the 'genius' idea of using supernatural DNA to create something that can turn you into a hybrid, a chimera of two species.

Create a stable hybridization serum and inject yourself to become a hybrid.

—Reward: Trait - True Hybrid[S] | ??? | ??? | ???.

—Claim Rewards?]

[— Mission Complete ~ Unveilled Secrets.

— Mission Note – You've peered into the secrets of the universe, the very secrets that make and stabilize this world and survived even when no one should have, through sheer skill, preparation and just the right traits you alone have done it.

—Reward: Trait - Stupidly Endowed[C] | Trait - Unarmed Casting[A] | Ability - Regenerative Essence[S] | Item - Skill Stone[SS] | Item - The Beast Mask[S]

—Claim Rewards?]

[— Missions Complete ~ Fully Realised Bloodline Origins.

— Mission Note – You've managed to fully realise your bloodline, fully embracing and being one with it.

—Reward: Items - Eagis Contract Scrolls[S] X10 |Trait - Fae Beauty[A] ]

Markus felt his eye twitch as he stared at the first missions rewards.

Even now, when he had completed the mission, even then he wasn't allowed to actually see what he was gonna obtain as reward.

Breathing in to centre himself, he instead of being salty over his system, decided to study the trait that he would be obtaining.

Having surprisingly finding out that he could retrieve it's information now that the mission was complete.

[—True Hybrid[S] - You are a True Hybrid, the peak of two species—gifted the power to realise all the abilities of both species as if fully one of the two. Alongside obtaining a more enhanced subset of abilities under the creatures you are hybrid of, you also are now able to grow stronger through Will alone.]

Staring at that screen he nodded, that was what he had expected the trait to look like actually.

And he was appreciative of the fact that he knew the traits rank now.

S grade was a good enough ranking for the Trait, after all it promised at infinite path to growth.

Markus though unbelieving that this trait alone didn't have a limit to how much one can grow through willpower alone, but then again it could also be that the more will one had—the harder it was to realise more of it.

Since the other rewards were hidden, Markus decided to skip the second missions rewards as he had already previewed them and look through the last missions rewards instead.

[—Item – Eagis Contract Scroll.]

[—Rank – S]

[—Description – The Eagis Scrolls. Scrolls of contractual power so powerful that even reality bends and shudders to make all that is written adhered to. Written on the skin of the God Of Pacts with the blood of The Goddess of Contracts, the little sister of the God Of Pacts.

[—Effect¹ – All that is written, agreed to will be adhered to~ to resist is to invite certain doom upon oneself.]

[—Effect² – Transfer of assets, items, powers, bloodlines, lifespan, knowledge and anything is done instantly and without fail so long as that had been what was agreed upon as some sort of price.]

" Holy mother of..." Was the only reaction that Markus could muster after reading through the information of the 10 scrolls granted to him.

These things were cheat like in nature.

Contracts that rewrote reality, with that kind of power one would have everything.

But then again the scrolls needed something from something to obtain for it to have it's cheatlike effects realised.

For example, with the wording on the description he could make a deal with a godlike being and in exchange make it so he in return obtained that God's full power and authority.

It would be so, well that was hopeful thinking anyway.

He wouldn't be making deals with any god but he was sure that he could make some with other beings in this world.

After all, how else was he to obtain kitsune powers? Hellhound powers or Banshee powers?

There were some creatures powers that he wasn't sure he could obtain through his scientifical might but that didn't mean he wouldn't try.

But this was now a way for him to obtain all that without wasting time, simply having something one of these creatures might need and he'd have their abilities all for himself.

The next item was a bit of a mood breaker though to him.

A trait, one that increased his beauty.

[Fae Beauty[A] — You have Awakened an ancient heritage long lost in your bloodline, the fae's deceptive beauty. You have gained the Fae's stunning visage, beauty and deceptive looks that will always turn heads and attention towards you.]

Simply looking at the trait and the one that increased his phallus he could already guess where this was gonna go.

So breathing in, he ignored the trait and focused on something else.

His status.

Finally he'd get to see what days of pure uninterrupted research into the shifter creatures granted him.

And so with a smile, he called up his status tab—grinning as he saw the results.

Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 62]

October 20

—[1/5]—

—Name - Markus McCall.

—Titles - Vampire Hunter | False Warlock | The Taboo Scientist.

—Race - True Royal Alpha Chimera.

—Bloodline - Xenox[100%]

—HP - 100%

—MP - 100%

—[Stats]—

—Strength - 40

—Dexterity - 40

—Stamina - 50

—Perception - 40[160]

—Mana - 105

—Charisma - 39

—Mind - 49[58]

—[—]—

The improvements were apparent by themselves.

The first change coming from his race changing from human to now a True Royal Alpha Chimera.

' That's a mouthful...' Markus thought offhandely, even as he willed for the race to expand in detail.

[—Race ~ True Royal Alpha Chimera – A first of its kind, artificial in nature but carrying the raw ancient power of an ancient cataclysm. The True Royal Alpha Chimera is the highest class of Chimeras, able to bring upon dominion to any race they assimilate to themselves.]

' Well, that's a whole bunch of not that much information...' Markus thought with frown.

What he only obtained from that was that he held a higher form of reputation than what a normal alpha had, heck, he was even a True variant of said Alpha.

But what he wanted to see from the races description wasn't shown.

He wasn't shown the cheatlike capability to grow stronger through willpower alone, and that just threw a wrench to his plans but accepted it—having atleast expected as he was an artificial True Alpha.

So he decided to focus on the next thing of note, his bloodline had finally reached 100%.

He didn't know what that meant for now, but he was sure he would be finding out soon.

Then there were his enhanced stats.

Honestly, Markus thought that the boost would be larger than what he obtained.

Heck, the biggest boosts to his stats were given to stats he hadn't expected to even benefit from the serum.

Mana having gotten a 35 Stat boost that he didn't know where it came from.

Then there was the boost to his charisma, his least important stat.

Seeing the boost though he shuddered thinking of what it would be after claiming the [Fae Beauty] Trait.

Grumbling he then focused on his newest stat, Mind.

He was actually happy for this one, after all now he could finally use [Source Comprehension].

Well, that's what he hoped anyway.

He still wasn't sure how much Mind one needed to safely use that ability.

So with his status panel skimmed through, he went to the next one.

—[2/5]—

—[Traits]—

- Genius Comprehension[S]

- Loved By Nature[B]

- Aura Source[S]

- Rune-Marked[B]

- Recall[C]

- Source Comprehension[SS]

- Sigil Anchor[S]

- Royal Shifter[A]

- Origin Of Power[SSS]

—[-]—

And immediately he saw change, unknown traits!

He quickly clicked on each and every one of them, finding his excitement bubbling up the more and more he read through the descriptions of his newest traits.

[—Royal Shifter[A] – You are a Royal Shifter, a state above even Alpha's. As a royal Shifter you hold more authority than normal Alphas, being able to induct Omega's, Betas and even willing Alphas into your Pack with a single bite which will heal in seconds into the shape of your royal insignia. You now also exude a royal temperament, those of your race will know of your status the moment they look at you through their Shifter Sight.]

That trait answered some of the questions he had over his new race change, it was good to know that he now had benefits from the 'royal' title besides it being flavour text.

Being able to add Betas, Omega's and even Alpha's into his pack was a good thing to him, especially since Alphas which he now was one grew stronger the more subordinates they had under them and the stronger they were—for example, Deucalion.

The next Trait though was mindblowing, something that would lessen the the time needed for him to get accustomed to his body by half.

[—Origins Of Power[SSS] - A Powerful Trait connected to ones aspects of powers/abilities. This Trait allows them to Instinctively understand the capabilities and limitations of any ability they have that they are actively focusing on, allowing them to bring out the potential of said ability even if said ability is not normally used in that certain manner.]

Staring at the description of the ability he immediately marvelled the this one traits utility.

This trait alone was worth a quarter of the pain that he had to suffer through.

With this ability he could uncover the more unused aspects of his abilities, heck he might even unearth new and unexpected ones two.

So immediately he focused on one ability that he hadn't used that much ever since he obtained it.

So with a mental tug he channeled the trait [Origin Of Power] towards [Hive Connect].

It only took 10 seconds before his newest trait showed it's utility and versatility.

Already he had uncovered a use for his ability that wasn't shown in his ability description.

' Why didn't I ever think of that?' He wondered, marvelling at how useful the new information he obtained was.

Markus had just discovered that with the use of [Hive] connect, instead of connecting his brain to other clones and controlling them as if they were puppets—

He could instead, set his clones frozen except their minds and stack the extra processing power, comprehension and have an artificial mind partition in a way that was connected to one brain—the extra clones would be nothing but extra processing power for him if he wanted to utilise his brain to the highest degree.

' This would be useful for when I'm using [Trace Gloves] to absorb a ton of information or when I would finally use [Source Comprehension]' Markus thought being hit by a sudden hint of enlightenment.

He was about to channel the capabilities of [Origins Of Power] towards [Split] next when he controlled himself, not falling to distractions.

He could experiment with his abilities later, when he knew of what his newest abilities even were—but that wasn't the time, because next on the list after the Traits tab was the Skills tab.

So with a small inhale he quickly opened up the gigantic list of skills he was studied in.

Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 63]

October 21

Looking at the long list of skills in his disposal, Markus simply focused on the two skills he had obtained.

He was surprised that he had obtained a second skill through the ordeal besides [Pain Tolerance] though.

And when he saw what skill it was he was more confused than anything.

The second skill he obtained was [Mediation]

—[New Skills]—

—Lifestyle Skills—

- Meditation[3]

—Combat Skills—

- Pain Tolerance[8]

—[-]—

Markus was left frozen there in the lab for a moment, his mind churning as he tried remembering the moment he had achieved pure meditation.

But as much as he tried, he doesn't remember falling into a meditative state at all.

' Oh well, another mystery added I guess?' He thought not wanting to give that thought any more focus.

With his newest skills up and accounted for, he them focused on the tab that he was most excited about.

The Ability Tab.

And as quick as he opened it, he knew he was in for a good time as the screen that had been small compared to the others before it started stretching to a good length and inside were all his abilities laid there for him to preview.

—[Abilities]—

—[4/5]—

—Passive—

—Hive Connect[SS]

—Boundless Chimera Assimilation[EX]

—Active—

—Split[SS]

—Supernatural Sight[A]

—Royal Chimera Howl[B]

—Chimera Shifter[A]

—Alphas Sacrifice[B]

—Chimeric Absorption[S]

—Memory Manipulation Ritual[A]

—Chimeras Gift[A]

—[-]—

[—Ability ~ Boundless Chimera Assimilation.]

[—Rank ~ EX

[—Description ~ Allows the user the ability to assimilate any and every bloodline they get their hands on. This can be through a varying amount of means, either by being bit, cursed into said creature or other obscure means—what is true though about this ability is that the user will be able to assimilate any number of creatures into themselves.

—With each race added, the users base form grows stronger.

—Allows the user to fuse different forms into one, obtaining the powers of said forms and none of the disadvantages of doing such a thing.

~ Assimilated Races – None.]

There were no words to describe how Markus felt when he read through the description of his strongest ability.

The ability deserved it's EX rank, for it held near limitless potential.

Now all that was left was for him to start hunting other creatures to steal their genes.

He had plans on how he'd do that, plans that will no doubt land him a lot of enemies but that was future hims problem.

For now with the excitement of a kid he moved on to the next ability.

[—Ability ~ Supernatural Sight.]

[—Rank ~ A]

[—Description ~ Supernatural Sight, an evolved ability that most shifters have. This ability allows the user to see through the mundane and into the supernatural, allowing them to see the true essence of beings around them also allows them to see magic as what it truly is.]

This one wasn't half bad, he remembered that the original sight that shifters had, had allowed Scott to see Kira's Fox Spirit so him being a mage hybrid would have more use for the ability.

[—Ability ~ Royal Chimera Howl.]

[—Rank ~ B]

[—Description ~ The Royal Chimera Howl, a calling howl able to entrance any Betas and even Alpha's to the howlers location while also ensuring minor subservience from those with lower wills to the howler.

~ This only calls and entrances creatures that the user has assimilated.]

Now this one had potential, with it he wondered whether he could pick up stray supernatural creatures to do join his pack or not—though first he needed to obtain ways to become said creatures.

[—Ability ~ Chimera Shifter]

[—Rank ~ S]

[—Description ~ Chimera Shifting, the ability to shift forms that all were-creatures have. Unlike most were-creatures though, the user of this ability has the ability to shift into a plethora of were-forms and if the Chimera in question holds an Alpha Status then the ability will allow them to shift into each forms complete state where they shed their humanly facades and truly become beasts.

—Half-Shift Abilities ~ Superior Strength, speed, agility, durability, healing and senses.

—Unlocked Forms – None.]

This was probably the evolved form of the partial shifting that most supernatural creatures had—glowing eyes, sharp teeth and sometimes sideburns.

He'd have to experiment further with this ability, and also obtain more forms.

[—Ability ~ Alpha Sacrifice.]

[—Rank ~ B]

[—Description ~ Alpha Sacrifice, the selfless act where an Alpha Sacrifices their status as an Alpha to fully heal another creature of any ailments they have plaguing them—they could be at death's door and they would come back fully rejuvenated]

Immediately after seeing that ability, Markus immediately started looking around the screens tab to see whether there was a 'delete' button or not.

There was no way in hell that he would ever use this ability. He remembered that Derek in the original timeline had used it to heal his sister, in doing so losing his Alpha status and becoming a bitch for the following seasons.

He did not want the same for him, even if he was sure he could become alpha again even if he did lose his current alpha status.

But even then, he quickly put the ability out of his mind and would now pretend as if it never existed in the first place.

[—Ability ~ Chimeric Absorption]

[—Rank ~ S]

[—Description ~ Normally was Pain Absorption, has now evolved into Chimeric Absorption. While still keeping the original abilities capability to absorb pain from other creatures with tactile contact—The ability has evolved to now allow the user the ability to absorb other supernatural species powers and bloodlines into themselves.]

And there it was.

The ability that cut his problems in half.

With this he could simply hunt were-creatures and take their abilities instead of genetically creating slightly lesser beings.

He wondered whether his ability was the culmination of other abilities, as it was shown in the show that werewolves at the very least could absorb others powers. Or absorb their lifeforce to increase their own power, like the Deucalion Alpha Pack did.

But that wasn't important, what was important was that he now had the means to power.

[—Ability ~ Memory Manipulation Ritual]

[—Rank ~ A]

[—Description ~ With the use of the shifters claws, the user by penetrating the back of the recipients neck is able to bridge a connection between the shifter and the affected persons memories—This allows the shifter the ability to view the recipients memories, share them, suppress, implant or remove said memories entirely.]

He remembered this ability too, not really that practical in its usage but useful nonetheless. Being able to read people's memories with a single claw grab.

But he'd need to be careful, or better yet just use his trait [Origins Of Power] when using such a volatile ability.

But for now he wasn't gonna touch it yet, so he focused on his last ability.

[—Ability ~ Chimeras Gift.]

[—Rank ~ A]

[—Description ~ Normally named 'Alphas Gift', this ability allows the Chimera the ability to turn humans or other supernatural creatures into Chimeras of species that the Alpha Chimera has already Assimilated. Be careful though with turning supernatural creatures, as the likelihood of rejection is high and gifting people too many race attributes will overwhelm and kill them.]

Now that was a interesting ability, it was also the only ability that had a warning with its use.

But it didn't matter.

He wouldn't be using this ability much anyway, if he needed a pack there were many avenues he could take.

Plus he had the advantage of being a multi-species pack with the usage of the trait [Royal Shifter] that allowed him to claim shape shifters that he didn't turn.

And finally with all his abilities looked through, he again looked back at his Missions.

And not wanting to prolong this any longer, he quickly claimed all three of the Missions rewards.

Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 64]

November 2

The resulting status changed as he expected, but seconds as looked his status he saw what he expected.

[Missions Claimed!]

[— Mission Complete ~ Unveilled Secrets.

— Mission Note – You've peered into the secrets of the universe, the very secrets that make and stabilize this world and survived even when no one should have, through sheer skill, preparation and just the right traits you alone have done it.

[—Missions Complete ~ Fully Realised Bloodline Origins.

— Mission Note – You've managed to fully realise your bloodline, fully embracing and being one with it.

—Claimed Rewards: Items - Eagis Contract Scrolls[S] X10 |Trait - Fae Beauty[A]-]

As he thought, another prompt came after, though he never expected that immediately after the third mission of the mission he was most curious about would immediately start sending red notification screens right after.

—Claimed Rewards: Trait - True Hybrid[S] | ??? | ??? | ???.]

[Mission Error! Error! Error! Error]

{Erasing Error!}

{Error unable to be erased due to unforeseen factors!}

{Conflicting Traits found! Resolving Conflict....Failed!}

{Error! Error! Error!}

Just for a minute Markus was actually getting worried that he had probably broken his system somehow.

{Isolating and analysing error!}

{•Host possessed a higher grade trait then one that was to be initially rewarded!

•Host has achieved a higher objective than one set by the System!}

{Finding possible solutions to offset error!.....}

And just like that, Markus found himself waiting with baited breath as a loading screen appeared before him.

' Well uh...I don't know whether this is good or not.' He thought, amused, worried and proud that his actions could effect such a thing as the System.

Though he probably shouldn't have felt proud over possibly stunting his other main source of his success till now.

So sighing to himself walked out of the lab, finally reaching his room as he plopped down on his bed with a smile on his face.

He had done it.

He had completed all that he had came out to do here, attained power like none other.

' Now comes the hard part.' He thought, his face souring with a grimace.

He needed to get back to Beacon Hills, but not only that, he needed to make sure that the hunters didn't try to capture nor kill him.

There were many ways he could go about this, that much he realised.

But the one way he was more enthused to take was one where he presented himself as an equal power to them or even higher now.

But he wouldn't be sure that wouldn't just make them want to kill him even more.

So he had to employ deception.

He needed for the hunters and even the packs or covens in his town to need him, his help or knowledge.

And so that was why he had come up with a plan to terrorise the supernatural and hunter groups of Beacon.

Of course, not as himself but under an alias.

Using his clones to disguise as the everyday evil bad guys, while also furthering his own agendas using said alias.

With the evil persona he wanted to create he would be able to do a lot of the morally evil stuff while his normal persona would be the only one with knowledge of said group, thus making him indispensable.

' Oh god, we need to have everything ready by night.' He grumbled, connecting his mind with his recon clone miles away from him.

Quickly he sifted through their mind and sighed.

It seemed that today was the day that Peter was to be killed.

He needed to be there when that happened, just to solidify his presence and power.

So with another mental probe he started filtering through a many of his clones memories.

He had given some clones tasks to complete, just like there was a second recon clone that was keeping Lydia and Erica in their eyes—There were other clones at work to further his plans.

So he quickly connected again to his scientist clones, giving them the green light to commence with serum injections to their homeless caste of captives.

Immediately he watched them through their eyes as they went to do as he commanded at the drop of the hat.

And just as he was done with that, his system blared up, this time the screen returning back to the blue he was so used for—having probably cleared up the errors.

[—Ding! Due to Mission Error~The Mission - 'Supernatural in a bottle?' is unviable anymore alongside their rewards due to the host having exceeded all expectations.]

Markus reading those words didn't know whether to grin or be proud of himself, so he did both, waiting as another screen appeared before him.

[—Ding! The System has thus deemed it fair to updade the mission alongside the mission rewards!]

[—Ding! The Completed Mission – Supernatural in a bottle has been updated!]

[~Mission Complete ~ Supernatural in a bottle?

~Mission Note – You've suddenly had the 'genius' idea of using supernatural DNA to create something that can turn you into a hybrid, a chimera of two species.

Create a stable hybridization serum and inject yourself to become a hybrid.

—Claimed Rewards: Trait - Wild Magic Core[SS] | Item - Arcane Oak Saplings[SS] | Trait - Boundless Love[S]| Item - Tome Of Blessings[S].]

[—Begin Assimilation of Traits and Abilities?]

Markus seeing the updated rewards raised a brow, actually happy at the outcome of this.

But now he was extremely curious about the new rewards descriptions, and luckily for him the traits and ability from the previous two missions seemed to be waiting for him to confirm the assimilation request too so he had time to appraise the new and actually visible rewards he now had.

Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 65]November 12

[—Wild Magic Core[SS] - The Wild Magic Core is the spark of all supernatural creatures ascent, in this small metaphysical core is where all creatures draw their beastly magical lore from. The holder of the Wild Magic Core is able to tap into their wildest beastly aspect, pulling it from their depths and out into the world allowing them to break through every single barrier their kind is restricted by into their Truest State.]

Markus stared at the description of the trait and scoffed, the description brought up to him was nothing but Bologna.

It didn't truly show him the capabilities of the trait, simply flowery words that almost seemed to promise him power of some true state he doesn't know jack shit about.

Apparently all traits that broke through the S Rank were vague.

He wouldn't make the mistake of underestimating the trait though, even though he still wondered whether this was a fair trade over to what the original trait he would have got.

But that didn't matter at the end, [Origin Of Power] would show him the abilities true worth and capabilities without fail as soon as he Assimilated the traits.

So he moved on to the next reward, an item.

[—Item - Arcane Oak Saplings

—Rank - SS

—Description - Arcane Oak Saplings are one of the most coveted resources of a magic user. Their roots, bark, leaves and even their fruits when fully matured brimming with pure magic that permeates throughout the lands. Arcane Oak brings fortune to those around it, drawing magical life towards it while blessing the land with magical Artifacts at its maturity.

—Effect ¹ ~ Due to its bonded nature to Markus McCall, most of the effects of the Arcane Oak tree will be centred around them.

Effect ² ~ Increases magical resources growing up around its increasing fields by 500%.

Effect ³ ~ Increases the mana saturation of the area around it, said area will keep expanding so long as the tree grows.

Effect ⁵ ~ The Arcane Oak Trees material such as bark, leaves and fruits are divine level reagents and crafting material and may allow a few people to pick from it, but if stolen and harvested with its permission the offender will be cursed. For Markus McCall they are able to pick anything from the tree with no restrictions.]

Markus stared at the description of the sapling, then at its effects and immediately his mind was made up.

This was gonna be the new Nematon, by fire or blood if it had to be.

He didn't know what he'd need to do it order for the Arcane Oak tree to be recognised by the Entity he made a deal with but he'd do it.

The Arcane Oak tree already seemed to have most of the properties of the original Nematon if not better.

His mind was going through plan after plan, some were viable and some weren't but at the end he had some ideas of where to start.

[Source Comprehension] would allow him to immediately comprehend the nature of the sapling and the Nematon once he found it.

[Aura Decryption] would then fill in on copying whatever made the Nematon the Nematon.

But for that plan to be viable he needed two things, a ridiculous amount of [Mana] due to the probable changes he'd need to do.

Then a high enough [Mind] to handle the strain that using [Source Comprehension] in tandem with [Aura Decryption] would ensue on him.

Already he was quite happy at the updated rewards he obtained but the minute he read through the Trait that came next he froze, annoyance and a bit of anger bubbling up inside him.

[—Boundless Love[A] - You exhude a feeling of boundless love, a whispering love that makes all those interested in you to feel your unwavering and boundless love. This makes it so that woman who are interested in you are able to put aside their morals to have you, even making them more susceptible to sharing you and even helping other woman to become yours.]

Markus felt his eye twitch when he saw that trait.

" Oh god..." He grumbled.

He felt like his system as of late was really gunning for him to get into sexual relations with everyone he met.

The traits he had been getting lately were really ridiculous but he nonetheless would take the trait, he had no choice in the matter anyway.

Plus it wasn't even as if the trait wasn't beneficial, actually it was the opposite.

After all, with his goals being achieved, being a Chimera and all, he was due some relief.

And hopefully this trait would do well to help him in getting with some of the woman in this world.

And of course he wouldn't mind ridding his brother of his love interests, heck with the traits he obtained he might as well steal everyone he so much as looked at with love.

' Cucking him would be a mercy, well before I put him out of his misery.' He thought not at all that perturbed about the prospect of murdering his brother.

He probably wouldn't do it, Scott was a bitch and he deserved some suffering for the shit he put him through but he hadn't done anything that deserving of death yet.

But abandoning their mother to go off and play werewolf was a close sin to him to just end him.

But that would be hypocritical of him, as he did the same.

Even if he had done so for his continued survival and freedom to pursue his goals, he still abandoned her.

But unlike him, Scott gratefully left her to wallow and depression over his disappearance.

The more he thought about it the more he wanted to bash Scotts head in.

' Deep breaths, Markus. You'll have your chance.' He thought calming himself down before moving on to the last reward.
