*Chapter 12: The Rescue*
Mira followed jade through the winding corridors, her heart racing with excitement and fear. They reached a hidden door, and Alex whispered, "This is the way out. Stay close."
As they stepped out into the night, Mira felt a rush of freedom. But suddenly, they were ambushed by a group of armed men. Jade pushed Mira behind him, shielding her from harm.
But he was no match for the attackers. Mira watched in horror as jade was overpowered. Just as all hope seemed lost, a figure emerged from the shadows.
Leo.
With swift and deadly precision, he took down the attackers. When the dust settled, he turned to Mira, his eyes blazing with anger.
"What were you thinking?" he demanded. "You could have gotten yourself killed."
And where was the guy you were following
Only for Mira to turn and say "he was right here"she pointed to where jade was standing a minute ago
Wait what he was right here I swear he promised to help me get away from u she said softly and she lowered her voice she looked up only to meet a blazing eyes filled with anger ok
Mira stood tall, despite the fear trembling inside her. "I was trying to escape," she said, her voice steady.
Leo's expression softened slightly, atleast she told he truth he hates lies and he reached out to grab her arm. "You're coming with me," he said, pulling her back toward the mansion.
As they walked, Mira realized she was in Leo's debt. But she couldn't shake the feeling that he had saved her for a reason, and that reason might not be good for her...
