When the silence grew awkward, Seo Yujin thought of what to say, at least.
"Your parents aren't around..." he stared at Yan'an, who was already looking at him. Their eyes met.
Yan'an nodded. "Yes. They're not around. They're probably not going to be coming back anytime soon."
Seo Yujin slowly nodded. "Ah, I see..." He didn't wish to ask further; he didn't feel like it was his business.
But he still needed something to fill the silence with. "Do they stay in China, maybe? For work or something?"
Yan'an shrugged. "Maybe."
"Maybe?"
Yan'an smiled as he drank. "They're always never around. Always everywhere but home. So I don't really know. I seldom see them, though."
He smiled as he said it, and Seo Yujin wondered if that was at all a casual thing to say. He simply nodded.
Yan'an drank again as Seo Yujin stared at him. "You should stop drinking. It's not healthy for you."
Yan'an smiled, staring at him. "Why? Is Hyung worried about me?"
"I'm just saying..." Yujin expressed.
