Back at the ambulance park, Daniel Xylander and Draven still stood where they were, discussing their next move.
Tension hung in the air. Daniel was lost in thought; destroying the Lancaster family was his utmost goal, but he wondered what would remain for him afterward.
"Dan, darling, where are we staying tonight? After that little incident, we've been standing here like refugees," Draven stated. Daniel turned to face him, then looked toward the ambulance where Adrian was being treated.
The cut wasn't deep, so they had decided to let the paramedics handle him in their presence. Daniel still needed Adrian and didn't want him far from sight—these days, poison slithered everywhere. Who knew when a nobody might try to sway his mind? A loyal dog was all Daniel needed Adrian to be, and soon that would come to pass.
