Chapter 3 - 2nd MC. Dan-hye

"Dan Dan." That's the word I keep hearing from my peers, as long as I can remember, this is what everyone else called me when they hated me.

I don't remember what I did and what caused them to hate me, but no matter what I do, the people around me will always hate me.

With the help of my family, I didn't fall into any kind of situation, and I wasn't sad or depressed because of them.

I love and cherish every single one of my family, and I'm thankful for them being with me back then...

Though this might be rude, the one thing that truly helped me back then was this endless supply of trash Isekai, with the same storyline where the main character becomes OP for no reason.

One thing I hated about them was the harem that doesn't contribute to the story at all, except for fan service.

Why can't the authors make one female lead for the main character? Is it that hard? —anyway.

Thanks to those I was able to continue on my own and ignore those who hated me.

But all of that doesn't matter now. Right now, all that matters is what will happen to me.

One day, without any warning, I found myself and four males inside a white space. Endless in all directions, with no sudden changes at all to the environment.

The moment we entered this space, the brownish man came towards me and asked me if I was okay.

Maybe because he saw me sitting on the ground and thought I was panicking and tried to help me.

After I told him I was alright, he left on his own, he didn't force himself on me or try to stay longer—he just left.

"Nice." I thought of him as he left. A few minutes after he left, he yelled something, although I couldn't hear him clearly since he was a bit far away.

Then he appeared, the person I was waiting for all those moments. "God."

The person meant to give everyone the power to survive in this new world. When he told us to call our status he snuck behind the brownish man and then proceeded to have a long conversation with him.

After those two shook hands, I found myself, along with the others, falling down the sky, when a portal opened behind everyone, he screamed out.

"GOOD LUCK"

---

When I opened my eyes, I found myself staring at the ceiling. I quickly got up and checked my surroundings.

I was in a cave with an uneven path, a high ceiling above, and water dripping occasionally. No plants were growing just the dirt floor with tiny rocks on it.

From the atmosphere of the area, I should be in a dark space, but I could see as if the sun was right above me.

Then, I remembered my skills that already existed beforehand. My skills are already proving their worth and helpfulness the moment I set foot in this world... Nice.

From the conversation between those two, before we got cut off from hearing them. I should be inside or near a town, but why am I starting inside a cave?

Then right now… I should be inside a dungeon? Most of the stories I read have a town where a dungeon is in the middle of it.

Then this place should be a dungeon inside a town.

I look around, hoping to find someone to ask. With no one else to ask or to answer my question, I summon my status window.

As soon as I summoned, I spotted another detail I didn't see back in the white space.

[Status window

"Unique traits." This wasn't here before. Reading it, I came to the conclusion that these are my cheat powers.

Seeing how I don't have anything on me except for my clothes, I tried to call out to it, but nothing happened.

I summon my status again and study it for a much longer time this time. Looking at the first trait of mine, I should be able to summon a magic gun and bullets.

But no matter how much I tried, it didn't come at all. I was frustrated for a moment.

Right now, I need a weapon to use inside this place if I want to go back to the surface without a scratch.

After ten minutes of trying, nothing came up, so I gave up. I summoned my status again and saw the items displayed and remembered that the brownish man was making a deal with God for another 'card'.

Remembering it now, that was a careless action if I had to say so, he made a deal not to spawn near a town for another one.

Maybe if God hadn't belittled him, he would not have made that decision.

Clearing my mind from thinking about that man. I realized that I have [Item box] skills, I called it out, then a box opened in the air.

The entry was pure black as if it were the void, but the moment I put my hand on it, I could see everything inside of it. There I pulled out a random item card provided by God.

I turned it back to back to see its design, but it didn't have anything on it. It was simply a card with no proper design, it was simply there to give everyone something to use.

I touch the surface of it, with a sudden flash of light it pops in the air and makes a small smoke.

The moment the smoke went away I saw two items on the ground, a Gun and chainmail armor.

"..."

Looks like I needed to use the card for my gun to appear. Gazing at them I used my [Appraisal] skill and read the description on them.

[Magic Gun- a magic gun.]

"Wow, so helpful."

[Chainmail armor- a chainmail armor that will strengthen itself with your stats.

The defense of it will use all your energy type stats (Mana, HP, and stamina).

As your stats grow, the defense it provides will grow too. All additional stats inside a "()" will not add up.

Current defense: 469.

"..."

"Overpowered! Is this real? This is too much, then how about the others? Do they also get these types of items from their card? How about that man who has two of these?"

I was excited and hype about the item I got from the card, it took me a couple of minutes to stop appreciating it.

The magic gun of mine was a revolver. I didn't have any knowledge of using one, but the moment I grabbed it, my hands seemed to know how to use it.

I inhaled and exhaled, before moving from my position. Now with my armor that increases my defense by over 500 if I round it up, I didn't feel any danger in my sight.

A few hours have passed since I started moving on. So far, nothing much has happened. I manage to avoid any fights and groups of monsters that I think I cannot kill.

From the monster I saw moving up, this dungeon is a low-rank one, with monsters like giant butterfly larvae and some goblins.

Each time I moved up on the floor, a number was carved out from the stairs going up. The floor I was on before was floor 6; right now, I'm on floor 4. Making the monsters on this floor easier.

Turning around the corner, I found the stairs again. As I got closer to it, two types of monsters appeared blocking my way. One goblin and two larvae.

"Appraisal"

[Goblin - Level: 4] [Giant larvae - Level: 3] [ Giant larvae - Level: 4]

As soon as I read their details, the goblin came running at me. I shoot twice only for the goblin to dodge it without a problem.

The two larvae behind, shoot out two balls of silk at me. The moment it got near me, it exploded, restraining my movement.

The goblin looks at me, restrained, then throws out its club and pulls out a small knife from its pocket. Unable to move, it charged at me, stabbing me in the stomach.

The goblin looks at my face, probably hoping to see me coughing out blood, but instead, it sees me grinning.

The goblin tried to jump out, but with the silk restraining its foot it couldn't.

Looking at the goblin, I bit my lips and placed the gun tips on its head. I pulled the trigger, killing it on the spot, creating a loud bang.

The smell of blood sickens me, but looking at the two larvae I ignored it.

[You have obtained 42 exp]

Looking at the window, I yanked out the knife and used my [Telekinesis] skills on it. Killing the two larvae by running the knife towards their head.

[Level up] [Current exp. 37/100]

As the two larvae plop to the ground, a pool of blood is made. With a green light, their body disappeared, replaced with a ball of silk and a tooth.

I picked them up and put them into my [Item box]

"Status"

3rd floor of the dungeon.

The floor was still the same, high ceiling, dirt floor with tiny rocks, not much difference from the floor before.

As Dan rested on the stairs between the floors, Goblins were roaming the 3rd floor. Looking at them, Dan can say they are much stronger than the ones below.

Dan already used her Appraisal skill on the goblins on this floor, who have skills with them.

[Goblin - Level: 2 - skill: Smash]

[Goblin - Level: 2 - skill: Stab]

Since their skills don't have any level, they might be level 1 only. But having a skill can make them dangerous.

She looked up at the walls, noting that no bugs were crawling above or on them; still, an ambush could happen if Dan took this place too lightly.

Dan raised her gun and closed one of her eyes as one of the goblins came into Dan sight; she pulled the trigger.

Releasing a load bang that echoed in the dungeon. As the mana bullet flew to the goblin, a blade stabbed through it, saving the goblin from Dan's attack.

"Shit! That's one strong goblin." Dan murmured as she lowered her body to the stairs to hide from them.

Dan thought for sure she could just shoot them dead on the stairs and safely move up, but seeing how one of the goblins was able to stop her attack.

She realized this wasn't gonna be easy as she thought.

Calling her status window, Dan examines it more, looking at the element affinity, she wonders if she can make use of them.

Dan collectively remembers her first fight before, how many bullets she used, and how many missed. From shooting the goblin and killing it, to the one she used a while ago.

"Two misses, one hit, and one miss again. Since this revolver has six bullets in total, I only have two shots left..." Dan hesitated for a moment.

"The bullet would reload on its own right?" Dan questions whether her gun would reload on its own. If it didn't, she would be in big trouble. Although she obtained a knife and a club, she wasn't confident enough to use them.

At best, she wanted to get out of here without fighting in closed combat, if it was possible. Maybe in the future she will willingly fight head-to-head, but now? Absolutely not.

Dan raised her gun again, locking her sight on the goblin with the stab skills. She took a breath and released it, along with the trigger. And once again, the goblin simply stabbed the mana bullet with ease.

"Last shot." Dan murmurs, she was already on her last bullet. If she doesn't kill it with this, and her gun doesn't reload, Dan plans to run through them if it's needed, just to get out of here.

"Come on you can do this." Dan took a deep breath and released it, along with the trigger of her gun. As the bullet is released from the gun, a status window appears, and time seems to slow down.

[The Unique Traits: 'Perfect shot' and 'Charge shot' have been activated.]

[The next shot is guaranteed to hit the target and damage is increased by the number of bullets missed]

[Total of missed shots: 2. Damage will increase by 200%]

As time went back, the bullet hit the goblin with the stab skill in the head and exploded into pieces. Dan stood still for a moment, surprised by the effects of her unique traits.

A second later, another status window appeared. With words reminding her that her gun has a full magazine again. Along with new bullets; [Fire bullet]

Without a thought, Dan quickly used the new bullets she obtained and shot the remaining goblin who was frozen in fear at the sight of his companion's headless body.

As the bullet struck the goblin, flames engulfed its entire body. The goblin screamed in agony, rolling on the ground desperately, but the fire refused to extinguish. Eventually, all that remained of the goblin was ash.

[Level up]

"Another level up!?" The next second, the bodies of the goblin disappeared, replaced with two teeth and one book. Moving closer and picking them up, she used her Appraisal skill on the book.

[Skill book - Stab - increased sword penetration by 10%] [Learn the skill? (Y/N)]

Dan looked at the option before her and smiled before picking the—

Dan continued to rise through the floors, killing the monster along the way. With mana and fire bullets, the fight became easier and more fun than before.

With the knowledge of her last bullet increased damage by the amount of missed shots and guaranteed hit, Dan worries about losing disappeared completely.

Walking up the stairs, she finally reached the first floor. She looked around and wondered for the first time; "Where are people in this dungeon?"

She has been constantly moving up, but not once did she spot or see someone else inside the floors or meet someone on the stairs.

A sudden scream of a woman broke her thought. Dan looked around and tried to guess which direction the screaming came from.

With another scream, she pinpointed the location coming from the west. Without hesitation, she ran towards the scream.

Along the way, she fired multiple shots, leaving only one bullet left. Using her mana, she replaced the last bullet with a fire bullet taking 100 points.

As the screaming gets louder, she runs faster. With a final turn, there she found a girl inside a barrier with seven goblins surrounding her, hitting the barrier with their club.

Dan bit her lips and fired the last shot. Once again, the notification of her unique traits appeared, this time with a bit of difference, unlike the first one, where the increased damage was only 200%.

This time the increased damage was 600%, along with a buff with her fire bullet, in AOE effects and burning effects.

As the bullet left the gun's tip, fire surged forth like a great immortal Phoenix. With the goblins perfectly lined up, the fiery bird swept through them, tearing away their heads and reducing their bodies to ash.

No blood spilled, and no foul stench lingered—only silence and scorched stone remained.

"Haa.. haaa, I run for a bit long..." Dan whispered as she gasped for air. Looking at the girl inside the barrier, she wipes herself and runs to her.

Bending over and giving her hand, she asked with a smile and soft voice. "Are you alright?" Captivating the girl inside the barrier.

Releasing her barrier and grabbing Dan's hand, the girl stood up and opened her mouth. She hesitated for a bit wondering if she should continue her question to Dan.

A second later, Dan wiped her face with her hand. With the current situation, the girl worries left her and grabbed Dan's hand together and confidently ask Dan.

"Are you interested in dating another woman?" Her face turned as red as a tomato, smoke seemed to rise above her head, and her hands were sweating profusely.

"What!?!" Dan exclaimed, her face also flushing from the unexpected question.

Dating another woman was something she had only seen in fiction, but now it was happening right in front of her.

Not just around her, but to her.

"Is that a no?" the girl asked, observing Dan's reaction.

"Um... It's not a no," Dan replied hesitantly.

"Then I have a chance!?" the girl said, a smile spreading across her face.

Dan gazed at the girl before her, unsure of whether to take her question seriously.

But seeing the eager expression on the girl's face, she finally answered, "Maybe?"

***

"Is that so?" Dan replied to the words of the girl. After some time, Dan and the girl left the area they were in and rested on the stairs.

The moment they sat down, the girl pulled out a basket of food and shared it with Dan. As they ate, Dan began to ask questions, to which the girl responded happily.

The questions Dan asked were: What's the name of this town? Where is this town located? And how come there's no one in this dungeon?

The girl answered that the name of the town is 'Laverien,' located on the eastern side of the continent.

For the last question, she added more details. The dungeon they were in is a beginner's guide where low-level players (those below level 10) can safely level up.

Since the dungeon is mostly used for people who are level 10 and below. Which is a weird occurrence in this world, as everyone would typically be at levels 6-9 by the time they received the blessing from God to see their status window.

To address this, the first mayor of the town cast a spell that prevents people above level 10 from entering, allowing lower-level players to farm inside safely and be protected from those who might abuse them.

Leaving the dungeon, the two held each other's hands tightly.
