Luck took several steps back as he gazed at the crazed beast who stared back at him with hungry, bloodshot eyes.
Luck frantically scanned his brain for anything that could help his current situation but alas, he could find nothing.
It was understandable though.
When extremely conflicted with a negative emotion or gravely injured, beasts can tap into this state.
In exchange for their intelligence, beasts are given access to a significant boost in strength for a short period of time. After the time elapsed, the beast would enter a weakened state
It was a sort of last stand skill. The amount of power drawn from the berserk state depends on the talent and grade of the beast; with some even skipping to an entire rank.
The higher the power, the higher the risk though.
(So I have two options now) Luck thought
Either the omega's health was below 30% or it was currently feeling a raging fury against its assailants.
(It might be a little of both. Either way its intelligence was extremely low)

The wolf suddenly appeared slashing at where Luck was a moment ago .
From a nearby tree branch, Luck smirked coldly down at the omega .
(I can read your movements as clear as day. It doesn't matter the power;a mindless beast is still a mindless beast. )
*Slash*
Luck abruptly leaped off the branch as the wolf ripped his claws through the trunk, effectively felling the tree.
The omega jumped into the air to meet him.
(Stupid)Luck thought condescendingly as he twisted his body sideways in mid-air, narrowly avoiding its bulky body.
"Luke listen:I know how to beat it !" Luck shouted as he hooked the crook of his shepherd staff to the nape of the omega.
A figure flew past Luck.
Looking up, he saw his brother in the air as he held his weapons skilfully while he plummeted towards the omega.
*Thud *
Landing deftly, Luke grinned at his twin "So what's the plan?"
"Aim for the neck again " Luck replied as he brandished his dagger " This time I'll help you. "
Luke grinned as he instantly joined in hacking the fully regenerated skin of the wolf.
*Flash**Flash **Flash *...
*Boom*
The omega crashed into the ground where Kira laid in wait for it.
*Puchi*
A black spike;purely made of shadows, pierced its chin, and made its way into the omega's skull, barely missing its brain and pinning it to the ground.
*Awoooooooooo*
*Flash **Flash**Flash*...
The wolf howled in pain at the pain especially with the humans that were still mercilessly slashing its nape.
*Brrrrrrrrrrrrr*
The wolf suddenly began to emit a low rumbling noise as if it was experiencing nausea.
"Damn" Luck cursed aloud in alarm as he dashed at Luke, pushing him off the omega's back.
"Uwahhhhhhhh"
*Puchi**Puchi**Puchi*...
Countless spikes grew out of the omega's body effectively piercing Luck's arms, legs and the rest of his body.
