Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: "The Blank Page"

World:

The city of Eldra, a steampunk fantasy metropolis, where people live strictly according to the Grand Book of Fate.

No one dares to interfere with another's destiny… except for something that shouldn't exist.

---

Protagonist:

Name: Ael

Age: 17

Personality: Serious but mischievous, curious, keen observer

Status: Orphaned, raised in Eldra, well-versed in the laws of the world

---

Opening Scene:

Ael walked through the central market of Eldra, where the crowd was in chaos.

The chimes of the clock tower clashed, yet time seemed off.

Shadows of some people moved slower than their bodies.

Echoes of Distortion reverberated around him.

He glanced around and noticed an old cabinet at the library's entrance.

A faint silver glow emanated from a piece of paper inside.

Pushing the cabinet aside, Ael found a blank page—no names, no records.

---

Ael's first thought:

> "What… is this? Why can no one touch it but me?"

The moment he touched the page:

A whisper echoed faintly in his mind.

He saw the lives of nearby people erasing into shadow, though he didn't yet know how to control it.

The surrounding Distortion began to spread.

He felt a power that was unnatural, something not meant for the world.

Ael noticed the strangeness:

One person in the market froze mid-step.

A woman cried silently, her lips unmoving.

Everything seemed "ordered to stop" by an unseen force.

---

Hook / Rising Tension:

A whisper in his mind said:

> "The one who holds the blank page… will be the one to erase fates that shouldn't exist."

The Distortion expanded. Panic spread through the crowd.

Ael had to decide:

1. Write fate → gain power and responsibility

2. Leave it → Distortion would continue, destroying lives around him

Suddenly, the first Fate Hunter appeared on a rooftop.

Wearing a mask, a flowing black cloak

Eyes fixed on Ael, saying without words:

> "You shouldn't possess that… but I will make sure."

---

Ael's thoughts:

Hands trembling, heart racing

Feeling the weight of unprecedented responsibility

Another whisper:

> "Every word you write… will alter the fates of others… and this world."

He gripped the blank page tightly.

The Distortion in the market began forming shadowy shapes.

The entire square seemed to freeze momentarily, before exploding into chaos.
