"Did you hear anything?"
While running, Star-Lord suddenly asked Yondu beside him.
"Of course I heard it. There were explosions everywhere, and the roar of machinery! I never want to come to this barren land again." Yongdu led his men to hide here and there in the steel jungle, and said slightly breathlessly.
"No, that's not what I mean!" Star-Lord looked at another battlefield close in front of him, which was also where their Gamora might be now, and shook his head.
"Which one are you referring to? I can only hear these voices and your voice now!" Yondu, who was running side by side with Star-Lord, turned his head and glared at him.
"It's the whistle! The sound of your whistle!" Star-Lord suddenly realized, took out his elemental gun and shot a mechanical machine that emerged from the complex steel jungle in the head, while replying to Yondu.
"I didn't whistle!" Yondu said, suddenly stopping and staring blankly ahead. They had reached the edge of the battlefield, and his view suddenly widened. He saw the dangerous individuals facing off on the field, including Ronan, and the familiar figures cleaning the weapons of the Chitauri and Kree soldiers.
"Isn't that your whistle arrow?" Star-Lord and the predators stumbling behind him also witnessed the shocking scene. It was as if a huge red net had been woven around them, and the net was full of prey lying on the ground. Star-Lord looked at the scene in shock and subconsciously said to Yondu.
"My Akka arrow is on me." Yongdu touched his pocket and felt the hard metal body of the Akka arrow, then shook his head.
The yaka arrow, also known as the whistle arrow used by Yondu, is a specialty of his home planet of Centauri. It is crafted from yaka, a rare and unique sound-sensitive metal. His people have long developed the technology to craft weapons and tools from yaka. This metal, after being fine-tuned by Yondu's people, has a natural compatibility with them.
Yondu's people had accumulated a wealth of data and experience in the research and control of sound-sensitive metals, and Yondu had also been exposed to some of this knowledge. He understood how to create a unique resonance with the sound-sensitive akka metal, controlling it to steer and attack as he wished. Of course, to achieve this with such ease, he needed another tool: the accompanying fins!
It's called a fin, but it's actually just a crystal-like piece of material that conforms to the curvature of the scalp. It amplifies resonance and, along with a certain degree of brainwave and mind control, greatly simplifies the difficulty of controlling the whistle arrow.
"What is that?" Star-Lord's attention was suddenly drawn to the sky. Countless mechanical parts around him were like a mechanical storm that was narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, like an inverted tornado. Amidst the roar of machinery in the void, they were piled up and assembled into a huge instrument.
As the instrument was powered up, the air around it inexplicably took on a heaviness. A brilliant purple light, drawn from the building, burst through the wall and, like metal caught by a magnet, clung firmly to the center of the instrument.
A masterpiece of purple halo!
…
"It's it!" Seeing the purple color and feeling the energy fluctuations emanating from it, General Grievous subconsciously determined that that was their target this time - the Cosmic Spirit Orb!
It can also be said to be the cosmic gemstone, or the infinity gem!
Ronan also witnessed this scene. The cosmic secrets accumulated by the Kree civilization also made him understand the true nature of that purple aura! His heart pounded violently in his chest at this moment. He was well aware of the legend of the Infinity Stones, and even more so, he knew that each one possessed incredible power! If he could control and wield their power, he could personally destroy the homeworld of the Xandar civilization without Thanos' help!
"Hand over the Cosmic Orb!" General Grievous shouted. Without waiting for Letari's response, he slightly bent his lower limbs, exerted his muscles, and jumped towards the direction of the Cosmic Orb, which was also the direction of the mechanical platform where it was pulled and captured.
However, General Grievous in mid-air was blown aside by a shock wave from the air, causing his idea and action of grabbing the Cosmic Orb first to fail.
"Ronan!" General Grievous roared angrily, yelling at Ronan who had suddenly attacked him.
Ronan ignored the roaring General Corvus Glaive. He had already decided to fight for the Cosmic Orb.
Give it to Thanos?
Why not just seize it himself and then personally destroy Xandar? Even if that angers Thanos, so what? With the power of the Infinity Stones and the backing of the Kree Empire, he's not afraid of Thanos.
Letari watched Ronan and the others fighting among themselves with cold eyes. He simply increased the power of the Void Factory and increased its manufacturing authority.
"The timing is just right. You are fortunate to witness the coming of the Lord's mighty power." Letari's face was filled with a mixture of piety and fanaticism. He raised his hands high, using himself as a transit station and signal point, frantically infusing the technical drawings of the data dimension and the collected materials into the purple gem in the sky.
Creak!
The surrounding metals and special minerals from the barren lands were processed in the void according to the blueprints and then transported to Letari's side. A vast sky of mechanical constructs danced around the mechanical platform, like a school of fish swimming in the sea, guarding the purple gem on the platform and Letari below. More mechanical constructs were summoned and rushed towards them.
The thickness of the mechanical storm alone is nearly 100 meters, and it is still getting thicker.
Mechanical constructs swarmed in from all directions, and the sky seemed to be obscured.
Star-Lord and others not far away saw one mechanical construct after another flying over their heads, and then looked at the battlefield that looked like an ever-expanding mechanical storm, and couldn't help swallowing their saliva.
Ronan's advance was halted by the mechanical storm. Every time he destroyed one or two mechanical constructs, four or five more would immediately replace them. Furthermore, these mechanical constructs continued to piece together and combine as needed, undergoing targeted mechanical evolution to hinder Ronan and General Corvus Glaive.
For example, the outer circle of mechanical constructs was practically maxed out for physical attacks. While Ronan's progress had been slow, he could still clear them with a single blow. But soon, he could only manage a dozen or so, and now, he had to work hard to eliminate just one or two. His progress had almost completely ground to a halt, and the expanding mechanical storm had even pushed him back a distance.
The same thing happened to General Corvus Glaive on the other side. Although his weapon possessed incredible power, targeted technological upgrades and new materials had slowed his progress. Even more difficult for him to accept was the change in the rules of the surrounding space, which was completely blocked and stagnant, prohibiting any form of teleportation.
This means that if you want to get close to the cosmic stone, you can only rely on force and ability to rush in. There is no better way.
Ronan and General Corvus Glaive, squeezed out, exchanged glances from afar. They instinctively felt a sense of pressure and a sense of foreboding. It seemed as if a powerful being was descending upon this place.
The mechanical storm is like the inside of the eye of a storm. The purple halo is now being pieced together and assembled by countless mechanical structures, which are wrapping the purple halo bit by bit into complex mechanical parts.
In a moment, a massive metal sphere, approximately three meters in diameter, resembling a larger-than-life replica of the Cosmic Spirit Orb, appeared atop the mechanical platform. As Letari activated the machine, a surge of energy erupted from within. The sphere's components trembled with metallic hums as the densely packed mass of parts began to spin. A purple glow permeated the sphere's fine lines and joints.

[Mechanical body being constructed]
The mechanical constructs of the surrounding mechanical storm rushed towards Letari and the Heart of the Apostle like young swallows flying into the arms and birds returning to their nests. In mid-air, the parts automatically fitted together and assembled together, and the rough framework of a human form gradually took shape.
After the skeletal frame is assembled, it is filled with flesh and covered with skin. Densely packed mechanical structures squeeze into the body of the mechanical giant along the frame and fit into the interfaces left on the skeleton.
The entire process gradually reassembled the giant's muscles, energy vessels, circuit boards, chips, nerve fibers, etc. Letari's body rose above the platform and engine, wrapped and protected by the construct.
But in the blink of an eye, the mechanical giant, previously a skeleton, was now filled with flesh and blood. Even though the mechanical storm had thinned out considerably, the outside world could already vaguely see some of the inner scene of the storm's eye through the cracks in the mechanical storm.
The next moment, some of the outermost mechanical structures acted as skin, covering the giant's body, completing the last step.
The increasingly thinning mechanical storm separated itself from the bulk of the mechanical constructs, forming a pair of massive metal wings behind the giant. As a purple halo spread across the giant's body, two mechanical eyes, radiating purple energy, seemed to possess a spiritual presence, looking down from above at Ronan, Corvus Glaive, and the others in the distance.
Various mechanical structures are still swarming around, as if welcoming and guarding a supreme king, like a mechanical galaxy ring, surrounding the mechanical giant.
