★Nuel's POV★
The pack's square was alive with people. Screams and cheers filled the air as all eight of us stepped onto the dais at the center. The arrangement had changed, this time, the dais stood in the middle while the crowd surrounded it in a perfect circle, except for one side where the Alpha and his guests sat.
Warriors stood lined behind them, warriors from different packs, each side watching the other like neither trusted the other to protect their Alpha.
I tsked inwardly. My father's men were among those standing guard. Why did he even come if he wasn't sure of his safety here in the North?
"Wolfizens of the North!" The priest's voice boomed across the crowd, echoing with authority. At once, the noise died down, and silence swept over the square.
Guards began handing each of us a bow and a pack of arrows as the priest continued,
