Salem,1777
"Witch, burn the witch," the crowd shouted.
On a platform, with branches laid around it. Is a woman tied to a pole. Annabell never believed she would be in this position. She was only 17 years old and being accused of being a witch. With her chin held high, she was not going to let the towns people know that they were effecting her. Her mothers warnings echoed in her head, never trust the towns people. If she had head her mothers warning she would have never been on that platform. Was it true she was a witch? Yes, but she was only trying to save her friends life.
Her friend had been struck by a weird sickness. When news arrived to her she immediately started making a special soup. One that her mother told her to only use for the family and no one else. Grabbing all the ingredients she need, she began making the soup. She had made a small soup with a special flower that would help cure the sickness. She immediately made a bowl and threw on her cloak. Walking out of the hut Annabell took off for her friends hut. When she arrived, Annabell politely knocked on the door. The girls father greeted her.
"Annabell, it's best if you go home child. Maria is sick and I don't want you to catch it to," Marias father stated.
"Please I brought soup, maybe this will help Maria? Can I please give it to her," Annabell begged Marias father.
With a sigh he debated it, he and his wife hadn't gotten sick. Neither had the other children as well. With deep consideration he let Annabell in. Annabell walked start to Maria's room. As Annabell entered she realized Maria's mother was about to feed her.
"Wait, I brought Maria some soup. I was wondering if she could have this instead,"Annabell asked shyly.
Maria's mother looked towards where Annabell and Maria's father was standing. A brief nod from the father, Maria's mother smiled sadly at Annabell and nooded her head. Annabell quickly moved over to the opposite side of where Maria's mother sat on the bed. Using the spoon Maria's mother was about to use. She grabbed a spoonful of soup, and she slowly let Maria sip the soup from the spoon. as Maria was done with the sip, Annabell quickly went for another scoop of soup. What Annabell hadn't expect that the flowers power would be more effective when consumed. Her friend illness was gone with only one bite, the girls father had watched the whole thing from the doorway with Maria's mother. His eyes bugged out of of his head. He quickly moved to Annabells side and grabbed for her. He dragged Annabell out of the house by her hair, brought her in middle of the town square and accused her of being a witch.
