Chapter 1 - One night, no Promises..

The club was a chaotic blur of neon lights, pounding music, and bodies pressed close. Talia moved through the crowd, her heart thudding with a mix of excitement and exhaustion. Tonight wasn't about love or forever. It was about forgetting , even if just for a few hours.

She sipped her drink, scanning the room, when her eyes locked with his. Ethan stood by the bar, sharp in his tailored suit but somehow lost in the chaos. His gaze held something that pulled her closer, not kindness, not softness , but raw, electric intensity.

Before she could think twice, he was beside her, leaning in over the noise. "You look like you could use some company," he said, voice low and smooth.

She smiled, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. "I was hoping you'd say that."

The night slipped away in a dizzying whirl , whispered conversations, laughter, touches that lingered a heartbeat too long. When the club's chaos became too much, Ethan led her out into the night, the cool air sharp against her flushed skin.

His apartment wasn't far. She didn't question the impulse , the desperation , only followed.

Inside, the world narrowed. No noise, no crowd , just the two of them.

Their lips met, hungry and searching. Clothes fell away like the walls they'd built around themselves.

Every touch was a spark, every sigh a confession. For one night, they lost themselves in the reckless fire of desire, tangled in sheets and shadows.

No names were exchanged.

No promises made.

When the first light threatened the horizon, Ethan dressed silently, kissed her temple, and left.

Talia lay there, breathless and alone , carrying a secret she hadn't even realized she was keeping.
