The sun was already high when Tenra finally emerged from his room with Asia and the other girls. After a leisurely breakfast, he called everyone together.
"Today's destination is Tenryuji Temple in Arashiyama. Let's get moving."
"Yes, President!"
Tenra led the kendo club girls from Kyoto Station onto the train bound for Arashiyama, picking a seat in the middle. Asia took her usual spot on his left, while Kiryuu Aika clung to his right.
"Kiryuu's really glued to the President today."
"So unfair! She's even holding his arm. I want to sit next to President too…"
"Doesn't Kiryuu seem… different? Or am I imagining things?"
Tenra overheard the whispers and shot Kiryuu a look. She was fidgeting, clearly enjoying the attention.
"You hear them? Behave yourself."
Kiryuu sniffed, looking smug. "They're just jealous."
But then she turned, giving Tenra a pitiful look. "You used me and now you're bored already? President, you're so cruel…"
Tenra's mouth twitched. He'd never met a girl quite as shameless as this one. He closed his eyes, refusing to play along. Let her act up if she wanted.
The train ride passed quickly. Soon, they arrived at the foot of Arashiyama, where the mountains blazed with red maple leaves—a fiery spectacle stretching as far as the eye could see.
They wandered, sightseeing and laughing, until they reached Tenryuji Temple.
"Tenryuji, huh… Ddraig, Albion, does this place mean anything to you two?"
With both Heavenly Dragons residing inside him, Tenra was always curious.
"Not sure. Albion and I might've fought here once. Hard to remember."
"We've battled in so many places, it's all a blur."
Their voices echoed in his mind. Tenra shrugged—just idle curiosity.
He was about to lead the girls inside when he spotted a familiar figure at the temple gate.
"Kunou?"
She wore her shrine maiden outfit from their first meeting, fox ears and tail hidden away. Clearly, she'd been waiting. When she saw Tenra, her eyes lit up and she ran over.
"Tenra-sama!"
"Kunou, are you waiting for someone?"
"I heard you'd be visiting today, so I came to wait for you."
"For me? Is something up?"
"W-well… Tenra-sama, you promised to help save my mother, but I haven't done anything to repay you. So… if you don't mind, let me be your guide today."
Her cheeks flushed pink. This was all she could think of to repay his kindness, however small it seemed.
"That'd be great. Thanks, Kunou."
"Mm!" Kunou beamed.
Kyoto was her family's domain—she knew every corner. She led Tenra and the kendo club girls through hidden paths and local hotspots, even treating them to famous snacks. Compared to other classes still wandering the mountains, they were living the dream.
By noon, Tenra and the girls stopped at a tavern at the base of the mountain. Rossweisse and Azazel were there too, each with their own students. But—
"I'm not drunk! Let go, let go! I wanna drink more!"
Rossweisse was in full drunken meltdown. Several girls struggled to hold her upright as a crowd of boys snapped photos, drooling over the spectacle.
"Azazel, you let her drink?"
"You're finally here! Please, get her under control."
"She had one cup and went off the rails. Now she won't stop."
Rossweisse was the type who got wasted instantly—and her drunken antics were legendary. Azazel looked desperate, rubbing his temples. Tenra's arrival was a godsend.
He motioned for the girls to let go and scooped up Rossweisse, who reeked of alcohol.
"You all eat downstairs. I'll take Rossweisse-sensei to rest."
He told the kendo club girls, asked the staff for a room, and carried Rossweisse upstairs.
"My phone's broken!"
"Mine too!"
"Damn it, who deleted the drunk shots of Rossweisse-sensei?!"
Downstairs, the boys wailed in despair as Tenra disappeared with Rossweisse.
"I wanna drink more! I'm not drunk! I've been drinking with that old geezer Odin since I became his attendant!"
"Yeah, yeah. You're not drunk, I get it."
Tenra coaxed her gently, carrying her into the bathroom. She was covered in grime and alcohol. He started undressing her to get her cleaned up.
"You're taking off my clothes!"
Rossweisse grabbed his hands, glaring at him with glassy eyes.
"How else am I supposed to bathe you? Stop fussing, let go."
Tenra was utterly unfazed.
"Oh, right. Go ahead then."
She tilted her head, then released him.
Tenra smirked and got to work, stripping her down to nothing.
He had to admit—Rossweisse's body was a work of art. Snow-white skin, flawless curves, not an ounce of extra flesh. Those long, shapely legs made his throat go dry.
Suppressing his own urges, Tenra filled the tub with hot water and dropped her in, grabbing a towel to scrub her clean.
Rossweisse closed her eyes, surrendering to Tenra's care, but kept muttering drunkenly.
"Ugh… I remember now. That damn Odin! I busted my ass helping him, and all he did was act like an idiot—'Oh my, young lady!' 'Oh my, sake!' 'Oh my, breasts!' Never acted dignified, not once!"
"All the other warriors in Valhalla call me the geezer's maid! I get paid peanuts and have to take care of his life. It's all his fault!"
"Because of him, I don't have a boyfriend! No boyfriend! No boyfriend at all!!!"
"Waaahhh…"
She dissolved into tears, thrashing and splashing water everywhere.
A boyfriendless Valkyrie—Tenra couldn't help but feel sorry for her.
He made up his mind. He'd help her out.
"Who says you don't have a boyfriend? I'm your boyfriend, aren't I?"
He stroked her cheek, smiling.
"You're my boyfriend? I don't believe you! You're lying!"
She hugged him, peering suspiciously.
"Why not? I really am."
Tenra's smile didn't waver. He refused to believe he couldn't handle one drunken Valkyrie.
"Don't believe it! Unless you prove it!"
She splashed the water, demanding proof.
"How should I prove it?"
A glint flickered in Tenra's eyes.
"Kiss me! If you don't, you're not my boyfriend!"
She hugged him tighter, laying down her terms.
Tenra grinned. "Easy. Just watch—I'll prove it."
Without hesitation, he lifted her chin and pressed his lips to hers.
"Mmm…"
Rossweisse's eyes widened, her first instinct to struggle. But it was hopeless.
Soon, the haze in her eyes deepened. She stopped resisting, responding hungrily instead.
Who knew how long they stayed locked together before finally breaking apart, gasping for breath—a silver thread still connecting their lips.
"So? Do you believe me now, Rossweisse? I'm your boyfriend."
Tenra wiped his mouth, smiling.
"Mm… I believe you. You're my boyfriend."
"Waaah… I finally have a boyfriend! I'm not a Valkyrie whose history is just her age anymore! Waaah…"
She smiled foolishly, then burst into tears again.
Moved to tears by just finding a boyfriend—what a pitiful Valkyrie.
Tenra felt a little shameless, but honestly, what was the harm?
He'd always planned to add Rossweisse to his harem. She was beautiful, talented, and adorable—only an idiot would let someone else have her.
His deal with Odin, arranging for Rossweisse to join Rias's household, was meant to be a slow conquest. But sometimes, it was nice to claim a little reward ahead of time.
"Good girl, turn around. Let me wash your back."
"Okay…"
Now that she'd accepted Tenra as her boyfriend, Rossweisse was obedient to a fault. What should have been a quick bath stretched out for ages. Who knew what else went on in there?
Finally, Tenra tucked the sleeping Rossweisse into bed, kissed her flawless cheek, and left the room. Humming contentedly, he headed downstairs—only to find…
Everyone was gone!
