Chapter 157 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 157: Lord of the Twin Heavens

As the last of the blinding radiance faded, the world stilled. For a heartbeat, no one moved. Then, as if waking from a dream, every gaze snapped to where Tenra stood.

What they saw stole the breath from their lungs.

Tenra was clad in armor that shimmered with both crimson and silver-white, a fusion of majesty and menace. Two pairs of wings unfurled from his back—fiery red dragon wings and ethereal blue-white light wings, each radiating a power that seemed to warp the very air.

He had done it. Against all odds, Tenra had fused the powers of the Two Heavenly Dragons.

"Hahahaha! Partner, you actually pulled it off!"

"Ddraig… so this is your host…"

"No. From this moment on, he's ours."

The voices of Ddraig and Albion rang out from the jewels embedded in Tenra's gauntlets—Ddraig's tone wild with pride, Albion's edged with awe and disbelief.

To truly unite their powers? Unthinkable. Before today, no one had even dared to imagine something so mad.

Beneath the armor, Tenra's heart hammered with exhilaration. The ordeal had nearly killed him—but he'd survived. He'd become the one and only Lord of the Twin Heavens, the master of both dragons' might.

He flexed his hands, feeling the oceanic surge of power coursing through his veins. Even he was stunned. His spiritual energy had multiplied—this was no simple sum of parts. The Red and White had fused into a perfect cycle: the Red Emperor's infinite self-boost, the White Emperor's infinite enemy weakening. The combination was monstrous.

For the first time, Tenra felt a confidence bordering on invincibility. Only the transcendent, or the two gods themselves, could threaten him now.

He tipped his head back, gazing at the sky, silent for a long moment.

So this… was true power. It was intoxicating.

But he forced himself to steady his heart. Power was a tool, not an end. His ambitions stretched far beyond this moment. He would not let strength dull his purpose.

With a sharp exhale, Tenra thrust a fist toward the sky. A colossal phantom fist materialized, surging upward with the force of a tidal wave.

Enough lurking in the shadows. It was time to drag the rat into the open.

A man's voice rang out overhead, tinged with wry annoyance. "Tch, caught already?"

"Ruyi Jingu Bang!"

A golden staff swept across the sky, colliding with Tenra's phantom fist in a thunderous explosion that shook the earth. In the aftermath, a figure materialized—armored, grinning, golden staff in hand.

"Scary stuff, scary stuff. No wonder they call you the legendary Sacred Gear plunderer—the guy who beat Vali."

The newcomer's eyes sparkled with mischief.

"You're Bikou, right? Sun Wukong's descendant?" Tenra asked, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"Whoa, didn't expect you to know me. I'm honored." Bikou twirled his staff. "You here to pick up Vali?"

"That was the plan. But who could've guessed Vali would lose and have his Sacred Gear stolen? That makes things tricky—our group doesn't keep dead weight around."

He scratched his head, looking genuinely troubled. Vali had been impressive, maybe even companion material. But without his Sacred Gear? Bikou had no use for him.

"Bikou, you're just in time—help me take them down!" Katerea's voice cut in, sharp with frustration.

Her plans were in ruins. Vali's defeat had thrown everything into chaos, but Bikou's arrival gave her a sliver of hope. She hated the monkey, but his strength was undeniable. If he could just hold off Michael and Azazel, she could use the serpent's power to kill Sirzechs and Serafall—take back the Leviathan throne she believed was hers.

Bikou snorted, leaping away from her. "Don't drag me into your suicidal mess, lady. If you want to die, go alone!"

He shot her a look of genuine pity. Did she really not see it? Forget the angels and demon lords—Tenra alone could crush them all. Their earlier exchange had made that perfectly clear.

"I'm out. Vali's done, so I'm heading home."

He tapped his staff. "Golden Cloud!"

A golden cloud rose beneath his feet, and Bikou shot into the sky, gone as quickly as he'd appeared.

Katerea's face twisted with fury. "Damn it!" she spat. Neither the White Emperor nor that damn monkey could be counted on!

She knew her odds were slim with just herself and a handful of expendable magicians. But to give up now? Unthinkable.

"Katerea, will you surrender, or do I have to come get you?" Tenra's eyes narrowed.

If she'd run with Bikou, he would've let her go. But she'd chosen to stay. He wouldn't show mercy.

"Arrogant fool! Don't think beating that useless Vali makes you invincible!" Katerea hissed. "Let me show you the power of true Leviathan blood!"

Her aura exploded, serpent power surging as she unleashed a barrage of magic.

But—

"Divide. Divide. Divide."

The White Emperor's power flared. Katerea's spells unraveled, their force sapped away before they could even reach Tenra.

"Impossible!" she screamed, voice cracking. That had been her strongest attack—one that could level even demon lords. Yet it hadn't even scratched him.

A cold realization clawed at her: maybe Vali wasn't the failure she'd thought. Maybe the monster standing before her was simply on another level.

"Is that all?" Tenra's voice was flat, almost bored.

He'd wanted to test his new power, but this was barely a warm-up. Disappointment flickered across his face.

He didn't bother with more words. In a blur, he appeared before Katerea and drove his fist into her abdomen.

Her eyes went wide. She staggered, clutching her stomach, then collapsed to the ground, disbelief etched across her face.

She was Leviathan's heir. She'd received the serpent's power from Ophis. She was—

But none of it mattered. She'd been defeated in a single blow.

"Lady Katerea!" her magicians cried, panic in their voices. They hurled spells at Tenra, but their attacks were so feeble he didn't even bother activating the White Emperor's power.

"Yata no Kagami."

Tenra summoned one of his many Sacred Gears. An ancient, massive mirror floated into the air, its surface swirling with darkness.

At Tenra's command, the mirror blazed with light, transforming into a vortex that sucked Katerea and her screaming followers inside.

Silence fell once more. But in the hearts of those who witnessed it, the shock would echo for a long, long time.
