I look at the underground base I made and smile a little. Using the combination of the [Primordial Earth], [Tinker–Ecology], and [Assembly], I create this base in a matter of a day. The [Assembly] power is the one carrying this project because I need to manually create the machine without it.
The tools in the Mechanicus Shrine near the factory are not as good as I thought they were. All of them are specialized tools for certain things, and I cannot use them for my current project. Because of this, I rely on my [Assembly] power to create more tools and machines.
Anyway, after twelve hours of working, the base is done, and we now have a secure and hidden base.
"My lord… Can we truly live here?"
I turn around and see Rita and the others looking around in wonder. I smile at her and say.
"Of course. This will be our new home from now on. We have energy through the solar panel hidden outside and water from the Moisture Vaporator. As for food, I already have a small farm on the corner of the base."
She looks at me with a new light before saying.
"Then what can we do to help you, my lord? We want to work. We cannot just rely on your kindness. We want to pay you for all the hard work you put in for us. Let us pay you back."
I look at them and want to say that I don't need it. However, Canto makes a great argument saying that having them have something to do is better than letting them be without any goal or anything to do.
It will make it easier for them because they will not think they are a burden, but a small cog inside a machine. It is a small cog, but a cog inside a machine nonetheless. It gives them purpose, and that is all that matters.
"Very well. I need you guys to take care of the farm for me. It needs to be watered daily, and to do that, you need to collect the water from the machine outside. I already showed you how to collect them."
They nod their heads.
"Make sure not to water the plants too much and store the remaining water in the container. Those are clean waters we can drink."
"We shall do that, my lord! Leave it to us!"
Rita and the others nod their heads, and I can see light shine inside their eyes. They are happy with their jobs. I smile a little and look at the people who are holding weapons.
"As for the seven of you, I need your help. We will start rescuing others."
Before the complete blackout, Canto could tap into one of the cameras and catch a glimpse of cages full of people, and she could record the conversation. They are all slaves who are forced to work for the heretics.
However, there is one particular place Canto can hear about. It is the Torture Chamber or the Pig Pen, as they call it. This is where the heretic herds the civilians and tortures them. They are nothing but toys for the heretic's sick pleasure.
And I want to rescue them. However, there are many of them, and I know I cannot do it alone. I need people to watch my back, or at least help me in case I get surrounded.
"There is something that the heretic called the Pig Pen. This is where they herd the civilians and torture them. The one that was chosen was already tortured and killed. However, at least thirty of them are still left untouched. We can use this darkness to sneak around and rescue the people."
I look at them for a few seconds and say.
"This will be dangerous, and there is a chance of you dying. There is a reason why I decided to complete this base first. I will not force you to come if you want to stay here. However, if anyone is willing to come with me, we will rescue the others."
They look at each other for a few seconds before two of them walk forward, one woman and one man. The woman looks at me and says,
"Merc life calls me back, eh? Aye, I'm yours, m'lord. Let's drag those poor sods out, kickin' an' safe. Carna is yours, m'lord!"
"I might be considered a heretic for disrespecting the noble, but I am still the Son of Tertium. I will rescue my siblings. Kian will join you, my lord."
I give them a nod and say.
"Then welcome. We will depart when the first moon is above us. We will use darkness as our cover and rescue the prisoner. Prepare your weapons, eat and drink to your heart's content."
As for me, I need to give them the night vision helmet I found in the Mechanicus Shrine. That place might not have good tools, but there are a lot of good things in there. The night vision helmet and a massive crate full of weapons and ammunition are among them.

I press the roll button and watch it roll. After a few seconds, it stops, and a hologram appears in front of me.

"If Tony Stark could make do with it, so can you." It's a box containing an unlimited amount of scrapped electronics that are stealthily stolen from Earth. Any broken electronics that the average Joe may have thrown away are here. You have to physically reach in and grab it, though. No turning the box upside down.
Huh? This is not bad, but not good either. It is a waste of a Platinum Ticket. Oh well. With this, I can create a better thing for the base, but it is not enough to create high-end tinker techs. I have a few hours until the first moon reaches above us, and I can create a better water producer with this.
Oh, well. Get back to work, I guess.

Under the cover of the night, three individuals run through the Tertium tunnel. They are running through the Tertium Hive tunnel with one mission in mind: rescuing all the civilians captured by the heretics.
These people are Kael and his group.
"Five enemies, at 67 points."
Kael and the others stop, then look in the direction Kael gives them. Kael aims and says.
"Carna, take the one on the left. Kian, second left. I will take the rest. Aim."
The two of them take aim, and after a few seconds, Kael says.
"Fire."
Three heads explode, and Kael immediately aims for the rest of the enemies. When they are done, they continue to run deep into the Underhive of Tertium. After a few kilometers of running, they arrive in the former where they can see a group of thirty infected laughing, and eating what looks like human flesh.
Carna and Kian look at them in anger, while Kael looks calm, but even the two of them can feel the rolling wave of anger coming out of him. Kael is the type of person who becomes calm when his anger reaches a certain point.
"Carna, Kian. Take out your autogun. We will kill them all. I will control the wall and create a cage for them. Kill them while they are unprepared."
"Understood."
"Roger, m'lord."
Carna takes out two grenades and prepares to throw them while Kian points his heavy autogun at the group underneath them.
Kael moves his hand and controls the wall around the heretics. With a flick of his hand, they move and create a cage for the heretics. When they are trapped and protecting the prison behind them, Carna throws the grenades in her hands, and Kian starts shooting.
Because of the curse of Nurgle, they are able to take a lot of hits before they go down and are able to take their weapons. They aim at Kael and the others, but before they can do anything, Kael moves his hand and controls the wall.
Spike flew out of the wall and hit the weapons in their hands. Kael knows the spike cannot kill the infected, but it is enough to throw the weapons in their hands and let the others do the work.
It does not take long before Kael and his team take them all. When they are gone, Kael and his team slowly walk to the middle of the prison area, and Kael slowly puts down the cage. As they walk closer, they can see a lot of corpses inside the steel cage, but there are fifteen live humans in there.
They look at Kael in fear, shock, and a small hint of hope.
Kael kneels in front of them and says.
"You do not need to fear. We are here to help you and rescue you from this hell. Hold tight, okay?"
