A prison break is not something that can be accomplished overnight.

Rocket had been observing the structure of The Klyn for the past few days, including the guards' entry and exit times, the central control console's activation times, and various other miscellaneous details.

Kevin couldn't explain the specifics, as there was too much alien technology involved, and as an Earthling, he simply didn't understand it.

But he didn't need to understand; he just needed to wait for Rocket to figure everything out, and then follow Rocket out.

As for before the prison break…

Kevin and the others needed to behave themselves, at least not letting anyone see that they had any intention or ability to escape.

Kevin therefore temporarily settled into the prison, eating the nutritional meals provided by the prison daily, drinking plain water, and sleeping in the foul-smelling cell.

Although life was a bit harder compared to his time at Vought, Kevin could still barely adapt.

And the only things that made Kevin uncomfortable were these.

The news that Kevin had taught Drax a lesson that night somehow spread throughout the prison, and as a result, everyone now looked at Kevin with a mix of wariness, awe, and fear.

There was no prison bullying as he had imagined; instead, people were already extremely grateful that Kevin wasn't bullying them.

Kevin unwittingly became a prison overlord, and Gamora and the others also benefited, with no one daring to bully them anymore.

Gamora could also openly come out to eat without worrying about being blocked at the door by a crowd of people and unable to get out.

And because of this…

Gamora could now have lunch with Kevin.

"Ma'am, I think it would be better for you to sit with Star-Lord; he'd be very happy."

Eating the prison-provided, not-too-bad but not-too-good nutritional meal, Kevin chewed his food and pointed to Star-Lord, who was dishing out food nearby.

Gamora glanced at Star-Lord expressionlessly:

"He'll come over and sit down on his own eventually."

"That's true too."

Kevin nodded and continued eating. Gamora suddenly changed the subject and asked:

"You seem to know a lot?"

"Not bad. As I said, I just know a tiny bit more than you all."

"Then do you know what the cosmic orb is? And do you know why Thanos wants the cosmic orb?"

Gamora inquired.

Although Star-Lord and the others had always known that Ronan wanted the cosmic orb, what they didn't know was that Ronan was now also working for Thanos.

The one who truly wanted the cosmic orb was Thanos, otherwise he wouldn't have brought Thanos's two daughters along.

That's why Gamora said here that Thanos wanted the cosmic orb.

Although Gamora's question was phrased as an inquiry, her tone was very certain, as if she was convinced that Kevin knew some secrets she didn't.

Kevin slowly ate his food, and after swallowing what was in his mouth, he looked up at Gamora:

"I do know, but it doesn't seem to concern you. You just need to sell the orb to the buyer and take the money."

Gamora fell silent. She gazed intently at Kevin, and after a long while, she said:

"If you knew what kind of person Thanos is, you would know very well that he's not someone who does things without reason. He wants the cosmic orb because it absolutely plays a crucial role in some of his plans. If what's inside this orb would harm the universe…"

"Don't worry, Thanos won't get this orb, at least not for now."

Kevin didn't want to explain too much to Gamora; anyway, once they reached the Collector, the Collector would explain everything clearly to Gamora.

It was better to save his breath and continue advancing the plot.

Gamora was about to ask more questions when Star-Lord, who had already finished getting his food, plopped down beside Gamora, wearing what he thought was a charming smile, and asked:

"What's up, you two? What are you discussing? Are you talking about how to escape this prison?"

Neither of them answered, so Rocket interjected:

"Oh, even though those two are good fighters, breaking out of prison isn't something you can solve just by fighting. I bet they were flirting just now. I think Kevin's abilities would be very interesting when doing certain things."

"You just reminded me, Kevin, when you sleep with women, they must go wild, right?"

Star-Lord chimed in from the side.

Gamora said, unable to bear it:

"Can you guys stop talking about such topics in front of me? Shouldn't we be discussing how to break out of prison right now?!"

"About that." Star-Lord looked at Rocket: "He already has a clue."

"Well, as I just said, get the guards' wristbands, deal with the control tower, deal with the automatic defense system, then get me that guy's prosthetic leg that I need, and finally… go to that thing flashing yellow light in the back, pull off the green wire inside, and take the energy battery I need…"

Rocket rattled off a long list, then spread his two small paws:

"It's that simple."

"It's not easy to get close to the place you mentioned."

Star-Lord looked back and said to Rocket.

The box that Rocket mentioned, flashing yellow light, was located directly beneath the control console, where there were guards on duty watching it. It wouldn't be easy to get it out.

Before that, the guards needed to be distracted.

"This is where our great magician needs to help."

Rocket said, looking at Kevin.

Kevin raised his eyebrows, his gaze returning from Groot, who was already walking towards the control console, and asked in surprise:

"Me?"

"Of course, these Nova Corps are simply idiots; they didn't even seal your abilities. When it's time to execute the prison break plan, you'll use your abilities to give them a kinky bondage session, and we'll take the battery while they're distracted, then enter the control console to complete our prison break plan."

After Rocket finished speaking, he tapped the edge of his metal meal box, "Now, does anyone have any objections?"

Kevin silently raised his hand.

Rocket looked at him: "Alright, do you have any other ideas?"

"I don't have any other ideas… it's just that the battery you mentioned, Groot seems to have already taken it off."

Kevin said, pointing behind the group.

The others instantly turned their heads and indeed saw the tree-man Groot, relying on his racial characteristics, stretching his body to retrieve the energy battery located at a high position, and was forcefully tearing off the green connecting wire behind it.

Before anyone could stop him, Groot pulled with force, the green wires were cleanly torn off, and the energy battery completely fell into his hand.

Then, as expected, the entire prison began to blare with a piercing alarm.

This scene stunned everyone. After a brief moment of shock, Rocket extended his small paw and forcefully slapped his forehead, then slid it down his face.

He glared at Kevin:

"…Why didn't you warn me sooner?"

"Because I was so engrossed in listening to your plan? How do you like that reason?"

Kevin had an innocent expression.

Although he was just following the plot…

"Well, thank you very much!! Alright, now the plan has changed, the battery is in hand, the rest is to take it one step at a time, let's move!!"

Rocket had no way to deal with Kevin, and now that Groot had taken the battery and attracted all the guards' attention, it was the perfect time for them to act. Rocket also wasn't in the mood to say anything more to Kevin.

Since the plan couldn't keep up with the changes, they would just follow the revised plan.

"I'll go get the guards' wristbands."

Gamora immediately stood up.

Star-Lord also stood up at the same time: "I'll go get the prosthetic leg."

"I'll form the head… no, I mean I'll go help Groot."

Kevin also got up and walked towards Groot.

The The Klyn drone force arrived very quickly; almost the second Groot took the battery, they swarmed out of the passage, surrounding Groot in the center.

Kevin looked at the machine guns beneath the drones and couldn't help but shake his head.

It was clearly alien technology, yet the weapons mounted on the drones were not energy-based firearms, but rather gunpowder-based bullets.

He really couldn't understand whether these aliens' technology was advanced or primitive, which made Kevin feel no tension at all.

To be fair, he didn't think the bullets from these machine guns could penetrate Groot's skin defense.

And as for his own defense, these drones certainly couldn't break through it.

So, facing this group of drones, Kevin walked directly towards Groot without any hesitation, and said to him:

"Give me the battery."

"I am Groot."

Groot said, handing the battery to Kevin.

Kevin still didn't understand what he was saying, but he figured it must be something like 'protect it well' or 'it's up to you.'

It was at the same moment Groot handed the battery to Kevin that the guards in the control console issued a final ultimatum to the two:

"Prisoners! Immediately put down the battery in your hands and return to your cells, otherwise we will open fire! Last warning!"

Listening to the warning in his ear, and weighing the battery in his hand, Kevin looked up and grinned at an angle visible to the guards in the control console:

"If you have the guts, come and get it?"

Kevin's attitude could be said to be extremely arrogant, not putting the guards in his eyes at all.

The guards on duty could not tolerate such a provocation from a prisoner. After confirming that Kevin had no intention of surrendering, they immediately issued an order to the drone swarm:

"Open fire!!"

Da da da da—

The muzzles beneath the drones spewed flames. Kevin tore off his prison uniform, wrapped the energy battery in it, and, naked, welcomed the rain of bullets.

Having been transmigrated as a deep-sea creature for so long, this was Kevin's first real encounter with large-scale firearms.

And it was even so-called alien technology.

Before the firing began, Kevin's heart was still a little uneasy.

Although these machine guns appeared to use 'ancient' gunpowder-type bullets, what if there was alien technology enhancement in them?

What if they only looked like gunpowder bullets, but were actually specially made alien bullets?

That might break his body's defense.

Therefore, Kevin was already prepared to control the water flow to cover his entire body; as soon as a bullet broke his skin, he would immediately control the surrounding pure water to protect himself and destroy these drones that were firing at him with abandon.

But when the first bullet landed on Kevin's body and bounced off his skin like a stone that had lost its momentum, Kevin's lips couldn't help but curve upwards.

It seemed that even in a different world, even with so-called alien technology, nothing could cause him harm now.

At least these 'retro' toys couldn't.

"This puts my mind at ease."

His raised heart fell back into his stomach, and light emanated from Kevin's eyes as he looked at the drones.

Since nothing here could harm him.

Then let him.

Cause a ruckus!
